Easy and convenient
I needed a replacement HTC headset as the old one was broken. In the meantime I had used standard headphones but, with these, it wasn't really convenient to make or receive calls. This item is no more expensive than a reasonable pair of headphones yet has a good sound and the added functionality. So, a good buy.

Just what I needed
The htc rc e160 is the perfect item for my htc desire hd. It is very clear to listen to your music, radio or phone-calls. Nice long cable, so you can place the phone in your pocket.

Perfect replacement
Bought these to replace a set that got squashed in the car door. These are the same as the ones that came with the Desire HD and are the usual HTC quality ie. Good!

Efficient and inexpensive
As someone who goes through earpieces on a raid basis I was surprised by the quality of this earpiece particularly when one considers the cost relative to other units that are significantly more money. It works well and the sound quality is good, well worth the money. Given past performance I bought two of them, just in case, however the spare is still in the box after 3 weeks or so
Oh and the service was good as well, after buying several things over recent months from this company, they have not let me down which is refreshing.

cheaply made, badly designed, sold at a premium
This is my 3rd pair of these headphones & I've only had my HTC HD2 for less than a year & I'm a careful owner, so they aren't durable at all.
The buttons are fiddly, you can easily make a mistake if your not looking at them & the mic is terrible for anyone calling. A lack of volume control makes it very frustrating to have to take the phone out of your pocket & unlock it & after a while...the buttons stop working totally.
The sound quality isn't bad (hence 2 stars & not 1), but it's a pretty poor product for the £15 you have to pay.

Great stuff
Great sound from these headphones. The 1st set I bought didn't work so the company replaced them really quickly with no quibbles. Would certainly recommend.

Why is this worse than the one that comes with the
Bought these as a direct replacement for the set that comes with the phone. The build quality is slightly more flimsy and the sound is noticeably tinnier.

Same as the original Desire headset
After losing the original headset from my Desire, a standard pair of headphones was fine for music but a pain if people rang me while they were attached due to no mike or controls.
These are comfy, sound good and give me back hands free control again.
Yippee!
