Dash Genie v2
Useless
This is a complete waste of money, fitted to windscreen & my Iphobe 4 , despite pushing phone hard to " sticky" surface , fell off 5 times on journey from Worthing to Guildford & back again, phone drops off & flies around car, easily damaging phone - lucky I got away with it.
Dont't buy it !

Dash Genie In Car Holder v2
Does what is says in the ad
Only had holder a couple of weeks, but up to now does as advertised. Attached to a dimpled dash top in a VW EOS and has stuck firmly ever since.
It has held a Sony Xperia S OK on normal roads - haven't tried ay challenging surfaces. Even holds phone in a carbon fibre lookalike case for short journeys.
Does vibrate slightly, but it is a heavy device.

Just the job
I bought this to replace a windscreen attached holder which following a change of phone was rather awkward to use and vibrated a lot. Despite all the positive reviews I was a little sceptical that it would work very well in my Punto Evo, dimpled dash and charger socket under tension.
Well I needn't have worried about it fitting on the dash, it's secure and vibration free. However the charger lead I had been using placed just enough tension,at the right angle, on the socket on the phone to peel it away from the pad after a couple of minutes. But a change of lead to utilise the USB supply socket in the centre console did the trick and the phone has stayed stuck when used ever since.
Also tends to stick better since I fitted a Gel Case to the phone, the back is now totally smooth.

Very impressive!
I have bought and tried several different phone holders ith varying success, but this one beats them all hands down!I should say it works best when upright (landscape) rather than sideways (hrizontal), as the phone doesn'tmove in this position, but has fallen off once or twice the other way round, but it stills holds the phone incredibly well without clutter or other clamp parts getting in the way. I would highly recommend this!

Dash Genie in Car v2
Perfect for my mobile
Amazing price for this mobile phone holder. It took me a few seconds to place it in my car and holds my HTC Desire well. I need to wash the sticky plate twice a week to keep its stickyness but as I only need a damp cloth and it just takes seconds I am happy to do this as it has saved me £40 pounds from the other mobile phone holder I considered. When the stickyness starts to go, I place my phone landscape and it has always held it in place until I have finished my journey. Amazing product for the price you pay.

Dash Genie in Car Holder v2
Does what it says on the box
I have been looking for a mobile phone holder that stays stuck on to the car dashboard for years. Usually great claims are made about such items, but sadly I have found them all lacking, until now. Having read about the Dash Genie in a car magazine, where it was rated highly, I decided to buy one. It was relatively inexpensive, compared to some I have bought, and has stayed stuck to the dashboard as promised. It holds my HTC smartphone securely, with little vibration and I can use all the buttons on the side side of the phone as it is held by a sticky pad, rather than being clamped. There is no residue from the sticky pad. It is the best holder I have ever owned and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a secure and convenient in-car phone holder.

Dash Genie in car car holder v2.
Does what it says in the ad.
I read about this in Auto Express, where it was judged to be the best mobile 'phone holder for in car use.
I ordered it online, and it was here next day. It holds my HTC 'phone, upright or horizontal, exactly as and where I want. I can use Torque app, which shows all my car's readings, and it acts like an extra set of car instruements. Brilliant, on merit you should sell thousands.

Not quite as good as I'd hoped
A bit disappointed really. Doesn't stick to upper part of Laguna III textured dash. Ball joint doesn't lock very well and the support bracket is not very rigid. My 5 inch screen sat nav wobbles about making using the touch screen difficult.
Having said that it looks neat and once stuck hasn't fallen off. OK for phones but not really suitable for larger sat navs IMO.

Did exactly what it said it would
This was well worth the money spent. It is by far the best phone holder I have purchased. It did stick to the dashboard, unlike other phone holders. The sticky pad does keep the phone stable, but it will not work if the phone is in a case. That, however, is a small price to pay.
I would heartily recommend this item.

very useful
I am disabled and can only use my right hand, therefore found it awkward to juggle between phone, driving controls and sat-nav remote at the same time. The dash genie was ideael as I can stick my phone and sat-nav remote to the windscreen within easy reach and concentrate on driving. I found, however, that the dash genie did not stick to the dimpled surface of the dashboard of my Renault Clio but worked well on the glass of the windscreen.

Amazing kit
Having attempted to dislodge both the holder and my phone from their respective mounted positions in my car, (I navigate 14 cattle grids to and from work each day), I have now given up!
The holder itself has, I assume, the same adhesive as the red dot intended for the phone, supplemented by an additional locking system. This makes it stick to everything with a flat-ish surface in my car and I have plumped for my sloping, (mottled), dash, so that I can access the charging port on my phone without wires hanging from the windshield.
The cradle accommodates my Samsung Galaxy Nexus with ease and, even though I have a silicon sleeve on the phone, anchors it to the cradle with no chance of it coming loose without some serious pressure. The oddest thing is the absence of sticky residue on the back of my phone when taken off the cradle.
When not in use, I use the plastic disc it packaged with to cover the red dot – preventing dust accumulation.
Full marks, although I wish the boon had been slightly longer. If windscreen mounted, my screen’s angle prevents the large Nexus phone from being used in portrait mode.

Very good
I was a little doubtful about this but it fixes well to the dash and holds the phone well too. You just need to be careful if you move the position of your phone whilst in the holder as it can loosen the vacuum and cause the holder to be less tight but otherwise it's really good for then price and I am very happy. Oh and it does lose its stickiness but a quick moisten and alls well again.

Good for the money
Mostly pleased. It sticks well to pimpled dashboards and windows and the phone sticks and stays stuck in the portrait position but drops off after a while in landscape due to no supports underneath when rotated like that. Summary - fine as a phone holder but not really very good for sat nav use really....

Far too happy with this purchase given what it is!
This is really quite nifty. Whoever thought you could be so pleased with a mundane object like a car dock!
it sits on my dimpled dashboard, it's small and discreet and it's relatively cheap plus it holds everything in place quite strongly. I'm not a rate everything i'm happy with 5* person but I think this is pretty nifty and deserves a 5 because I really can't see what could be improved!
fits a galaxy nexus quite snugly.

Dash genie v2
First class product....Never moved once on first 19 mile trip mounted on the dash. Only problem might be if the phone is shorter than 110mm in length which creates a small gap allowing slight amount of twist on the phone.(having said that it never dropped off)
Maybe an adjustable leg on one side might be a good addition on future versions so making the phone more stable when in horizontal display position.

Unimpressive
Only used it three times as it doesn't inspire confidence that it has my device. The sticky pad is too thick causing the phone to sit proud of the holder. As a result the phone moves and wobbles.
The suction holder is too short to hold the Nokia Lumia 800 on the windscreen as it the top of the phone touches the glass. The suction efficiency is good on glass but poor on smooth or dimpled plastic and it comes loose and unstuck within a few hours.
Found the product disappointing and orchestrated in a sloppy fashion.

Made my wish come true!
I'm not saying I believe in magic and fairies and the like, but if I did somewhere at the bottom of a garden someone came up with something truly magical with this holder. It sticks to my dashboard, it sticks to my phone, it even sticks in the position I put it in (I mean it doesn't give up the ghost and fall sideways when the phone is attached as others I've had in the past). Not only that, but it also holds the phone still, there is no annoying vibration shake I've had in the past so I can actually see what's on the screen, something I find quite handy when using the Sat Nav on my phone!
The service from the elves at Mobile Fun was great, fabulous communication throughout, easy to use website and fast delivery at the busiest time of year!
I would highly recommend this product to all my friends and family, and I would equally highly recommend Mobile Fun.
Thanks to all the elves!

Most stable yet!
Saw one of these in a friends car and bought total 3, 1 for each vehicle. Best thing is that it is able to stick to a normal dashboard rather than trying to find a place on the windscreen. Even dimpled dash or mobile phone case is no problem. I've had many before ranging from £5-£40, this is the most stable by far.

After trying it in several different places on the dash of my '06 Megane, it seems to stick OK however it won't keep hold of my SGS2, I dunno if the phones to heavy but even after wetting the sticky red pad it still won't hold for more than 10 mins without it falling off the holder. A wonderful Product...
The Dash Genie In Car Holder is a fantastic product at a very reasonable price and does exactly as it says on the packaging.
It is a flexible phone holder, that will support almost any mobile phone securely in the car and can be mounted on the dashboard or the window.
The semi-sticky pads help with the mounting as well as securing the phone to the mount.
It is an excellent product - and well worth the money.

Slippery Stuff
This is a brilliant looking gadget and a great idea for those of us who like to use the superior qualities of a smartphone GPS system over a standalone SatNav.
However, I have an HTC Wildfire S, which has its socket precisely where ALL bracket style holders have their bracket - that's the reason I bought the Dash Genie.
My HTC is very pretty, sleek and fabulous, with a beautiful white back panel which is sticky blob resistant. On a non-stick rating of 1-10 it turns out to be two steps up the ladder from Teflon. It sticks on alright, but the slightest pressure from (say, in my case) the springy power cable, makes it slowly turn and fall off.
A great pity, as so far HTC don't seem to be marketing a compatible cradle and this looked like the only way. Maybe I'll experiment with elastic bands, though it would rather spoil both the gizmo point and the aesthetic.
Great concept guys, but (as I think you warn in your blurb) for some smoothie phones it won't work. Three stars just for the concept!

Excellent depending on your device
This is a very clever device holder using a sticky circle in the middle of the holder to firmly hold the device. Don't know what the material is but it holds firm, leaves no residue and is easy to detach the device from. The only problem is the weight of my phone. I have an htc sensation which is a fairly heavy phone inside of a case. Without the case the phone holds fine and other phones inside cases seem to hold fine. Unfortunately the combined weight of my phone and case is a little too much for this holder and it does not stick firmly enough when driving (perhaps it's my driving!). Anyway, to help you decide whether to get this - it does exactly what it says. If you plan to keep your phone in a case consider the weight of it but otherwise - great concept and product.

I having been looking for a suitable holder for my mobile so that I can use it for gps and press the odd button. Hold the phone!
I read a lot of reviews regarding the Dash Genie before I went ahead and made a purchase, which was something I did driven a lot by the good price of it.
I wonder whether some people have read the instructions for attaching it properly, though it is quite easy to install, as I cannot fault it at all. Mine is locked on to my 02 reg Mondeo dash and has been solidly fixed there since I first positioned it. It carries my HTC Sensation very well in both landscape and portrait positions with the charger plugged into the cigar lighter, and the phone is in a case as well. In a nutshell - It's the badgers nadgers!

Almost there!
It stuck to my dashboard okay at first but in the heat of the day it did fall off. I reset it and it has remained in place ever since. It is small and doesn't get in the way - unlike my old windscreen phone holder. The one downside side is the sticky disc that holds the phone in place. This is also affected by heat and my phone fell off a couple of times as I was driving. If the phone was squeezed very hard onto it it did remain in place but doing that every time is not always convenient. I had to tilt the holder back slightly to keep the phone in the holder.

Having watched the video and looked at the ability of this holder I must say I was gutted at how crap it was......

For the cost it was crap.
Yes the phone sticks to the holder, just wish the hold would stick to the dash.......

Very happy with my purchase!
Never bothered with a car mount before this one as I've never found use for it but this was a bargain and I figured it was worth a shot for ease of accessing music on my iPhone 4.
Decided the best place for it on my little Yaris was the small window section in front of the main drivers-side window. I stuck it to the glass and clamped it down but then realised I'd put it upside down. Then I worried about it being stuck as other reviewers had mentioned. Un-clipped it and removed easy, then re-attached and was just as stuck on as the first time.
iPhone 4 sticks to the red holder pad perfectly well as long as your phone doesn't have greasy fingerprints all over it.
My iPhone now sits within easy reach and view just to the outside of the dash and even holds fast when the door is opened and closed. Very happy with my purchase!
The only think I need now is a longer audio cable to plug into the aux of the car.

Be careful, it might damage your dashboard !
It worked "OK" in the beginning but after a while suction does not really do the trick (even after cleaning).
But the WORST part is that it damaged my dashboard, there is a permanent circle that I just can not remove. Thankfully I will soon scrap the car so it is not major. But if this would be my new/next car and this happened I would be EXTREMELY mad.
Just a word of caution, use it to set on the window, NOT on the dashboard.
BTW, if you seat it on the window you can not keep the HTC or iPhone upright, the arm is not long enough to extend out from the glass.
Thus, this is a warning....
Think before buying, but especially before using it in your car.

not what I was hoping for !
Well you asked me to be honest about this product and I will be .!! Looking at this phone holder and having read both good and bad reviews I thought I would purchase not one but two as most reviews were good but oh dear Im afraid I have to agree with the bad reviews as they said that it failed to stick on the dash and left round marks which I too have found! I have a picasso and my dash is as flat as you can get and when I first put it on I was pleased and it all seemed fine ,but when I got in the car the next morning I put the phone on the holder and the whole lot fell off and chipped my phone , also as other reviews have said it DID leave a round ring which I cant get off .I bought one for my wifes car (vauxhall frontera) and yes you have guessed it same thing all over again, so have to say very disappointed ,but some people have not had these problems (lucky them). OK not one to be beaten or waste £35.00 thought how can I cure this and am pleased to say I have done just that by getting a piece of clear perspexs cutting it slightly bigger then bought myself some HEAVY DUTY double sided tape and cut it to size and stick it on the perspex first then take backing off carefully and put it on the dash in the place that you wont the phoneto be !Problem solved

Great promise - poor performance
I purchased 2 Dash Genies a few weeks ago - 1 for me and 1 for my husband. Mine fell off after sticking on very well for a few days, leaving an unremovable mark on the dashboard of my brand new car. I tried it on the windscreen but it fell off leaving a sticky residue on the glass.
My husband's dash genie fell off a few days later.
Looked great on the advert, didn't deliver on the promise.

Not good!!! And definitely not happy!!
What can I say about this product. Nothing positive that's for sure! When it arrived it looked like a decent piece of kit but as soon as I got it out of the pack it was obvious it wasn't going to work. The unique sticky pad they mention will NOT hold an I phone 4.. It will NOT stick to any dashboard it has to be smooth and flat not textured at all. And if you have to stick or in your windscreen, which kind of goes against the whole dash part, then it won't hold the I phone 4 and it won't work without your phone hitting the windscreen. In a shirt sentence absolutely useless and a waste of time.. Don't bother!!

Innovative solution to multi-use cradle problem
This cradle was recommended to me and I am not disappointed. It is used for all our phones/Ipods and sticks to the slightly curved and textured dash just fine. Looking at some of the poorer reviews, I'm not sure if there's a quality issue that explains some of the problems. Also, I clean my dash with a damp cloth and detergent - I don't use Dashboard Shine or other such polishes.

Mixed. Can be great in the right place, but it's p
I got this for my iPhone 4 to go in my Ford Focus Mk 1.
Clearly drilled is the best option, but I don't fancy lowering the resale value of my car - and wanted something neater than a window-suckered mount.
First, this NEEDS a flat surface. The first piece of dash planned, which has a very slight curve it would not stay stuck to.
Also, a complete design flaw is that you can NOT use this with an iPhone 4 on a windscreen, as the mount itself is simply too short and the iPhone ends up meeting the windscreen at the top first.
I moved it the centre-left/rear of my dash, which is a little far away but non-obstructive and it sticks great - hasn't moved in two weeks.
I certainly wouldn't trust this in landscape mode, no way, but for a portrait phone-holder mounted at the top of my dash, it does a great job.

Not too happy.
Product would not stick to dash, although advertised that it would, I now have it on the windscreen but thats not where I wanted it. I have the offer to have it replaced on the basis that it is faulty but looking at the design I do not think so. No way will it stick to any dash surface and the process of sending it back is tedious to say the least. it is a good looking funky unit so I will make do.

only for lightweight phones
Having purchased a dash genie a while ago it sat on my dash with my nokia phone quite well except rhe adhesive pad began to disintegrate. I returned it under warranty and it was rplaced with a newer version. I have now moved on to a blackberry in the last few days and the unit does not support the phone and the suction pad is not enough to take the weight. I have passed the unit on to my daughter for her to put her iphone on in her car but she is telling me that it does not take the size and weight. Disappointed would be the word as it promised so much.

Not quite right
Well this thing does seem to be quite happy to stick to my windscreen and some bits of the dashboard (but not anywhere with any sort of curve to it, even gentle ones), however it just won't stick to the back of my iPhone 4.
Tried cleaning the phone and the sticky pad with no change in the holders ability to do it's job so ended up securing the phone in place with an elastic band. So it kind of works but is a bit of a pain to use with the elastic band.
Also if you stick this to your dash you'll probably find that it isn't possible to get the iPhone charger into the phone as the whole thing sits too low down.
Generally could try harder.

Got the email, saw the video & thought just the job. Even though it said "dimples on dashboard, no problem", the Genie wouldn't stick, same on the windscreen it fell off after 10 minutes. I was going to return it but I've found a use for it in the house. Maybe it's me or my cars dash & windscreen, but it's been a disappointing purchase.

A must have
This is a great little gadget. My Backberry torch fits nicely on to the holder and stays there. I can't think of any phone that would not stick to it and stay there. The sucket pad does stick to any surface as stated. I could not work out how it would fit to the window whilst getting the correct angle so you could still see the phone. The slope of the window seemed to step. I drive a Tiguan.
It is the best car phone holder I have had. I know if I get a new phone I can still use the same holder.

Still looking for the perfect phone holder!!!
Not as good as i expect but it does work!
Ive had it for a week and the sticky patch does work even with my silicon case on the iphone 4, the thing thats letting it down at the moment is the cradel itsself, when you find the perfect position for it upright and you go to turn it side ways on the cradel it puts it at an angle which isnt user freindly.... not good for those of us using sat-nav apps
Other than that poss one of the best ive found thus far!

Very neat but not so good for a Mini!
The Dash Genie holds my phone (T- -Mobile MDA Compact V) very securely. It's well made and compact. The only problem is that it won't stick to the dashboard on my Mini! I've had to stick it to the big speedo in the middle. There's a digital speedo behind the steering wheel anyway, the big one is just for show to look like a proper mini!

Just ordered a second one of these little gems. as long as you keep both surfaces clean and free from dust by wiping with a wet cloth and water they continue to hold any mobile phone , music player etc that you stick to them. No marks left on the phone either. will stick anywhere on the dash you put them. One little tip, in very hot weather check the Genie is well on the dash stuck before attaching your phone.

So near yet so far!
Fits to a dimpled dashboard great and my phone (HTC TouchPro2) stuck to the holder fine. The problems begin if the journey gets a bit bumpy or you turn the car i.e. going around roundabouts when the phone fell off into the footwell. May just be a problem with my phone but if the holder itself had better grip then this would be a perfect accessory.

Idea for latest Astra dash
Perfect holder for new shape Astra dash which has virtually no flat areas! I have a Bluetooth mobile kit but wanted to see the display when in use and this product has proved perfect for that task. Blackberry sits perfectly in the holder and has not moved or come out during many journeys and hundreds of miles. Only minor issue with Blackberry is the flimsy light phone back that will come off and stay on the holder if you pull it away sharply - this is no fault of the holder and purely a Blackberry 'feature'. Overall very satisfied for the price.

So far so good
I've only had this item a week or so, but am very impressed so far. I have used it in 3 different cars, on both smooth and lightly dimpled surfaces and it has stayed attached on both. My phone has a case on which gives it a smooth, flat rear surface, and this has never become detached from the holder, but is still easy to remove when you need to. I have found the easiest way is to use a "peeling" action, which seems to release the phone with very little effort. So far, I have not had to clean either sticky surface, so I can't comment on how easy or effective this is. Overall - very pleased, very impressed and would thoroughly recommend.

Simple and effective, but could have been better
So the curved back of my desire HD doesn't lend itself to good contact with the sticky pad on this stand but none the less it holds it sufficiently.
However it doesn't take much to pull the phone free from the stand so I can't help feel that it could and probably will come loose at some point. If the pad were little larger it would be a different story so why don't the manufacturers play it safe and implement this simple fix?
Anyway it's been all good sor far and it's simple design is just what I was looking for.

Almost - but not quite!
Sorry to say, but much as I wanted this little gadget to be a raging success and deliver all that was promised, I'm afraid that it is only partially successful for me.
In the last month, my mobile phone has fallen from the holder at least five times, usually following a bump in the road, or pothole. It is neat a small, but I have now learned to lie my phone almost on its back to try to ensure its stability, and that is not what I wanted. I wanted something slim and to be virtually perpendicular when mounted, but if I do that, my phone falls out. Pity.

grippy and sticky. nice.
I have found Dash Genie to be really very good.
It has never once let go of my iphone 4, which I attach in the portrait position - the sticky pad is quite amazing, it gives the impression of not having a great grip of the phone, but never lets go, and takes little effort to pluck the phone off the holder.
I have the Dash Genie attached to my dash rather than windscreen and it works very well. It seems well attached and vVery little vibration is transmitted to the phone so I can see the sat nav screen quite easily.
It does an excellent job for a great price. With this plus the free Skobbler sat nav app, and a cheap fag-lighter charger, I have a great value sat nav for not much cash.

Used with a Sony Ericsson X10 Mini Pro when using as a GPS - phone appears a bit small for the stand but it is ok. Used only 3 times, but once on a very, very bumpy fen track - phone dislodged but after leaning the stand back a little more it then remained in situ.
Fixes well on bumpy surface of dash so that it takes minor eye time from the road.

Not quite the holy grail
I am using this with my Samsung Omnia 7 smart phone.
I love how I can attach it to my dashboard or window but I have experienced my phone falling off when used in landscape orientation. I also have to remove the silicone case from my phone as it won't stick otherwise (I did know this before purchasing). The little foot at the bottom of the stand blocks the Omnia's microphone but I could still have a conversation if I spoke up! I also dislike the 80s red dot and the way it resembles the Star Trek emblem. I would prefer it to be rectangular with a wider or more spread out sticky area. If I try to use the phone while connected, tapping the top of the screen can knock it loose.

Totally useless!
If you own an iPhone 4, and drive for longer than 5 minutes at speeds over and above those your grandmother would do, then don't bother! :)
In a 1 hour journey, the iPhone fell off half a dozen times, no matter how hard I pushed it on. A combination of the slippy glass on the phone and a few roundabouts taken at average speed was too much for the sticky red dot to handle.

Arrived promtly as usual from MF.
However, it will not stick on the textured slopping surface of my g/fs car. Have cleaned the surface properly and it will not hold in place for more than a few seconds.
The sticky bit that holds the phone is good. Phone sticks to it solidly and does not leave any residue on the back of the phone.
Overall I am sure a great product for those with a nice flat, smooth, horizontal surface to attach to.

Not that great
After reading numerous reviews I was expecting something pretty special.
The mounting system on V2 is pretty good but the "Sticky" pad which you attach your phone to leaves alot to be desired.
I've pushed the clean back of the phone onto the clean sticky pad with such pressure I was worried about cracking the phone, When I let go it appeared to stick but with a very light movement the phone fell off.
This happened with a HTC Desire, Sony Erricson K80I, HTC Magic and Nokia N95.
Mount any of these sidways and even under slight braking it falls off.
Not impressed, Maybe I've got a duff one?

"Quality design"
Slim, easy to use holder. Quick easy to fix to the car fascia and it stays secure. The adhesive method of securing your mobile is very good and the whole thing is very onobtrusive. Great design I love it.
Sorry to say one minor problem. I use a HTC Desire HD and the adhesive pad will not hold onto it landscape mode. I suppose I can live with it bur Google maps is better in landscape

Superb Item - Works as Advertised!
A rare day to find something that actually lives up to its blurb...I have gone through a couple of windscreen type holders with total disappointment. I was about to give up when came accross this - looked like it may solve the problem and the reviews were good...I recieved the item and all looked good - the soft, sticky suction cup at the base gripped my dashboard (which is textured) so hard I cannot pull it off without risking damage! So far so good...The phone is held in place by a sticky pad and I was dubious that this would hold on over the bumpy roads we have here, no need to worry though - the phone is held firmly in place never looking like it will come loose - I have a spiral charger connected which pulls slightly but this is easily resisted. I have been using for a couple of weeks now and all is still perfect - I also found that I could position the phone in a more comfortable place than with a windscreen type mount. All in all it does what it is intended to do, a better option than the windscreen units (for my preference anyway) and is built well. Worth the money.

WelNot ideal for heavier smart phones
Well it did not do what the video promised. Using a Galaxy s and a HTC Wildfire. Both phones are a bit to heavy to stay attached. The htc fell off when used by my wife and the Galaxy when I tested the sticky pad over a soft chair kept falling off too.
In short to risky to risk hundreds of pounds worth of phone and cracked screens. Shame as the concept its good.

Actually AMAZING !
I've tried at least 6 different mobile phone cradles for my Toshiba TG01, without any of them being 100% suitable. The problem being is that the TG01 is a BIG phone but the speaker is in the rear at the bottom, so when in a conventional cradle mount the speaker is blocked virtually muting the speaker! After watching the video for the Dash Genie In Car Holder v2 I purchased one. It is amazing. Not only does it install easy and hold the phone securely, it does not block the speaker either in vertical or horizontal mode. Worth twice the price and that's from a skinfint.

Flawed phone mount - phone fell off
Dash Genie In Car Holder v2
Seemed like a great idea.
Sticks to the windscreen perfectly (I think).
But I stuck my Nokia 5800 to the pad and very soon after that, as I was driving, the phone fell off. It seemed firm enough when I attached it. Presumably a sharp bump has the same effect as pulling sharply on the phone in order to remove it deliberately.
Luckily phone was undamaged.
I'm disinclined to try it again!
Pity there is not a holder with similar windscreen sucker and a conventional phone mount.

Excellent bit of kit
I have tried various types of phone holder over the years, and they have all been fiddly to attach, and invariably always fall onto the floor when the road gets bumpy. Easy to stick to the dash ( in my case ), the phone sticks like glue to the holder and has never let down. An excellent bit of kit, especially the price!

Absolutely brilliant
I was sceptical about this product but it came as a freebie when I ordered the desk Genie.
What can I say. It is fantastic. The best car phone holder I have ever tried.
Sticks very well to the dashboard but is easily repositioned.
My only critism, which could also be considered a positive comment in a way is that the phone sticks to it so well, it is hard to remove and you end up having to re-adjust the holder each time. It concerns me that this could weaken it after a while. It is not made of the most robust plastic I've come across.

Not quite as good as it seemed
Don't get me wrong it is a good product, but don't expect this holder to keep your phone secure for a long journey.
If you want your phone to stay on, then you need to angle the holder at about 45 degrees so that it doent fall off.

Dash Genie
Having seen the video on your website I was very impressed. This is a neat alternative to traditional phone holders and it sticks to my dash like a limpet.
I have a gripe however: it will not hold my Desire HD in landscape mode at all, which is a shame as the nav on this phone is not bad. It's not the end of the world, as the nav is still useable in portrait, though it was nearly the end of my phone, as it fell off about 5 times before I finally gave up.
This is definitely a good alternative to bulkier and messier phone holders, though I have found myself reverting to one of these more than I have been using the genie.

I am reasonably pleased with this product.
I have noticed that when I use it to hold my mobile phone, when using it as a sat nav, it sometimes comes adrift. However, It is very cold at present and this may be what is affecting the 'stickyness' of the pad. It does appear to stick to the Dashboard well.

I had to buy another!
I bought my first Dash Genie for use in my lorry as I wanted my phone within easy reach (i.e. on the dash, not the windscreen). Have you ever seen a lorry bouncing along our impeccable roads? The Genie stays on (a textured dash). The phone stays on. Perfect!
Several months later I bought a VW Touran - the windscreen was even more of a stretch. Another Genie on order. Handles the weight of a Garmin 1310 - it's never fallen off. All it needs is an occasional wipe with a damp cloth to restore the stickiness of the pad.

Phone holder holds phones!
The Dash Genie In Car Holder (v2) does just what it name suggests. It holds a phone on your dash!
I don't know how the non-sticky red gripping part works, but it holds the phone perfectly, leaves no marks and yet survives my off-road driving without the phone falling off. The suction cup to the dash works better still too. I could put the phone where I wanted it, safely.
Excellent price, a product that is simple and works. Just what I'd expect from Mobile Fun.

Dash Genie In Car Holder v2.
Hi All.
I purchased this to replace a previous sticky holder which I cannot name.
This one sticks using a sticky pad and suction cup on the main base which does hold well ,but it has to be on a 100% flat surface otherwise the suction fails quickly.
The pad that holds your device is not as large compared to the base, I found this not as good at holding as the base ,as a consequence I have to use an elastic band around my device to be safe. I would thick the device pad needs to be larger in diameter.
For these reasons 3 stars is all I can give. But hey this is just my opinion.

Dash Genie In Car Holder
What a nifty little gadget. I was looking for something to put my mobile phone onto whilst driving since getting a clip and talk bluetooth kit. My phone normally sits near the cigarette lighter, or in my handbag and when the phone rings, its annoying that I can't see the screen to see who is calling, but this sits firmly wherever you want to put it - right in front on the dashboard. If you can't find a flat surface on the dashboard, this is manoeuvrable enough to put directly onto the windscreen. All it needs is a flat surface. The special material works brilliant sticking to the back of the phone. It would also be great for a hand held sat nav.

On taking the Dash Genie In Car Holder v2 out of the box other than looking like a Startrek logo it is fairly unimpressive.

Having read previous reviews I thought that the 'Genie' would be the holder for my Wildfire when being used as a Satnav, but this was not the case. Yes, it will stick but only after several attempts but not in landscape, this drops off straight away. I cleaned the pad, the phone, but it doesn't seem to make any differance. Great little product
Works a treat holding a Galaxy S with Case-Mate plastic cover. Phone doesn't move no matter what, but peels off nicely when you want to take it off. Holder is very secure provided you have a good surface to clamp it on.
Couldn't find many places to fix it to my BMW, due to the car having a curvy dash. This holder does have quite a large footprint, about 5cm in diameter, so think where you want to put it before you buy. Other than that, it is a bargain at this price.

As sticky as they say
Great car holder this. This one certainly does as it says on the tin.
Easily attaches to the dashboard and firmly holds the phone in place, unless of course you pull 1G through a corner.
Only down side is that a flat surface is required and base has quite a large footprint. So not always as easy as you think to find that surface to attach to.

Really clever
This is one of those products that you think simply won’t work.
Well, the good news is that it does work and works very well - but time will tell if the adhesive properties of the gel diminish.
The sticky pad that holds the phone is remarkably effective as is the pad that attaches the unit to the dashboard. Once it’s mounted no amount of shaking will release it. A simple twist and the phone detaches as if by magic.
The downside is that the pads lose some adhesive properties when very cold like it is at the moment – I guess the gel hardens – but it quickly recovers as things warm up.
The surface that is presented to the gel pads need to be absolutely clean and flat for maximum adhesion (and they are a magnet for fluff and fibres) – but it doesn’t matter if the dashboard is textured. I tried to use this in my partner’s SAAB and simply couldn’t find a surface flat enough on the very curved dashboard. However it’s not a big problem as you can attach the holder the windscreen.
The slightly rounded back of my HTC Desire is flat enough and the two little “rests” on the holder add extra security. Unfortunately in landscape mode there is no additional support so the phone’s security rest entirely with the gel pad. It has fallen of once in this mode so I am reluctant to use it like this again but I may be being unnecessarily cautious.
You also need to take care when moving the holder from portrait to landscape with the phone mounted as the twisting motion is how you detach the phone from the gel pad.
In summary a very useful gadget and the neatest and best phone mounts I have used.

OK. Cant use in the car as the top of the phone touches the windscreen blocking the power/lock button and any continual road vibration, particularly light as opposed to heavy, causes it to fall off after about 15 mins.

What a clever little device; it sticks completely securely to the dash as promised. The red spot on the genie is jelly-like and probably not as sticky as I had expected but, again, it keeps its promise. The holder sticks firmly to the dimpled plastic dashboard of my car. Phones and iPods stick well to the red circular pad as long as they have a flat back and aren't too curved.
If it's curved - like the curvy cases for some iPod Nanos - then expect it to slowly work lose and fall off when you go over a bump. But if it's a flat surface, it sticks well.

Having used phone model specific holders before, I was a little apprehensive about the generic design of the dash genie.
I needn't have worried, the adhesive pad holds my Iphone4 firmly in place even though I have mounted it in an almost vertical position. I have an otterbox case fitted and the dimpled finish does not cause a problem. The mounting system is flexible and when fitted it is vibration free. Although the phone hold is firm, removal is easy, just lift the phone and remove it without problem. The cutout on the bottom accommodates the charger connection perfectly. The pad does lose its stickiness over time as dust etc gathers, but a quick wipe with a damp cloth and it's back to as new. Highly recommended product. Excellent.

Pretty good!
Does what it says on the tin. Used this for two weeks now and 'sticky' hasn't warn off yet. Even used the massive Dell Streak without problem.
Only drawback is that I can't plug in any in-car chargers without tugging the charger off the dash. That means that using sat-nav on my phones is limited!

After watching the demonstration videos I was expecting great grip on my HTC Legend.

Good and bad
The holder will stick anywhere, I have it on my door as its the most convenient. It does hold the phone, push it on - twist it off (just a nudge)like magic but that means that if you have any sort of lead into the top of your phone it will pull it off (I have to wind the charge lead around the back so its loose on the phone) and also going round a corner too sharply will flick it off the sticky. It needs something on the sides to hold the phone in place. It works like the online video except for leads and corners. If you know the bad bits its workable, just needed more thought.

Shocking
After viewing the video and reading the reviews I thought this product was too good to be true.
It turns out it is.
It sticks to the window OK but the phone falls off the holder if you touch the phone (programming sat nav, etc) or drive around a corner.
How they can get away with making such a product which doesn't do what it says is beyond me.

great product
Sticks easily to my dash which has a stucco surface. I am familiar with the rubber that sticks to the dash and to the phone and I know of its longevity through washing. A very simple design but very effective. I do not like mounting devices with arms, knobs, cables, etc. This is clean and simple, and also easily removed.

Good product and will pretty much take any phone or mp3 player, once attached it is unlikely to fall off.
The only thing I have found that lets it down is that if the car is parked in direct sunlight then there is a pretty good chance when you get back in and stick your phone to it the whole thing will come unstuck and fall off (not the phone but the holder), it will go back on but find the dash has to cool down a bit first. This maybe due to the fact my dash is not smooth.
Other then that does what is says on the tin.

This is a good little holder .. except when it gets hot or if you touch it... not quite so stable as they lead you to believe
Maybe my iPhone 4 is heavier but its a bit of a faff when it the holder falls off and you have to clean it again as it won't go back on again if it gets dust/dirt on it

Dash Genie In Car Holder
As I regularly have to move a telephone/PDA holder between cars as I travel a lot I need a gadget that can stick well to any vehicle and any phone.
The Dash Genie takes up little space and the adhesion of the connection to either the windscreen or the dashboard is excellent. The adjustment of the angle of the phone holder is very good and firm.
The adhesion of the small pad is OK but needs washing after several uses to maintain this. If the angle is too vertical the phone can fall. This pad would benefit from being both larger and flatter so the area of contact is greater. The Clingo has this and looked a good alternative but seemed to be a less compact unit.

Awful if you have a sloped windscreen
I bought this to use with my iPhone 4 so that I could, in turn, use the GPS functionality of the phone.
Because of the sloped windscreen, it's nearly impossible to get the iPhone sitting in the cradle, with a slight decline backwards to hold the iPhone.
This meant that the iPhone sat pretty much bolt upright in the cradle attached to my windscreen.
Every time I pulled away from the junction, it shot off the cradle, and into the footwell of my car.
As for the suction cup being able to stick to all types of dash - forget it. Mine lasted about 3-5 seconds in practice.
In my personal opinion, if you want to keep your iPhone 4 on your dash/windscreen and not crushed under the brake pedal of the car, then buy something else.

Dash Genie In Car Holder
I bought the Dash Genie In Car Holder thinking this would be a good car holder for my HTC Mini. Drove from Birmingham to Liverpool and my phone fell off a total of 6 times. When I got to Liverpool I took the holder out the car and threw it in the bin. What a load of crap. Could of caused no end of accidents trying to catch my phone as it fell out of the holder. Would not recommend, especially if you have an expensive phone.

Not so good!
I purchased the Dash Genie in car holder, and must say that I am very dissapointed with the product. I have a Volvo V50, with a solid dash and whenever the sun was shining the dash Genie would not stay put, several times falling underneath the pedals of the car. I would recommend Mobile Fun, they are a good company to deal with. I would certainly not recomment the dash genie though, not fit for purpose.

Avoid if you have an iphone 4
Will not hold an iphone 4 in the horizontal position for more than a few seconds before falling off. Suction to dash is very good but even in the vertical position the phone comes off very easy if touched. I bought this to use sat nav on my iphone 4 which really requires power to be connected to it which is impossible in the vertical position as the phone is only a few mm above the dash. And you cant use it in the horizontal position as is simply falls off. Good in theory but poor in practice. My work fine for other phones but definitely not for the iphone 4.

Not as sticky as it says!
I bought this holder for my new iphone4 with bumper case as it seemed to be the best suited for the purpose. Although the base suction cup holds extremely well on the dash, the soft jelly adhesive material doesn't hold the phone for very long. I have followed the instructions precisely but after around 20mins or going over a bump the phone falls off. Not great if you crack your £500 iphone.I am looking for a clamp type holder now.

Hard to comment on...
This item is compact, simple and the dashboard attachment and swivel/gimball worked perfectly (none of the problems others have commented on).
However, the red gel circle that my iPhone 4 was supposed to attach to was weak. In a one week period of use, driving about 2 hours a day, my iphone fell off the mount at least once every day. The connection simply isn't strong enough. Perhaps on totally flat roads, with little acceleration and a slack power cable, an iphone will seat and stick fine. But under any other conditions expect the phone to come unstuck.
The red gel pad is discreet and slimline. Unfortunately, as much as I would like to recommend it, it just isn't sticky enough to reliably hold a phone in all conditions. I tried cleaning it, attaching the phone more firmly, ensuring the phone was touching the base pads and tilting the phone back as far as possible, but with no real success.

Don't buy this holder, a poor product
I wanted a car dash holder for my HTC Wildfire, not a screen mount, and there aren't many available. Video & web reviews of this product looked good. But what a disappointment. Sticks to the dash very well, but very poor adhesion to the mobile. So any pressure on the keypad and if the mobile case isn't absolutely clean, the mobile falls off. Don't buy it.

Car Holder OF DEATH!!!!!!
Firstly, as always, 10 out of 10 for Mobilefun’s service. They set the bar for on-line shopping IMO.
Unfortunately, I can’t be so kind about this product as it’s not so crash-hot. What I mean is that it doesn’t like heat, and it will make you crash.
Yes it grips the dash (even a curved one like mine) but after a hot day you will need to re-attach it. I can confirm that the sucker leaves a ring mark on your dash and it doesn’t seem to wipe off, even after a short period in position.
I say a SHORT period in position, because if it’s a hot day, it wont stay in position. Even if you re-attach it before driving and crank the air-con up, the heat already absorbed by the dashboard will still cause it to come loose after a few miles into your journey. The other problem is that red blob that’s supposed to “grip” the phone. It’s performance here is entirely proportional to the temperature, regardless of how dust-free you keep it. If it’s cold, it’s great. Holds my HTC Desire very well. If it’s slightly warm, it will fall off after 30 minutes. If it’s quite warm, it will fall off after 20 minutes. If it’s hot, you get about 10 minutes. The problem here is that YOU CANNOT TRUST IT. It is a matter of time until WILL let go, and you instinctively take your eyes off the road (usually at a roundabout where it likes to surprise you) to try and catch the thing. Two crashes in my brand new car (now with ring marks on the dash) have been narrowly avoided. And one other minor quibble is that if your phone charges up via a connection in the bottom of your handset, it’s unlikely that you will be able to get your charger plugged in. The bottom of the phone is only 1cm or so away from your dashboard when in place. But I suppose that doesn’t really matter if you are not likely to LIVE LONG ENOUGH using this holder to have to charge your phone up!
Buy this if you live in a very cold climate (colder than England!!!) or if you drive a tank. Otherwise you are better off looking elsewhere.
I am giving it two stars because it does very well as a desktop holder for my phone at work. I don’t go round many roundabouts with my desk, the air-con here is on all the time so the red blob grips just fine, and my desk is an absolute STATE so the ring marks will blend in nicely with all the other coffee mug ring stains.

No good for the car.
The build isn't bad, although I did have to cover the ball in the ball joint in pvc tape to pad it out as it was loose and wouldn't stay in position. The sucker pad sticks well to glass but is useless on a textured dash (I have Corsa) as it just doesn't stick. The red spot does work, but if you want to connect a cable to your phone (ie charger and/or mini jack) it doesn't have enough grip and the phone (i have a HTC Desire) ends up in the footwell in seconds! It is also not high enough to be able to plug the charger into the HTC Desire in the Portrait position. I have now resorted to using it as a bedside stand and have bought a new universal holder for the car until I find better.

Worth the money.
There really isn't a good place for it on the dash of my Citroen C4, it's either too far away or behind steering wheel. I guess this is mostly due to unusual dash configuration of the Citroen.
The stand itself is worth the money, although U should make sure the suction cup hasn't detached itself before putting your phone on it.

Almost Dash Genie Genius
The Dash Genie is quite remarkable and slightly disappointing. It's great that it sticks to the dash well and you can just place the phone on it without using clips, grips or any other fastening. Very convenient if you are in and out of the car a lot. Unfortunately the locking collar for the actual phone support did not work very well in my sample. It moved too easily and almost defeated it's purpose. I have fixed it in position with the help of a piece of plastic fork and it's great!! Now I am a happy camper. Sort that tightening collar and it will be perfect!

The "Dash Genie In Car Holder" is an excellent bit of kit. Over the years I have had so many phone holders and without a doubt this is the best so far. I sticks on the top of my dash (leaving no marks). Now used for 2 months
I've been using this holder for a couple of months now. Here are my findings.
Firstly, the sticky pad needs a clean water wipedown at least once a week to keep it working. If you don't your phone can fall off.
Secondly the holder's dash suction cup has come loose twice in this time. A wipe down of dash and the cup with clean water does the trick. Note that both occasions have been on really hot days.
Because the sticky pad does get less effective over time, until cleaned, I find myself getting nervous that the phone will fall off - this too has happened twice in the 2 months.
You really do have to apply some pressure (after the first 2 or 3 times after cleaning) to make sure it's stuck well.

Very Sticky!
Generally very pleased with this holder - it fitted in my car easily(05 ford focus) and holds phone very securely without obscuring the view like many windscreen mounted ones. Its nice and compact too - i expected something larger. I found it holds the phone really well in either portrait or landscape for sat nav function, tilts & pivots well so the passenger can fiddle (my DH!).
Just a couple of minor issues - it was so sticky to start with that when pulling the phone off it would leave the back behind (i have a nokia 5800) - but has now been deliberately dirtied which means it holds firm but the phone comes away in one piece! This has meant that if i use my charger at the same time it does pull out occasionally but that'll be because my chargers lead is on the short side. I've tried stretching the coils in the lead to make it longer, but it'll still pull the phone off eventually. The other minor niggle has been the sucker that sticks to the dash has loosened twice in this recent heat and fell off when i went to attach my phone. It's been easily repositioned and stuck well afterwards but was just annoying.

A brilliant product
This worked just as advertised, and holds my Dell Streak perfectly on a slightly dimpled dash surface. When the stickiness wears off, a damp cloth quickly restores it. Absolutely brilliant, and no need to replace when I get a new phone.

Dash Genie - a great product
I've been using this for over a month now, and it sticks like a limpet! I have a slightly textured dash on my car and the suction holds firm. The phone sticks to the holder brilliantly, (it's an HTC hdMini) and the design leaves both charging and headset sockets accessible. I tried sticking the phone on "off centre" just to see if it would hold as well, for phones with sockets in different locations, and it seems to work fine. It works with my brothers Motorola slide phone too, with the keyboard in, and out. I can see that it might not stick to some phones or dash surfaces, but its really good for mine.
Very happy with this purchase. Would definately buy it again.

Dash Genie
It works well although i lost the protective paper for both top and bottom it can be cleaned using your fingernail. I use this wile driving a taxi so speed bumps and potholes are no problem it is very easy to recommend Dash Genie it holds my iphone firm and allows me to charge it at the same time. It could do with a small cord or something to prevent losing the protective covers. But its still the best i have seen.

Used with HTC Desire in a FlexiShield case
The Dash Genie is a genuinely clever product. It really is easy to install though does need a clean and relatively flat dash - it can cope with a certain amount of curve. There is a warning in on the packaging about problems with porous material dashes.
Putting the phone in this 'cradle' does require a bit of pressure. Once in place though the phone is held securely. However, it is clear from the few days I've had this that the pad will need regular cleaning with water for the stickiness to be maintained. Tap water and a clean cloth works a treat in one wipe.
The main grumble I have with the design is that you cannot plug the HTC Desire charger in with the phone in portrait orientation (unless you are able to stick the mount right at the edge of your dash, which I can't due to the curve). Horizontal orientation solves this.

I have just received this product from Mobile Fun.co.uk and I have to say what a quick service! Placed the order 6.30 on Monday with me at lunchtime Tuesday. Reccommended company. Have not tried the dash Genie yet in the car but the sticky pad on the Genie certainly works well.

Please Read
I have taken a long time to purchase this product. I have done loads and loads of research about this product.
I read all of these reviews here and on other sites and took everyone’s opinions in to account.
I took the plunge and bought it 3
weeks ago, And it is amazing!!! The ring on the dash people say about is true, BUT comes off with a damp cloth. It doesn’t degrade the dash in anyway.
I have a HTC Desire and a satnav and it holds them both and my window is free of annoying suction rings!!!
11/10 I say buy it and try it out for yourself its less than £20!! Fantastic product.
I’m thinking of buying another one

Excellent product but the Nokia E71 does not work
Excellent product but the left hand lower support bracket covers the power socket that the Nokia E71 charger plugs into. This means that when running power hungry apps like navigation in the car the phone has to be placed on the tilt or only partially covering the sticky pad.

Excellent Product
I was quite sceptical about this holder but as it was exactly what I needed I decided to order two, (phone and sat nav), as I don’t like windscreen suckers that fall off on a regular basis. I was absolutely delighted with what I received. The suction to the dash is exceptional and my phone (Nokia 5230) stays firmly in place. Not the cheapest holder out there but you always get what you pay for and this is certainly not over priced.

Good... for a short while
This product is now useless for me. It will not stick to the dashboard for long, especially in the heat. My dashboard is dimpled (if any other Mini owners read this, don't bother purchasing!) so the claim to work for dimpled dashboards is rubbish. It does also leave a mark when you remove it. I still actually have a mark from where I first placed it (only for a few seconds) while working out where to put it permanently.
Had it 2 months now so past the 30 day guarantee but I won't be using it again.
Avoid!

works a treat!
Fitted to my e39 bmw dashboard holding a HTC HD2 in a flexisheld case. Used for just under 2 weeks now. Used everyday and have covered about 600 miles. Works flawlessly! In that time the mount has come unstuck from my dash twice when its been sat in the heat and sun all day but a simple reapply and its fine. Highly recommended!

Damaged dash
First the good news. Put the mount on the dash, placed my iPhone on the holder and away I went. Neither the phone or the mount moved over the whole of a 6 hour journey.
Now the bad bit. When I removed the mount from the dash I found that it had left a ringed indentation in the surface of the dash.
In my view the suction pad is far too strong. Unlikely to be using it again.

Not all that good
I don't normally write reviews but I am so unhappy with this I just had to write something.
Firstly the red sticky part does not do a good job of holding the phone (HTC Desire) which doesn't have a shiny smooth finish which is prob why. The second thing is that the it holds the phone so low that it is impossible to plug in a charger and the coil type chargers just make it more likely to fall off.
The old good thing is the ability to stick to the dash.

Dangerous Product - Does not do what it's suppose
Unfortunately, although I wrote a review praising the Dash Genie, I am sorry to sayafter trying out the Genie twice it has not lived up to its promise. The Genie is from a manufacturing and practical purpose appalling. It does not live upto its claim of holding any mobile phone securely. My G2 hero has been damaged by the Genies inability to hold after a few usages. And, in one instance nearly caused me to go into the back of another car whilst trying to catch my phone as it fell away from the Genies cradle. I am so disappointed that I urge you to take this product off the market as it is a driving hazard.

Good but over-priced and flawed for some phones
This product, as a mere phone holder, works extremely well in that it sticks securely to the dash. However, unless your phone has a flat back it will not be held in place either securely or at all as the sucker to hold it is in the middle of the holder.
For example it will not work with a Nokia N97 as the curve at the bottom and the camera at the top move the back away from the sucker. Perhaps rather than return it I will cut the top off the holder.
It is also seriously over-priced for what at the end of the day is just a bit of plastic.

Won't hold in warm weather
I have found this mount to be poor,it will not hold my device for more than a few minutes or so even worse on a warm day, I have an HD2 and cannot trust the mount to keep it safe,on two occasions it was only the power lead that stopped my device crashing to the floor of my car, I have had to resort to using a rubber band to hold my HD2 onto the mount it really is a poor product,

Innovative Product
This is a great product, it sticks like glue to the dashboard BUT ensure the surface is flat. When used with just the phone my Desire was held firmly. However, the only downside for me was it didn't provide enough clearance for my HTC Desire' USB charger. Therefore the forces of the cable would slowly eek the phone away from the holder, and result in the phone falling. Please can this be improved for the mark 2 version ?

I nearly died, no really!!!
i was driving off the a127 around the curly slip road when the "motorola milestone" set in portrait came loss and shot across the dash hit the window, so i grabbed it as i went off the exit on the round about, as i looked to catch it, which was going at quite a speed, i ended up mounting the kerb but still managed by luck to keep control of the car.
i think it may need to have the sticky bit washed every so often??
it takes up a lot less space on the dash then the window sucker holders i used to have. So even though i almost wrote off the car, it didnt hold the phone too well either.
is the phone just too heavy?
i dont want to give a bad review, but my alloy wheels say differnt

It's the only one you'll need
I was getting sick of buying a new holder every time i upgraded my phone, problem solved with the Dash Genie.
It took no time at all to fit and, even though it looks like your phone is just resting on the holder, it just doesn't budge.
I have the Nokia N900 and even though it is quite a large phone, with a slide out querty key pad, it just sits there, portrait or landscape position no problem.
All the buttons and connectors are easy to access.
My dash has a dimpled finish and the Genie is as solid as a rock.
Very much recommended.

Works a treat
Bought this as I had been looking for a holder that provided access to all buttons on my Samsung Galaxy with little success. Had it for over a week now and it works a treat for holding the phone so much so that the whole unit came off the dash (not sure its on a completely flat surface as the instructions say it should be) and the phone still stayed stuck to the unit even when it fell to the floor. As long as the stickiness stays then this will be a fantastic long term buy. As always the delivery from mobile fun was 1st class.

Looks a bit like the Star Trek Emblem and is just
Bought this with some trepidation as I have been having difficulty finding something to hold my INQ Chat 3G phone safely where I can see it clearly. This item solved the problem brilliantly. Sticks like a limpet to the dash of my Suzuki SX4 and holds the phone very securely. The 'stickyness is also strong enough to hold my Garmin Sat Nav!
Also reminds me of the Star Trek emblem which for a trekkie is a bit of a bonus!
Just a thought - if your phone is one that doesn't stick to this holder then maybe sticking a piece of screen protector to the back of your phone would help?

The item was delivered Earlier than I had hoped, which was good. It held my mobile well, even when it was enclosed in its silicone cover and did not move around much. However, the suction pad will NOT stick onto a pimpled surface, even though it feels sticky enough to. Other than that point, nothing but compliments for the product!

I just got this today and took it for a little test drive and it really does stick and there is little or no chance of your phone dropping off, in fact when I take my phone off from it the battery cover stays stuck to it (but my cover is slightly loose) lol.
Only problem i've had is that it's hard to charge my N95 8gb as the rests sit right where i have to plug the charger in. I just moved the phone over a little bit and it doesn't seem to make a difference to the sticking power :-)
I can definately say i am happy with the product and it was delivered the next day !

I bought this thinking it was good as the video and advert said so - it arrived quickly (thank you) BUT it does not hold my phone - each time it holds it for about 5 seconds and then it falls off - dangerous - my phone HTC HD2 does not have a shiney back therefore does not stick - be warned - I filled in the form to return it - it will cost about £5 to return therefore I wil lnot waste more on this - waste of money and sadly will cost me more to return it - I believed in the products recommended by Molile Fun - sadly they did not test it enough and it has wasted my time and money

Brilliant product!
Had this for just over a week and it is superb. Holds my N900 (which is a bit on the chunky side) with no problems at all - driving over speed bumps / taking roundabouts and corners at speed is no problem - the phone just sits in the cradle and never even moves. It can easily be moved / tilted etc to get the best viewing position and use the functions easily once the phone is in place.. Plus because there is not anything holding the phone on the sides it is easy to access the charger socket etc.
Excellent value for money as well!!
