Good while it lasted....
Bought this case as a friend had recommended it to me and I wanted a quality case that would protect the phone for the duration of the contract.
Quite early on the plastic that holds the bottom of phone snappe which I could get by with as the phone was held nice and snug by the sides so there was no chance of the phone dropping out.
More disappointedly however is the fact that the outer leather and stripey inner seem GLUED together rather than stitched, as the two have now started to come apart on my case.
So it looks like that the case will not last for the duration as intended :(

Alu Leather Case -HTC Desire
The case appears to be well made. So far I haven't had any problems with it though one has to be careful with the magnetic catch, The two ends have to be properly aligned for the catch to lock. The case is slightly more bulky than I imagined.

HTC DESIRE CASE
This is a better quality case than the standard G& cases available. Seems much stronger and more durable. However, was disappointed with the followinf:
1) front plate moves from side to side when you close the clip due to the fact that the leather does not go not all the way across the top of the case.
2)case opens at the bopttom end instead of the top so it flaps about whilst using it, especially a pain when using the camera.
3) fastening clip at bottom means you cannot pluc power in unless you leave it open.
Shame really that there was no thought put into the usage of the case, otherwise it's definitely the best quality case available on the market.

Superb match for my phone.
I received the item the next day and it was exactly as described. The design and look of the leather case is quite classy. I cannot find anything negative to say about this product. The phone fits into the case perfectly whilst allowing the camera to be used by flipping open the front cover. 10/10

Alu Leather Case - HTC Desire
Got this case to house my new htc desire. This case is not your faux leather plastic kind, its real leather, well made and grips the phone tight. If you want to keep your phone scratch free and also keep it looking stylish, then get this case. If you buy a cheaper version you'll end up buying twice.

Just what I was looking for.
I've bought other bits for my HTC Desire from other suppliers and been disapointed. This was made for the HTC and so fits it. In future I will only buy from Mobile Fun when I need bits for my HTC.

Alu Leather Case - HTC Desire.
Compared to other cases this is expensive.
However the quality is very good and with the hard front cover should protect the vulnerable screen.
Unfortunately, the magnetic catch on the front is not placed exactly in the middle, so the front cover is slightly offset.
Also the top right of the case is cut away to much to allow for head phones leaving a vulnerable area for damage if you drop it.
This is a shame because with a little care and thought this would have been a 10/10 case,

Does exactly what it's meant to do
For the price this was a great buy. Sturdy, well made, good looking and protects the phones vitals. The only issue I have is I think the white stitching is a bit over the top, but that's personal preference. Overall a great case

Smart Phone Smart Case
I'm pleased with the Alu case design it offers a fair degree of protection to the front and back of my phone it has a feel of quality and luxury about it. The only changes I would make to the design are for more side protection by extending the mounts within the case to cover the edges of the phone.

Smart Phone Smart Case Upgrade
I've now made this the perfect case and want to share this. After submitting my 1st rewiew and reading others I realised the common complaint was the lack of side protection for the phone. This is so easy to fix just buy a gell case and cut the gel so it fits in the Alu case and is held by the side clips then slide the desire inside. Now you have total protection and the perfect case.

Alu Leather Case - HTC Desire.
This is a good little case, and it is also relatively easy to remove the phone from it (useful if you also bought a charging cradle!)
The hinge, however, doesn't extend across the full width of the case, so time will tell about its durability. Fine for the moment.

Really pleased
I was really pleased with this purchase. It was a lot better quality then I expected and it's sturdy as well.
I read other reviews about no gap being present for the charger cable, but to be honest all you have to is unhook the clip and you're fine.
Quick delivery as well.

Brought this as it was not the cheapest but offered the protection that I was looking for. It is nicely made and sturdy. With the aluminium plate in the screen cover gives reassurance that it would need a substantial bang to do any damage. The design was what I was looking for as well as a lot of the other cases looked cumbersome to get to your phone. I am so pleased with it that I brought the same make for my desire hd.

Brilliant Case, supports and protects phone.

The leather case is a perfect fit for the HTC Desire and allows all the functions to be used. The aliminium lined cover gives good protection on the screen. It looks very stylish and the phone is comfortably secure. I would recommend this case, a great buy.

The phone fits really well and easily. The last case I had was a struggle. If I had a gripe it would be that the "hinge" only goes half way across to allow for the camera to be used while the case is closed but other than that, excellent quality.

Very attractive design for a classic product. It protects the HTC well and although makes it a bit more bulky, still fits into my shirt top pocket. It's tricky to use the camera while in the case so I usually take it out.

Alu Leather Case - HTC Desire.
I've dropped mobiles in the past and really couldn't afford to break this one so I bought this case after fair amount of research and haven't been disappointed.It's leather case is soft and looks expensive( which it is...a bit)but it's worth the money.It's simple to fit and very robust. It obviously makes the phone bigger but I'm happy to accept that as the price for keeping my HTC secure.

practical and durable
When I got my htc desire, I realised how fragile it was and that I needed a decent case. I think the product is well worth the price. Its practical and durable. And being leather its not going to rip or fall apart. I love the fact you they have a camera hole at the back. However it is difficult to take photos with the case as you need to hold the flap up and away from the camera. That is the only down side to this product. It keeps my fone safe and secure. I have dropped my fone a few times and the case has protected my htc very very well. I reccommend highly. Great service too. :d.

Alu Leather case for HTC Desire
I bought this case after dropping my phone. I found this case well made with the added built in protection for the screen. The phone is held in place by a clip on either side of the phone. I found that the clips a little loose which allowed the phone to twist in the case reducing the protection on the sides of the phone. However a litle adjustment allowed the phone to be held firmly in place. An all a good purchase even if a little adjustment was required.

htc desire leather case
The case is good solid construction with a nice feel. It doesn't make the phone too bulky and provides adequate protection for the desire. Only negative is the phone still has a desire to slide out the bottom of the case and another plastic arm at the base of the case would have been more supportive. That being said, a great product at a competitive price.

More Than A Desire
Finding a quality cover for my HTC Desire was easier said than done - and then I found some reassuring pictures and a little video on Mobile Fun. I ordered online immediately. Smart and practical
I'm pleased with this purchase. I dropped my phone whilst very new and got away with it. I don't want it to happen again.
I find this case very practical to flip open, and feel much less likely to drop it, or break it if I were to drop it.
The drawback is that it makes the phone a bit bulkier in the pocket, but I can live with that as compared with the alternative(s)

Very pleased.
After trawling many sites for a suitably priced case for my new HTC desire I found the Alu Leather case. I read the other reviews & went ahead with my purchase. I was not disappointed. It is nicely lined with a pinstripe fabric, the phone fits it perfectly and the case feels soft and durable. It does not look cheap which was one of my worries. Other people report that they struggle to take photos with the phone in the case I have not found this to be an issue & have taken great photos with my phone in the case. Overall very happy with my case.

I recently purchased the Ali case for my HTC desire. Like everythingthat offers protection there ate drawbacks, I. Have to say these are minimal and even found that holding the flap up allows use of the camera whilst affording shade to.the screen. All in all a good product.

Recently bought a pouch type case for the htc desire.The quality was excellent but because the desire is very touch sensitive I needed a case that allowed me to use the phone without removing it from the case.This case certainly does that and offers adequate ptoection for the phone screen etc.The product is also well made and the service from mobile fun was excellent as usual.

Alu Leather Case for HTC Desire Assessment
I've owned an Alu case for several weeks now, allowing time to assess its performance after usage.
It's fair to say from the outset, that this case looks and feels a quality product. However, that said, I'm very disappointed with it's protective properties.
The front flap, although protects the screen effectively, is so lose with side movement, even when clipped in place, fails to protect the majority of the surround of the phone. This is compounded by the softening of the leather covering the back of the handset. Damage to my phone, as a result of a fall to the floor, is a case in point.
The cutaway, allowing connection access for the stereo ear phones jack plug, is so large, this again, exposes further, the phone surround to possible damage. It is this very cutaway that reduces the width of the 'hinge' of the front flap, causing it so much side movement.
For the cost, which isn't cheap, I would have expected more than just aesthetic looks.

ordered this and straight away wasnt blown away by it ! leather isnt great looks cheap bit to shiny looking and good bottom corners could still top a whack if dropped as there exposed ...that said great if your day to day allows you to carry hand bag, inside jacket pocket etc....otherwise bit big for jean pocket ..but alu sheild in front provides good protection ...my preference only but gave it a go but going back to something bit more snug i.e silicon skin or case mate barely there and a screen protector ;)

Good quality case
I have been using this case for a week or so now. It is very nice quality leather, looks very smart with the interior detail, and seems well constructed.
The grips hold the phone firmly and the magnetic clip is strong enough to keep the case closed & my phone safe in my handbag.
You have to make sure the phone is lined up properly so the case doesn't get in the way of the lens or flash when taking photos. As the phone just slips & out of the case, I have been taking the phone out of the case to take photos, which is no great problem.
Overall I would definitely recommend this case.

stylish and tough case for htc desire
I am a decorator with a long history of broken phones both from dropping them whilst up ladders and putting in my hip pocket with keys etc so was worried my new HTC desire would not last long with its large touch screen ,this case however is working a treat the phone clips in securely, is easy to open one handed , screen cover light but tough and its still easy to operate functions .I have not removed phone from cover once since I purchased it ,oh and did I mention it looks fab !

Good quality leather case. Best feature is the stiff flip over front screen protector. Only criticism is that the side grips could have been better designed to fit the contour of the phone.

The case is a good fit. You cannot plug the micro USB cable in with the case closed but I don't find this a problem. I was thinking of still buying a screen protector as well but not sure I need it. Prompt delivery from MobileFun.

ALU case for HTC Desire
I bought the HTC Desire on Thursday and I know how easily these devices can get scratched or damaged.
I ordered the case on Friday and received it on Saturday which does not surprise me.
I have used MobileFun before and the service then was excellent.
Not forgetting the case of course, fits perfectly and all functions available.
Also camera is not obstructed by the case.

A great case, offering plenty of protection for those like me, that tend to keep a phone in a pocket jangling around with keys, coins etc. If using the camera, I've found it best to remove the phone from the case. If it's not sitting dead square, the case can foul the lens and/or the flash.
The only thing I don't like is the magnetic catch. I first noticed a problem after installing the compass app. The magnet of the case can interfere with the accuracy somewhat.
Then I noticed that the signal on my phone was always lower than my other halfs. (she has a wildfire on the same provider/plan). Remove the phone from the case, and I get the same signal strength.
I'm now thinking of removing the magnet & replacing it with velcro, if I can work out how to remove the magnet without causing damage to the case.
Apart from that, I'm very pleased

Fitted perfectly and the mag clip was good.
I use it when I am working and it stops marking of the screen when I am stretching or bending. It also stop dust getting in and marking the screen. Good product!!

I can relax now
Was always worried before this case arrived that I would smash the screen carrying it at work in my jeans pocket. No worries now the aluminium cover gives all the protection I need. The case looks good, doesn't make the phone bulky,and leaves all the facilities intact. Very pleased delivery only a day or so. Excellent.

Alu Leather case for HTC Desire
Searched various cases for my new HTC Desire and this had a good review. Is not perfect because it is designed for Nexus, but somehow it fits. Feels good in hand in particular the metal bit which protects well. When you stick at back pocket of your jeans one feels confident it wont damage case. Leather craft is excelent quality and it shows.

The Jury is still out!
Postage service with this company is SUPERB... I ordered after lunch and still received the very next day. The product itself looks to be well made. The phone sits well in the holders but the top flap moves quite a lot due to the extra fabric around the clasp area allowing for this movement. The back doesn't have an reininforced protector, but the front does. The sides are not protected apart from the holding clasps so if dropped on the side there is no protection, that a rubber protector would offer. However I doubt there is any 100% protective cover and this has a lifetime guarantee so I will see how it goes. In summary its not as good as I thought it would be. I even thought about returning it, as the £20 is quite steep...but it will do. Basically the jury is still out for now. Just a tip, do a voucher search prior to ordering for this company as they always seem to have some offer. I got a free screen cloth worth over £3!

Good Product
The Alu Leather case fits my htc desire very well and protects the phone aswell. i now dont have to worry when i am absent minded and i put my phone in my pocket which are bearing my keys, coins and other items that can scratch the phone. Not sure about the cream leather lining on the inside flap covering screen of the phone. A bit distracting. It could have remained all black and still look good with the nice leather and white stitching around the edges.

Not bad at all
I've been pondering getting a case for my Desire for a while now, I needed something that offered a bit more protection than a gel skin did, as I do a lot of work outdoors so I wanted to ensure that if it was in a bag, it wouldn't get something hard/sharp through the screen.
I had my reservations as to looking like a gimp if I used the phone with the case, but it doesn't look too bad at all. The aluminium is only in the front however, so it's not quite as rigid as I'd hoped, but the protection is where it counts!
Overall I'm pleasantly surprised! 4/5 on the grounds that I'd have liked both the front AND back to be metal lined.

Case arrived and yes it does offer good protection, however not designed for the HTC Desire but only for the Nexus One. The difference between the two phones is only slight but does not make the case the perfect fit.

alu case for desire
very good case. feels well made, looks good and the aluminium plate is reassuring. You can stand your phone upright and use it as a desk clock.
2, very minor, quibbles. There is no credit card slot and after a period of time the side grippers need to be squeezed a little to retain a firm grip on the phone. When not tight you need to support the base of the phone to stop it sliding down.

Alu Leather Case 4 my HTC Desire
First purchase from this company. Pleased with choice of products and fast efficient delivery, unfortunately not free! Come on Mobile Fun, how about it? Just purchased new phone and needed some protective cover, but nothing in local shops.
Product itself accurately described and I am delighted with the quality of the case. It was reduced by £10 so was slightly dubious about buying a product that I couldn't examine, I think I'm quite particular, but I have to say I am a very happy customer!
