Good for its price
This desk stand does everything it's supposed to and is a good price too. The only minor issue is that the top clip almost covers the "wake/sleep" button on my desire.

Desire stand
This is top quality, the phone slides in perfect but the top piece blocks use of the earphones but you don't need it in the phone is secure. The stand allsso rotates both way's and the stand hold firm, this is the best holder I have used on a mobile 9/10 Get one!!

Nexus/Desire stand
Holds the phone at the perfect angle to view films or video podcasts. Nice heavy solid design. Sometime hard to get head phone or portable speakers cables into the phone unless you have a small plug. Other than that well worth the cash.

Nearly, but not quite!
This has the potential to be a really great desktop stand, yet misses the mark slightly. It's was probably designed for the iPhone, but the fit is pretty good for the Desire and feels sturdy. However, the supporting clip that holds the top of the phone in the stand is too wide! This means access to the headphone socket is tight / blocked (I can't actually get my headphones in), and also the power button is slightly covered making it awkward to 'wake' the phone. It's a shame, as the clip is changeable, and a thinner one would fix all the problems.
It's possible to use the phone in portrait without the top clip, but this causes the phone to rattle a bit and I would not recommend it!
I considered sending the stand back, but despite it's flaws, it holds the phone securely and allows the phone to work in portrait or landscape mode. I use the stand at work to keep the phone tidy and stop me chucking things on top of it and don't need to use my headphones as I can plug them into my PC at my desk. It works well when charging, although you'll need your normal charger / USB cable.
As I said at the top, nearly, but not quite!
