This case is excellent, I have it on my phone all the time, it has protected it from damage twice already, so I'm well pleased. The screen protector was not quite the right shape, so after I fitted it, the corners started to peel up, so I binned it off, meh. This case is all the protection my phone needs.

Otterbox for HTC Desire HD amazing

Hmmm?
Nice piece of kit. Sturdy silicone rubber inner with a hard plastic shell to hold it all in place. Fits like a glove. All the access points, buttons etc all work fine. It does make your phone rather bulky when fitted. However, at the first sign of trouble the hard shell broke. My phone was in my pocket and I sat down. The case cracked. It was all too easy. Whilst I appreciate it has protected my phone, I am disappointed that at £23 it is a once only protection device. I can see why some would rate it highly but I can only rate on my experience.

superb
I bought the otter box to protect my desire hd as I have it for 2 years, I must say its superb fully protecting the phone from most bumps it will go through in its life in my hands. Over all very happy just what I needed. The extra size it adds to the phone is worth the level of protection.

This case is very tough and looks good when protecting the phone, it isn't big and bulky, and feels comfortable to hold. The plastic on the back is slightly textured so its easy to grip, reducing the chances of it slipping out of the hand. The silicon is of course a dust and dirt magnet so it does need a regular wipe down to stay looking fresh.
The screen protector on the front is very tough and doesnt change the way the screen looks/handles, most people don't even realise there is a protector on it, although it fits quite well, its not quite long enough to cover the whole screen virtically, leaving a small 2mm gap either at the top or bottom depending on where you place it. The screen protector is quite hard to install perfectly, as they all are but its very well made and doesn't come unstuck like many competitors.
Would buy another Otterbox without a doubt, great product for the money.

Very good product the only thing I struggled with is the screen sticker air bubble in the corner but I cant wallpaper either apart from that the rest of the product is top notch.

Does What It Says On The Tin!
Case is a perfect fit - hardly looks like a case at all, but really protects the phone well. Screen protector is poor quality, however - hopefully Mobile Fun will supply a better one with this item in future (other reviewers seem to have had the same problem) - this is all that stops me awarding five stars.

Got what expected to get!
Does everything what's in description, my phone is safe now.
Would rate 5 stars, but rating just 4
0,5 star off - screen cover is useless, it's better to spend extra money and purchase a Screen Coverage for $14.99 + shipping from Zagg, invisible shield product line.
0,5 star off - silicone absorbs too much dust on it...
Otherwise, I'm happy with choice and reccomend it

Rugged, stylish, and durable case
When I first received the Desire HD I was baffled with the power under the hood, but was slightly concerned about it's durability. One hard drop and the screen would give way without too much opposition. The Otter box provides a slick, stylish solution that protects the phone well and doesn't make it too bulky. The molding is mm perfect, and the whole kit, including the protective film, was a breeze to fit. Worth every penny!

Picey but quality
If you've got a £20 phone, buy a £3 case, if you've got an expensive phone, treat it to an Otterbox.

Worth the price
Got it a week ago and its great. Thought the price was a bit steep but glad I went for it. Looks great on the desire hd. Screen protector was a pain and if you mess up the 1st time it wont work. Would be better if they sorted that problem out but the case itself is worth the money.

Great case with a slight problem
This is a great case, it looks good, offers great protection, doesn't add too much size to the phone and the screen protector is decent. However after about a month of use, I noticed that there is a slight fault with the design, the silicone strip on the front, bottom area gets easily caught on things as I pull the phone out of my pockets, and because the little silicone strip is not really being clamped down by the plastic outer case, like the rest of the silicone part of the case, this strip becomes stretched and never settles back down, resulting in a really annoying raised silicone strip which becomes very prone to getting tangled on things like keys.

superbbb. amazing
This is the best case i came across. Worth spending 25£ on as featherweight and super strong protection for free falls and everyday damage. Folks stop spending on cheap covers. This is worth it.

Phone cover good, screen protector not so good.
The cover is easy to put on and looks good. On/off switch and volume controls work very well and I like the idea that the sockets are covered when not in use. Despite following the instructions exactly to put the screen protector on the corners have not stuck down properly. This is a shame as it spoils the looks and dirt will no doubt get in.

very good indeed
To summarise:
The otterbox 'commuter' case has protected my phone exceptionally well, without increasing it's size overly much. After inspection following a couple of weeks use, it has caused no problems or scratches on the rear of the phone.
It does not impede phone signal, and if anything, has made the phone more tactile. Certainly less fragile.
The case is well shaped around the rear-facing components.
Ignore the screen protector, (you don't need one on a decent touch screen phone) unless you have a habit of keeping keys and phone in the same pocket.
I spent a week deciding on the most practical vs. stylish case and this was the result. Very, very good.

Awesome bit of kit!!
Well I’m very happy with this cover does everything you’d ever want. Very well made and will defiantly protect the phone. It also comes with a pretty good screen protector. It does add a bit of bulk to the phone but I don’t mind that if I’m honest. Great service.

the best protection for the Desire HD
Mobile fun, as usual, was extremely quick with delivery. The otterbox for the desire hd is simply amazing. Doesn't add bulk and construction is of top quality. Rating: 8/10, 2 points lost because 1: the rubber part of the case sticks to dust too much, and 2: hides the sexiness of the desire hd

Otterbox, exactly what i have been looking for, especially as it is pronounced around the camera lense , so i don't have to worry when i put it down and that it will scratch the lense.

Case Superb, screen cover not so...
The case is most excellent, the screen cover though could have been supplied with a couple of spares as I ruined mine putting it on. I'd gladly pay an extra £1-2 to get the spares included as I am a bit of a klutz. Thankfully though the case will protect the phone from my general mishaps. It's very well made.

Not a bad cover, fits phone very well with good protection and doesn't make it to big, is a little on the expensive side than others out there but on the hole very happy with the product.

Brilliant and service was great
The HTC desire HD cover fits perfectly. It feels really sturdy and you can access all of the buttons no problem. The only downside is that there is a sticker on the screen cover that is almost impossible to remove. Also be careful when you stick it on the screen - too much pressure on the screen and you can damage it.

A good case that protects without being too bulky.
After much research on the best case for my new HTC Desire HD,I opted for the OtterBox case. I found it stressful putting on the clear screen protector as you only get one chance of getting it right with only one enclosed.I did get what looks like a tiny bubble and it would not go, so I now have to put up with that. However, once on and the rest of the case fitted I am pleased. It is protected without being too bulky. But the product is expensive.

Nearly perfect.
A lovely matt polycarbonate case with an internal silicone sleeve it looks and feels great. Lifts the camera lens about 3mm off the surface when you put it down and has a nice feeling of solidity vs. a gel-only case. Why only 4 stars? it is in the nature of screen protectors to be hard to install and this was no exception. The graphical instructions weren't the clearest and I had a couple of specks trapped under it within seconds so it had to come off and be thrown away.

Ok but not the Defender
This item is generally fine but I was disappointed that the plastic outer shell was quite so smooth and has minimal grip.
It's a large handset as it is, and the shell could do with a rubberised/textured part on the back to help prevent it slipping out of your hand.
A very good fit overall, although the silicon inner sleeve could have slightly wider edges to surround the screen better, it lifts fairly easily especially at the bottom where it is cut to accommodate the charger/headphone port.
Kinda wish I'd gone for the Defender series but I would likely have ended up with a mammoth handset.
Having baulked somewhat at £25 for the Commuter series for ostensibly two pieces of plastic/silicone made in China which are surely not anywhere near that expensive to produce, the extra tenner for Defender was a bit hard to swallow.
No mishaps thus far tho, I mainly just wish it had a bit more grip on the outer shell!

great case
Really happy with this case a great buy and fully recommend this for any HTC desire hd owner. It's not that bulky and my only problem was with the screen shield which is really down to my poor skills at placing it! great overall service provided by mobile fun and it arrived fairly quick especially with it being Christmas at the time.

Really nice fit; doesn't cover any of the camera. Power button slightly harder to press but seems as though it would give excellent protection if dropped etc. Also includes a couple of screen protectors which I wish i'd tried first before ordering the martin fields one.

Rugged case and just what I wanted
I had never heard of this brand before but took a chance after seeing good reviews, and I'm glad I did. The case is great and the two skins have different textures to give a nice feel, and the slight added weight makes the phone seem more solid. This was the first time I used a screen protector so I didn't get a perfect fit, but I emailed Otterbox and they are going to send some new ones. Good service, too.

Excellent case - not too obtrusive or bulky but makes the phone feel very safe and secure. Only downside is that you have to remove the case to use the phone in a cradle. Still, this is not too problematic - the case seems like it will outlive the phone.

Great case
I love this case! It's a lot pricier than the ones I normally buy but it's great. I don't think the silicone primary layer could be used alone, it's a little loose, but with the hard plastic shell over the top it protects my Desire HD VERY well. It leaves nice thick rubber corners and the back of the outer shell is a little distance from the back of the phone ie. if you push the back of the case with phone inside it gives a little. I think this gives it even more protective functionality. What more can I say? If you have a desire HD and want it really well protected, in a stylish looking case and don't mind your phone being a little bit bigger (!) then get one now, you won't be disappointed. (I would have given it 5 stars if it was cheaper. It's silicone and plastic, not very expensive, and I'm sure very little of the price I paid trickles down to the chinese kids who probably made it!) Happy New Year.

Perfect
Having just got the HTC Desire HD phone I wanted a case that would protect it and keep it looking good. I bought this case from Mobile Fun and it is perfect for the job - it was easy to fit, looks good and does what it is supposed to do. Quite expensive case but worth it for a very expensive phone. Mobile Fun also very good - fast and easy to deal with.

Easy to fit
Bought this to ensure my phone was protected from any knocks. Was very easy to fit, took about 5 mins to fit the silicone cover and hard outer shell.
Screen protector takes a little bit of fiddling to get it bubble free but once you have managed it it is virtually invisible.
Definitely recommend this product for anyone with a Desire HD

A product of exceptional quality.
For my HTC Desire HD I didn't just want an ordinary gel case which was common with most other brands and this was it! Comes with a hard plastic back which fits snug behind the gel for extra protection and somehow still manages to stay fairly slim, all the phones external connections are covered by rubber tabs preventing dust from entering, my only gripe was with the rather standard screen protector which scatches very easily. All in all, a first class product minus the screen protector.

You get what you pay for
£23 for a case, I have high expectations and I have to say this case did not disappoint. I was looking for a case that gives my DHD all round protection, looks good, and do not add significantly to its already big frame. The OtterBox case ticks them all.
The inner silicon case alone gives complete protection, all round to the front metal sides surrounding the screen. No worries there about putting your phone face down. Protrusions where the volume and power buttons are, yet I don't have any difficulties accessing them through the case. A flap at the bottom covers the headphone jack and the micro-usb port, with a hole cut out for the mic.
The polycarbonate outer shell that fits on top of the silicon case just completes the whole thing. It clips onto the sides, with holes cut out for the buttons and flap, through which the protrusions in the silicon case fit through. This really gives the case a firm, solid feel to it, ensuring the phone is held securely in place.
All in all, a five star case.

A quality case
Excellent, sturdy case. Nice and solid but not bulky. The only downside is the quality of the screen protector which is not the best. That aside the Commuter is by far the best case I have had and well worth the money.

Expensive foe what it is, but a very good case
The good:
Small increase to profile despite the 2 layers.
Provides extra depth for the camera so you can lay the phone down on a surface without fear of scratching the lens.
The hard plastic body gives a better grip on the phone ( not as much as 100% silicone cases)
I always find silicone cases a pain as they stick in your pocket, this case is much easier to remove from a tight pocket or bag.
All buttons ports accessible, with a well designed silicone lip for the usb/headphone.
Good fitting case that is easy to remove and leaves no marks or scratches to the phone
Comes with a screen protector.
The bad.
Expensive. I have not tried any other cases as so far they are either too bulky or %100 silcone, but this is at least 4 times more than an average fleaybay case.
The case only provides protection to the sides and back, drop it on the screen and its all over.
The power and volume button are underneath 2-3 mm of silicone requiring a much harder press to activate. Pressing the power button ( which some people find a problem currently) quickly becomes even more of a chore.
Overall this is the best case for my needs but I'm deducting a star as the price seems excessive.

Hotter box!
Took a bit of a risk on this one as I'm really not keen on bulky cases, however the quality of it and the functionality and styling more than make up for it. And most importantly I am now confident to take my shiny new phone out of my pocket!!!
