PDair Leather Flip Case - HTC Desire HD

I previously bought a NoReve flip case for my phone. It was terrible - the two small pieces of plastic that held the phone in place and the flap quickly became very loose. My phone fell on to the floor a couple of times! So I went for the PDair. It is great in terms of holding the phone securely and protecting it. It also has three slim pockets on the flap for holding credit or cash cards or possibly sims. It looks and feels good - a nice, subtle but quality design. The one weakness is that there is no opening for the camera. It is, however, possible to fold back the flap far enough to take pictures. I expect this will cause extra cosmetic wear on the case, and it is a bit fiddly. But for the sake of keeping an expensive piece of hardware secure, that's a small failing.

Buyers beware! After 3 months of use, I removed the case and have noticed that it has left nasty scratches on the paintwork, either side of the screen on my HTC Desire HD. The scratches are midway up the phone, caused by the two struts that hold the phone very firmly in place. This is not due to a lack of cleaning or sand getting under the screen. My phone was in perfect condition beforehand. I am bitterly disappointed, with my phone looking tatty and worth a lot less should I want to sell it. It's ironic that a cover designed to protect should cause so much damage. I am now left with the choice of putting the case back on, to cover the nasty scratches or leaving my phone unprotected. If I put the case back on, I know further damage will be caused. I believe PDair should have conducted better testing before releasing this product for the Desire HD.

This mobile phone case fitted my husbands HTC desire perfectly. It was such a snug fit and protected the case all around. It was made of soft leather and was of excellent quality and made the phone very easy to flip open. It arrived very promptly and well packaged. We are very pleased with this purchase and would recommend using this company again.

Here is the good: Well made and gives excellent protection as the leather is thick and well sewn. Not so sure if the camera lens is protected so well, but the sheer thickness of the leather and joints may actually achieve that. Chunky if you like that sort of thing! And here is the bad(very): One major design fault - with the phone in the case you cannot access the notification bar to drag it down. You can just about see it, but cannot action it. This is a major fault. Yo drag it down you have to push the phone up a bit, drag the notification bar down, push the phone down again etc. One one occasion the SIM/SD card cover got caught as I pushed the phone up, and was left in the case! Not good. I have also found that the clip that allows you to take the phone off your belt to answer it is really stiff. Answering it takes a while - perhaps it might loosen up in time, but I am not sure, so I do not use it. A disappointing purchase in some respects. Sorry to say.

The case has allowed for extra protection for my HTC Desire HD, but there is restricted use of the camera as the case was not designed to cater for this use.

4th time on this site, as norm, this item was well made, does the job great, and a good price.

Very nice case indeed and great quality. Keeps the phone well protected and much better that others that claim to be REAL leather. This really is REAL leather.
