Brilliant
I bought this from a strong recommendation of a friend, this is by far the best car kit i have had for my fone, very good suction pad, will not move at all, i transfer it from my car to my lorry every day even in the lorry the fone dors not move or wobble as we go along, the lead is very good, suction pad for that as well is good also noce long lead. Overall very good product

Great piece of kit
Very impressed with this holder. Very light but holds phone securely and sticks well to screen. Charging lead is a bit bulky but is long enough to reach.

The cradle sticks firmly onto the windscreen and holds the desire hd pretty well. No problems at all.

Does exactly what it says on the Tin!
Arrived very quickly. Stuck it to my windscreen and put the phone into it!
The screen attachment is the best i've seen in a while as it sticks to the windscreen very easily.
Its much better than my wife's non-branded htc holder which is difficult to get the phone in and out of.
Charger cable works well but the little sucker cup never sticks.
Overall an excellent product. Should have bought it ages ago!

Just got my Car kit and my overall 1st impression was ok.
When I set eyes on the holder itself I thought the plastic was a bit thin and made of a material that won't last with the long exposure to heat and sun light. Besides that the back of the cellphone is very exposed to direct sunlight making it very hot. Hope that won't damage the cellphone on long term use
The main support is very strong and firm and the suction hold it in place very firmly.
The cellphone grip is thigh and there is no risk falling of the support.
The micro USB has a suction cap embedded in the cable to keep it in place. The car charger is a bit big and in my case its hard to find the right position in the lighter socked to make connection.
Overall is ok. Let's see if it lasts for a long time.

Perfect bit of Kit.
Kit is exactly what I needed. It fist perfectly on to the dashboard, a smooth surface, and the extra suction pad on the power lead allows the cable to be stowwed very tidily.
Would recommend this to everyone.

Very pleased
This is a quality product well worth the price. It fits the phone perfectly and I have had no problems with it scratching the phone as some reviews suggest. The suction cup is very sturdy and there is no vibration of the phone when driving. I would have no hesitation in reccomending this kit.

well engineered
This holder is a breath of fresh air after my last one(goose neck). When I took it out of the packaging I was confident that it would do the job, it looked and actually is well engineered and very sturdy. I stuck it onto my screen and I could tell it wasn't going nowhere. The phone is a perfect fit and very easy to get on and off. I can be turned to panoramic view very easily, there is zero vibration whilst driving. This kit also comes with an extra long charging wire and a great12v/usb charger. You can't go wrong with this kit, I am really happy I bought it, its worth every penny.

HTC Desire HD car kit
This is a well made and perfect fit. The charger that it comes with gives a very fast charge, I would recommend this to anyone thinking of buying a car kit for their phone.

Works great.
It works as advertised. No frills just holds your phone and allows charging on the go. Easy to set up.
The only downside is that I have to remove my phone cover to fit it in the holder but that's a minor niggle.

Perfect fit
An excellent holder - it fits the phone perfectly tight enough to be secure without being too much effort to take the phone in/out. Suction mount is simple but secure and the swivel ball has a tightening "nut" so you can set how rigidly fixed the phone is at a set angle.

perfect
bought this holder for my desire HD, and although £30 may seem like a lot for an in car holder it beats the other holders available hands down
the cradle is a perfect fit for the phone holds it steady and secure, you can use all the touch screen features on the phone without having to worry about the device moving
the suction cup is very solid and doesn't leave a ring, and the unit can be tilted almost 180 degrees so you can attach to side window or wind screen
i even mount it on the rear side window and play cartoons on the device for the baby to watch whilst in the car seat on long journeys
overall i think you will not find a better cradle for the DHD

Great kit for your mobile.
Nice & firm on screen with good suction pad.
If your gonna buy one, then buy the best one & don't waste your money on copy's. come's complete holder, cable & cigi plug.

HTC Desire Car Kit
Good holder for the HTC Desire HD, phone fits in easily etc. The only down side is the car charger enclosed, the one i had previously bought had sockets for 2 USB charging connection and the cord was coiled, the one enclosed was a single charger and straight cord, so it sitting in the glove box for anyone else to use.

Good enough
The car kit is good enough for travelling with the famous DHD. The phone fits perfectly, you just have to find the right way to handle the clips to avoid accidental scratches of the case. The quick picture guide provided in the box is more than suggestive on that. The USB cable is long enough for any situation. And the USB cable has some physical sensor which tells the phone to switch automatically to Navigation mode.

Works really well for me.
As stated in some other reviews, the desire hd is a very snug fit, but I have not had any problems or scratches on the phone. Easy to install, and the charger cable is ample for my needs (like the way the charger lights up with htc when active). Have tried to use with a phone cover fitted, but is too tight. So you have to remove the cover. Not a problem with the one I have, but could be for some.

Good fit
Fits the desires hd well and attaches to the windscreen without problem. It as a very long power lead which is great for me since my power socket is on the far side of the gear selector in my audi. It is expensive for what it is but it is an official htc item and it does work well.

Great Product
I have had some car phone holders in my time but this one is probably the best I have ever had.
Sticks to the Windscreen really well. No fear of it ever coming off unless you want it to.
There is no Wabble when on bumpy roads or speed bumps.
Some people have said it scratches the phone, but I use mine every day and it has not left a single mark.
Comes with HTC Car USB Charger and a Long enough lead to hide it all away.
This holder has the same build quality as the Phone it holds.
All in all top marks.

Car kit
Does what it says on the tin, I don't see what people problem is with the fit of it?
Only thing I can think of is that this people have 'skins' or other tight fitting covers, in which case, it obviously wouldn't fit a car kit like this unless you took the other cover off.
I love it, over the past few years every time I have got a new HTC I have bought a car kit specific to the phone from this site and it's never been less than great. I will continue to keep buying these when I get a new phone

Does the job
Difficult to review such a basic item but I've had it in the car now for a month and well it does what it says on the box.
Service from mobilefun was good.
Lead is a bit stiff and unyeilding. Activates the "car panel" as soon as you plug in but beyond that seems to be made of good quality materials.

Ideal
Being on a small island with short journeys, I really don't need the power cable except travelling off-island. However, the cradle fits the phone well and the sucker sticks to the windscreen perfectly.

Got this home and put it into the car job done.It holds the htc desire well but if your not careful you can scratch the phone releasing it from the cradle,but at least you know it has a good hold on the phone.A better way would of been to use spring release but the product is good nontheless

HTC Desire HD Car Upgrade Kit - CU S440. Does what
The kit arrived with the usual punctuallity that I have come to expect when dealing with MobileFun. It did everything that was promised, the phone fits perfectly and the suction cup on the charging lead is a nice touch.

Ok, but not for me
Having read the reviews for this product, I couldn't wait to receive it. It was despatched as soon as it came back into stock.
Overall, I was really disappointed. The item is well made but the cradle fit is so tight I almost scratched my phone trying to remove it. Doing this regularly isn't really an option. If you want to leave the phone in the cradle and just unclip it from the mount, then fine. I didn't unpack the rest but I'm sure the charger will be fine and the usb cable was the same high quality as the one that comes with the phone.
I've now gone for another product so that I don't have to fiddle with my phone every time I get in and out of the car. I can also now leave my nice silicon, flexishield bumper case on. (A good thing too as it hit the concrete floor a week after I had it! No damage though :) Thankfully)

Great product
It was a difficult choice, but I decided to go for the official HTC car kit. Really pleased I did. It's really well made and fits onto dashboard/windscreen perfectly (not going to come off!) It is an "active" connection meaning the car dock comes on (not that I use that) but it's good when used with the App Tasker which reads out SMS when plugged in.

Premium product so worth the price.
Found this kit on HTCs online store but at a higher price. I chose this kit as I wanted one designed specifically for the Desire HD not some generic kit made by a 3rd party. Very neat and tidy, easy to set up, effective but compact suction cup on the holder itself (and one on the power lead as well - not sure why though) and they even supply a wipe to clean the windscreen before attaching the suction cup. Perfect for using sat nav apps or for playback of music whilst driving.
Only minor concern is that the holder seems to only hold the device without a protective case although I need to confirm this when my HTC case arrives from another vendor. If so I will need to take the phone out of its case each time I want to user the holder which could become irritating.
Should finally add that the charger is also 1st rate but is a standard usb charger with the special cable, so to should be able to use it to charge any usb device.

Brilliant design, great buy
Really good piece of kit. The holder is the perfect size and easy to slot the phone in and out. Sticks to the windscreen really well and is easy to secure and release with the clip. Can rotate the phone easily and smoothly between landscape and portrait positions. The charger has a really long lead, complete with a brilliant mini suction pad to secure it out of the way of the gear stick/radio etc. Charge is really good and has enabled me to use my HTC Desire HD as Sat Nav. Brilliant product, really glad I paid the little extra for the genuine HTC version.

Great buy
This is a quality car holder. Sticks like glue to the screen and keeps all buttons accessible. Definitely the best holder I have tried. (And I have tried a cheapo £4 one and the Dash Genie)

A quality bit of kit
I purchased a cheap generic car holder for my old Nokia from a well known auction website, it was cheap but the fact was i never used it. So I thought I spend a bit more this time around on the HTC made one.
At around £27 I would not call it cheap, however it does work very well, the cradle itself is rock solid and does not wobble, and when the charging lead is pluged in it automaticly puts the phone into dashboard mode.
All in all well worth it for such a great phone

almost perfect, but not quite
The phone holder is brilliant and attached to the windscreen and held the phone very securely, the cable was also of a good quality as you would expect however the cigarette socket would not stay in either of cars and I had to buy a third party cigarette to usb adapter to use with it...

Expensive but works
Seems ver expensive but does the job its designed for well. The only issue is its quite a tight fit so you couldn't use a case and it feels like it might scrath the phone (not that it has yet it just feels like it might)

Good with limits
This is perfect IF you don't want any protection for your phone. It will only work if you have no case/cover as it is a VERY snug fit. I wish this had been clear as otherwise I wouldn't have bought this product :(

Waited months for these!!
At last they arrived! Easy to put up in car and hold the mobile in place safely. The cable is quite long and gets in the way. There is no light on the charger plug to see if it is actually on. The HTC Desire HD does not fit in cradle with the cover on.The car panel comes on automatic but stays vertical only which takes up space on windscreen and needs turning when using the maps. I have to turn the mobile into horizontal position.
Apart from that, it's ok.

Just the job
This cradle is just the job if you have a HTC desire HD. The unit sticks on the winscreen really well and can swivel the phone round really easy to switch portrait to landscape. The cradle leaves the jack for charger and headphone output free so can connect bundled charger and a line out. The charger is generic in that any USB in can be attached. It has HTC on it which glows white when powered (pretty cool.) Other buttons on phone are available and camera isn't covered. Doesn't attach to dash despite what Mobile fun say.

Well worth it
Well built does not shake , easy to fit to screen; and to fit phone. A very stable unit, it also starts the phones car pannel when power cable is inserted. Good price. Would recomened.

A bit expensive but it works!
This is a very good holder. The only complaint I have is the charge wire is straight rather than curly so creates a bit of a mess in the car as the lead is quite long. The quality is spot on and I like the fact the plastic used is smoked rather than a sold black so when the phone is not in the holder, it is not as oppressive looking on the windscreen.

Room for improvement
Negatives:
* Flimsy cradle which looks like it will break in no time
* Hard to screw the locking mechanism tight enough to lock cradle into desired viewing position
* Very hard to remove phone without knocking cradle out of position
* Neck is way too small - unless your dashboard is less than 6 inches deep you will be reaching over it to get to your PDA
Positives:
* Phone fits snugly and will not fall out
* Nice long charging cable for a change
* Tiny amount of plastic used is better for the environment!
HTC should stick to making great phones and let Brodit make the cradles!

Pretty good!
It's not the cheapest, but it seems to do the job. Sticks to glass like a limpet, even when the suction 'clip' is released. It's plastic, but the material seems good quality, and you can change the orientation of your screen easily with a lockable ball and socket. My only quibble is that the clip that holds on the phone seems like it could damage the phone over repeated uses. I've put some tape here because I'm a bit precious about my phone, but if it's a choice between a good grip or the phone flying around the footwell, then I know what I'd vote for. All in all I recommend this - and the cigarette lighter adapter with a handy little sucker on the cord that's included is a bonus.

Decent screen mount
The mount is not too big and is pretty flexible on the pivot. Charger included has plenty of cable length. The cable is a detachable USB so it can double as a spare pc cable.
The phone just clips into the mount which worried me at first in case it scratched the phone but no sign of any marks after extensive use so I am happy.
My dashboard mounting disc wasn't included which isn't good. Overall, I'm happy with the product.

Good tidy holder for the car
I do a bit of offroading and use the holder over some pretty rough lanes, previous satnav holders fall off including tomtom. This thing is well made and will not fall off. Worth the money.

Great piece of kit
The holder fixes nicely to your screen and holds the phone excellently, as you would expect from an official product.
The cable is really long so you can route it round the houses should you so wish and comes with a small sucker on it (although typically there are no surfaces other than the glass in my car it will stick to).
The cigarette lighter connector is a poor fit for me which is the only downside, It was tricky to get it to stay in position but I suppose this could be an issue with my car as another reviewer has said his fits well.
All in all, well worth the purchase and as the charge point connector is a separate unit to the cable it means I can swap it for another one which accepts a USB socket and fits better.
The cable is a special one which tells your Desire HD it is in a car dock and automagically starts the Car Panel app.

Amazing and easy
After waiting a while for this to arrive (not due to mobile fun, stock issues) im very pleased with how easy it is to set up this car kit. I was sent a free one from expansys (rubbish) after buying my Desire HD and its always better to buy something official then universal. And its designed for the DHD you cant go wrong. :)

Nice Piece of Kit
After waiting a few weeks for a restock - Mobilefun still had it 6 days before HTC's accesorries were due to stock - it arrived the day after dispatch. First rate service as usual.
The product is good quality as you'd expect from the original manufacturer and fits the DHD perfectly and, contrary to the right up, doesn't affect the power button at all - as it's designed for the HD. Mounting is good and solid and adjustment pretty much infinite thanks to the ball joint. Cable is good quality and long enough for pretty much any set-up. Comes with a small sucker attached to so you can keep the cable away from your gearstick or knee - nice touch.
Charger works fine and looks nice lit up.
Would recommend.
