Mobile phone carrier and charger
Well, this is a pretty good bit of kit. It is based around the usual cigarette lighter plug and at the end of the plug is a USB socket, presumably suitable for powering or charging any USB compatible devise. On the side of the plug is the phone cradle, again pretty good! But the bonus is that, in addition to the above, you get a cable with a mini jack plug that goes into phones and other devices that can be charged via a jack plug - AND you get a series of adapters for various phones. Now my phone is fairly ancient, and I'm too mean to upgrade it to something modern, so I wasn't surprised to see that my phone wasn't listed. It would be bound to work, I thought, all I need is the right plug or adapter. How wrong could I be (and I'm a retired electronics engineer). Here's the problem. USB, I think, assumes 5 volts, and presumably so does the little wire supply 5 volts. A quick check with a meter on my mains charger revealed that my phone needs 6 volts. Doh! But the kit is good and I'm sure I'll find a use for it, even if I have to buy a new phone.... So, check your phone is on the list or runs from 5 volts is the moral of story.

Mobile phone holder
It does what it says on the tin! However when the phone is located into the holder and then the 12 v plug is inserted into the socket the gear lever gets in the way. Probably OK if the socket was mounted on the car's dashboard, might be a good idea to point this out.

Best Item I Ever Bought
This charger was certainly the best purchase I have ever made. It fitted straight into my van with no fuss and with the adapter I was easily able to connect my iphone4.
Very happy with the price, infact, I was expecting it to be very flimsy. However, I have been very surprised at how sturdy the product is. Would definately recommend purchasing this item. I have also been impressed with Mobilefun.co.uk and will purchase from them again.

Very handy and versatile
I was shopping for a protective case (which I also bought) when I spotted this at a very good price. I was sceptical but thought it might be useful so I added to my order. I have been impressed by its ease of use and, having 4 phones with 3 different charge connectors in our family, it has had regular use over a short period. Although not rugged or robust it definitely does the job well at a great price.

Just what I wanted.
What an amazing product; the head swivels every which way so you can avoid any obstacles, it charges either two phones or phone and sat-nav at the same time and if your phone and sat-nav are bluetooth it also makes a brilliant hands-free kit. What more could you ask for £10 delivered free?

Absolutely Brilliant
Exactly what I've been looking for. I can now charge my bluetooth headset and phone from the same socket & the phone doesn't fly around the cab of my bus either. Can also use my SatNav via the USB. Just brilliant & what a price!!!

The only thing you need in your car for your phone

Handy USB connector as well....
A bit bulky and limited available position when plugged into my 3 series BMW cigar lighter socket that is close to the dashboard facia and gear shift. However, it has the option of both powering a mobile/ipod using the handy range of connectors PLUS the SatNav using the separate USB socket. Overall good value.

Useful and neat
This charger achieves in a very simple and effective manner all your chsrging needs on the go.

In principal a very useful piece of kit,not very stable when the phone is in dock, have to support the weight by opening the ashtray draw, other than that the unit is good.

Good multi function kit.
I like how easy it is to use and its functionality.
Trailblazer does what it says on the tin, holds my Nokia N8 perfectly.
For my Nuvi Sat Nav I really had to tighten the nut on the ball swivel to almost breaking point to stop it from self adjusting to a position of its own, but the navigator won't be in it so often to become a problem, otherwise use the navigators own holder. I drive an automatic XC90, only down side I found is the position of my cigar lighter is between the gear selector for Drive and my left knee which is ok for the mobile but to tight for comfort for the navigator and gets knocked either by my hand when selecting Drive or knee, but thats not a fault of TrailBlazer. I'd buy another without thought, simply I like it.

The first one that really works
Other mobile phone holders stick to the windscreen either by suction (works up to a point) or by glue (doesn't work). This one attaches the phone to the cigarette lighter place, a concept which works well - provided it ends up in a place you can see.

Trailblazing car holder
At any price the Traiblazer car holder/phone charger is good value for money. It's versatile, very easy to use, set up and best of all will pair with two different phones. This means that both the wife and I can use the unit and it automatically pairs with the driver's phone !!

Exactly what was needed
Great holder and charger combined. In the relatively small space available in a Fiesta, the TrailBlazer allows me to charge and hold my Torch securely. Also positioned so that I can connect to the car's Aux input and I now have all my tunes with me.

No bad - be sure it fits before you buy!!!!
Overall build quality is pretty good for the price. Make sure you've carefully considered if it will fit or not. I drive a focus st and theres only position I can get the holder to fit in without the gearstick whacking the phone or it catching on leg as I change gear. Ive got a galaxy s2 which I have to place on its side-no way it will stand up.

Everything you need in one place.
I oerdered the item because I was running short of space and power outlets. This one helps by having a USB outlet, and another accessory outlet with adaptors to fit a wide range mobiles and other devices. If a mobile is fitted in the gripper, it doesn't slip, and is wide enough to fit any of the standard Android types. Bargain.

In my car, a Renault Laguna, there is a power socket in the central console. Perfect for the unit and discretion, if left in the car.
The cigarette lighter socket was not suitable since a unit such as this would interfere with both heating controls and gear selector.
Good value.

What a great bit of quality kit at such a low price. Grips my blackberry securely and has a real quality feel to the item. Only slight criticism is the curly cable which does feel a bit cheap but does the job.

Great phone holder.
This is great my husband and I can both charge our mobiles at the same time, the only downside is that because it clips directly to the cigarette socket it's no good for sat nav but fine for hands free.

Good value but not stable enough
Holds an htc desire hd well but the long arm attachment to the cigar lighter adapter allowed for too much vibration when driving causing music tracks to skip. May be ok in a different car (mini one is the car it was used in).

Good holder/charger combination
This item holds the phone securely whilst the swivel hinge allows you to set it at the optimum angle to access the phone for anwering on the handsfree. As the whole unit is in the cigarette lighter there are no worries about where to fix the mount or it rolling about the cente console. Charging facility works well and the build quality appears robust. I bought this item as I needed a car charger cable and a mount and so far this is great.

Nearly flawless
Excellent in principle but if your power source is slightly tucked under the console like mine is then the gooseneck is of no use. I therefore have to mount my phone sideways which is bearable because my screen changes when the phone is turned on its side. For a standard phone however I imagine it would be very annoying. The additional charging point (USB) is a great idea and it's very easy to quickly secure and detach your phone. Pleased with the purchase but not 100% satisfied.

not for my car
Bought this thinking great at last something to charge my phone without wires trailing about,had read other buyer's reviews some said it got in the way when changing gear, I have a new vauxhall astra (automatic) I thought no problem then, the product is very well made strong it holds my phone "lg chocolate" snugly the avert says it will hold I pod nano not mine doesn't close up enough, anyway it would not fit the 12volt sockets on my car so returned it for a refund.

Very useful gadget
I had been looking for something to hold my mobile phone and this is ideal. Simple to install, nothing more complicated than sticking it into the cigar lighter. Holds my Blackberry firmly and safely. The charger cable and USB socket will be useful.

Did not expect too much due the low price, but was surprised when it turned up, seems to work OK although found it does get knocked when changing gear, only put in car lighter when on a long journey.

Great idea, good price and swift delivery - thanks. However although it does work and charges satisfactorily, it is a bit wobbly with an iPhone on board and slips out of charger contact easily. The arm allows good freedom of positioning - but never quite right for my X-Trail. For me - not quite great - but getting there.

Does The Job I Bought it For
Not much space between gearstick & socket on the Vauxhall Insignia. Had to use an extender to raise it to stop the stick fouling.
Otherwise a neat solution to a very cramped location with no flat surfaces to stick to , & very little room. Bit flimsy but does the job fine.

Poor Quality Product
I bought one of these to charge my Samsung Galaxy S for use in the car based on the average reviews and the fact that I wanted one unit to power and dock the phone.
The product comes with various wires and connections which makes the device a little messy with wires everywhere but I was generally happy, however the dock only managed to charge the phone for one journey before the current stopped reaching the device.
I have now returned the product for a refund and will likely spend the extra for the genuine Samsung car dock.

I brought it as a present, and as it comes with lots of different adaptors, it allows them to charge their ipod touch ( which is what I originally was looking for ) but it also allows them to charge their phone as well (htc desire), perfect for someone that drives alot!.

Great product!
This product is great for the purpose that is designed for; holds your phone securely with the added option of charging it at the same time. Unfortunately, car cigarette lighters are not positioned the same all over and for an E36 BMW, as is my case, it doesn't fit nicely; too close to the dashboard and sits awkardly. Aprt from this, I recommend this product for people with different car lighter position...

Great gadget for the car. Bought several for different people. Good for charging while also using as a sat nav on my phone. Usb port gives you another option for other devices. My favourite part is the fact that as its a cigarette lighter adapter it wotn leave tell tale signs of markes on your windscreen like other phone holders. Leaves to signs for thieves.

The TrailBlazer is OK for the price but my phone (Desire HD)seems to be too heavy for it and keeps droping to face the floor. I will keep it given that I do not navigate a lot and would only use it ocassionally but for those who do use these items a lot there are far better options.

Two functions for the price of one
This charger and phone holder is great value for money. The holder is sturdy and simple to quickly fit and release the phone. The adaptors supplied are comprehensive and you can also use your SATNAV for the unit at the same time as charging your phone. One word of warning dependant upon your cars 12volt socket position, the holder may impact upon hand levers, brake or gear stick. Works fine on my car though a Volvo S40, 54 Reg new shape.

A handy holder/charger
A useful solution if you need a holder and charger for your BlackBerry. Big enough to hold my 'Torch' and it has multi adjustment so you can view either portrait or landscape mode, Does vibrate a little bit but not enough to be a problem. You need to ensure that your cigarette lighter socket is not too close to the gear lever or it may not be for you. (Just about OK on my Renault Laguna). When charging you get a nice big analogue clock displayed on the BlackBerry which is easy to read. Had a problem with the first one I received as it wouldn't charge constantly but the replacement arrived quickly and worked fine. Good value too.

Really wish it were better made
This item is fantastic in concept -certainly a much better solution than any vent mounted holder. Unfortunately though, it could do with being made more robust and to a higher spec (I would definitely pay more if better quality).
The item I received wobbled in the cigarette lighter socket from the start due to a loosely fitted spring and terminal, then finally within a further week gave up completely, providing no charge to my phone and blocking the socket for any alternative charger when used only as a phone holder.
Cannot fault MobileFun (5 stars) who sent a replacement instantly. The faulty unit is going to be returned for free through their Collectplus agency.

The universal car charger + holder
was just perfect for me. Serve the purpose that I bought it for. It hold my htc desire firmly while driving and charge the phone as well. What I like most about it is that you can turn the holder to any angle you like. Cool product.

Ok....but.
Does the job, however the positioning of the cigar lighter on the Ford Fiesta makes the positioning awkward. Whichever angle you turn it to its in the way of either your knee or the gearstick. Works perfectly though.

TrailBlazer Universal Car Charger and Holder
The (almost) ideal gadget to hold a smart phone with GPS in place in a car. All the rather unwieldy suction based holders have the disadvantage of falling down from the windshield when the suction plate looses adhesion which it does normally in critical moments of driving. This one stays put! A slightly longer lever would prevent the phone to be too close to the gear shift which forces the phone out of the ideal position exactly parallel to the windshield.

Seems to adequately do what its supposed to do may be a bit over priced,much better than having a long lead trailing about the car. Good selection of adapters. On my samsung the upper right arm is in the way of the socket on the phone when the phone is resting on the supporting arms at the bottom.

Has not worked for me
Useful and well designed but the fitting that connects to the phone is too loose. As a result I had to keep fiddling with it to re-establish a connection with the charger while the car is moving. Has been returned for a replacement.

The phone holder comes with various adaptors to fit all the latest phones, its sturdy design holds your phone, and adjust for just about any angle.
What is great about it is that it has a separate slot to charge another item using the spare usb port..Genius

My wife and I share one car and this is perfect for us as the pack contains adaptors for both our phones (a Blackberry and a Samsung) and works absoultely fine with both. The holder can also be angled so that we can easily see when we have received a message / phonecall even if the phone is on silent. The only slight problem we have is the fact that our lighter dock is quite close to where the gear shaft is when in 5th gear, and the phone holder was knocked on a few occasions.
However, I would definitely recommend for when more than one person uses the same car.

Decent product
For the price, this does the job. I have had the holder/charger for a week or so and used it in the car a couple of times. It seems to provide a good charge to the phone (fully charge within an hour) and provides a good fit for my Desire, but will handle probably all smartphones. My only issue is the flexibility (or lack of) of the arm as you cannot fully twist the cradle - it only goes one way. Having said that, with some faffing it does provide a number of acceptable angles. Plus point is the array of connectors, these will give you a connector for just about every type of phone/PDA/MP3.

Car charger holder
This looks a good thing but when I tried to fit it in my Honda FRV it would not fit in the cigar lighter as the consul front comes down low and doesn't leave enough space for the holder to go in. Will have to keep it until I get another car.

Perfect for the Job
I do like the charger as it doubles as a phone holder also.
I know all cars cig holders are diffrent but I'm able to see the screen quite clearly, you can however adjust this holder to any angle you can think of.
Only Minor down side is I have had a issue where my last one had a problem charging the phone it just kept going on and off all the time hence only giving it 4 stars.

My latest phone is a Sony Ericsson ZYLO, which is a slider typr phone. The Trailblazer is not really suitable for this type of phone, as the gripping devices prevent the phone being opened whilst in the holder. It is almost impossible to put the phone on charge, and still be able to use, whilst in the holder, due to the breadth of the Sony Ericsson, although the holder can be used if only for charging adaptor. A pity, really , as the holder does operate in a good mechanical function and will probably be almost perfect for conventional shaped phones, compact and most affordable when you compare with manufacturers original equipment.

Great solution to charging & mounting mobiles which can be easily fixed & removed. Works well with adjustment for position of socket & holds even large phones well. Reverse mount for holder to increase flexibility would make it even better.

It is a very good piece of kit. The only thing I would say is to think where the gearstick will go especially in a manual. In my Saab this does get in the way of the gear change a little. Otherwise it is perfect.

Not worth the money
I bought one of these in April 2010. The adjustment for the arm has gone very loose and won't stay done up and the lead no longer makes a good connection where it plugs into the round socket on the holder. Poor design, poor quality.

Not as good as it looks
I have found that the car holder , since it is attached to the charger is too low in the care to be of any use. There are various connectors to suit different phones for the charger so these have to be connected to the existing charger wire, and so this connection is fragile and does not always work

Holder and Charger work fine and seem well made. Holder is particularly neat in operation.
Docked one star because The casing on the (very tight fitting) Sony Ericson adaptor came off when removing it from phone, not a major prob but have to squeeze it to keep it together when removing, still happy with purchase and delivery less than 24 hours.

Very useful & exactly as described
The Trailblazer Universal car charger and holder was exactly as described. There are no sticky pads on the product to mark the phone and the it is extremely easy to use and effective. My cigar lighter is in an awkward position in the car being inside the ashtray so I was a little concerned that it wouldn't plug in properly, but the holder is fully positionable and securely grips the phone in any angle desired. Very good value for money.

Looked like a nice bit of kit, but early problem
An easy to fit universal phone charger with the bonus of a USB port to charge a 2nd device - let down by a cable connector which failed after only 2 days - the connector became loose in its housing and slid out of reach so that the cable couldn'yt engage, and just kept falling out. Have ordered a replacement via your freee "collect" scheme - fingers crossed this minor irritant was aa one off.

Good quality
I thought it might be a bit pants quality like those £1 holders from the pound shop, but this is much better quality. The relese button has a soft action like the eject door on an old compact cassette player(remember those)
I use it to charge my mp3 player, the curly wire is smaller than usual phone chargers so it doesn't get tangled or in the way as much.
Overall a very handy charger/holder that is hard to fault.

Fits into cigarette point, but protrudes out so far it is difficult to change gears without hitting the phone,I have hade many cars with the holder being in the same place, so I would think you would have the same problem. At the moment I tried it in my Shogun, same problem. So I have gone back to my old holder. Would not recomend it. Sorry

Theres nothing much to recommend this item. It doesn't live up to its spec at all. The small 90 degree arm that supports the phone cradle can't be moved into a position where you can easilly view the pnone and in any case it almost completely blocks the usb port.
When I tried using my phone with the SatNav running my phone told me it wasn't getting a sufficient charge and to switch to AC Power!!
Pay a bit more and buy a proper charger and cradle is my best advice.

Like a school report, could do better
I bought this for my HTC Desire, the concept is a good one, with the unit plugging directly into the lighter socket however, there are two main concerns, the first being, build quality. When it arrived I was excited to try it out but very disappointed to find that it wouldn't charge my phone, this was because the plug for the lead was faulty in that it was so far into the unit the lead couldn't connect. The second concern is its size, its not small by any means and I found it to protrude too far out so it was difficult (but impossible) to change gears. My car is a Citroen C5 2009 model and the lighter socket is directly in front of the gear lever.
As I said, this unit could has the potential to be a great little device, just a couple of things they need to do better.
Praise though for Mobile Fun, it was returned and a full refund was issued.

Not a bad idea but needs a little more development
For most cars I am sure this gizmo is great. For my Seat Leon however the lighter socket is mounted in such a way that the only method I can use to plug this unit in, means I have to have it sideways. Which isn't too bad but maybe they should include an extension arm or something to give you more flexibility on the vehicles you can use it with as stock. The charger works, the mechanism holds the phone tight so for the price, its a pretty good buy. Just be warey that you might not be able to have it in a convenient position.

Very helpful product. I use my sat nav on my phone which drains the battery. This product not only holds my phone but also charges it, it sometimes takes awhile for the charger to kick in but this hasnt been a problem. I can also charge my work phone as well at the same time.

Does what it says, but slowly.
I bought this to hold & charge my Blackberry. It is quite neat and holds the Balckberry in a good position in my Jaguar X-Type. My only complaint is that it takes a long time to charge the Blackberry. On a journey of 4 hours it will charge it fully but from 50% charge, a journey of 1 hour does not seem to add anything. At least it doesn't lose charge.

Until I had run down my battery whilst using my G1 phone for directions I didn't realise how much I needed car phone charger.
G1 uses battery so quickly anyway so now I don't know how did I manage without it.

After having the device for several weeks I have noticed that although the device works it sometimes needs adjusting to get it to work. The wires need to be jiggled and tweaked to make the connection but this is to be expected in such a reasonably priced device.

Versatile Car charger and holder
I received this Car charger/holder today and it is perfect for use with various sizes of mobiles that I have.
The adjustable jaws grips the phone firmly and having an additional USB port is very useful.
Another bonus is that the various 'tips' supplied with the unit can also be used with my Philips USB mains charger.
Good value.
My brother-in-law wants one to use in his wagon (which is 24-volts) so am off to order another one!

Really good product. Plugs into lighter socket and means you don't need a separate cradle whilst charging your phone.
Just make sure you have enough space above your socket as it sticks up quite a bit.

Had it a week and so far works well with a touch screen phone as it gives you a large display to operate in the car. Charges my HTC fine and doesn't get in the way of gear changes although that might not be the case for every car.

I really like the idea of this charger/holder, however it does not sit comfortably in my car. The phone ends up too close to the handbrake and gear stick and gets in the way. That said, I do like the way it clasps the phone, and having many different adapters is useful.

This is a well designed piece of kit although I would be a little concerned about the ball and socket link arm which might be a little flimsy if not handled with care. It is very adaptable to a variety of positions but take care with the position of the 12volt socket in relation to the gearstick. I have used it in several cars and some gearchanges mean a bash to the phone charger!

Really good quality charger, I like the fact there are no long leads it just plugs straight in to the charger socket. Nice release action and I like the bottom feet to stop the phone dropping out of the charger cradle, there is also the additional USB port to charge other things on which is neat. This product would not charge my ipod touch. I have had 2 of these, the first of which despite charging my phone ok was intermittent when charging my ipod. It either wouldn't work at all or would charge for 5-10 mins and then stop (sometimes with a message on the ipod saying charging not supported with this accessory). I had a replacement ipod adapter and a whole replacement unit which then i could not get to charge at all.
Good product though unless you are using for ipod!

Pretty sturdy compared to other units I've used. Works fine, except for the fact that it won't fit porperly in my car - a Mazda 6! The only way I can mount it is at a 90º angle from upright due to the position of the cigar lighter - bottom of the console with a hinged lid that blocks the position required by the phone mount.

Basically a good design but with a couple of flaws in it. I have a Peugeot where the cigar lighter is on the centre console just behind and to the right of the gearstick. Plug this in and it makes changing gear difficult. Also with a Samsung 3510 Genoa the charging point is half way up on the left and so if you are charging in the cradle the phone doesn't fit fully in because the charger lead is sticking out on the left hand side. Fits my wife's car a treat with a normal mounted cigar lighter.

Good holder - not for all cars
This is overall a good holder which would suit a wide range of vehicles. Can't speak for all cars, but I'd advise Audi TT (mk2) owners to look for a vent mount though, as there's not quite enough room for this holder above the gear stick.

I bought this product about 2 months ago and I must say it is a good product charges your phone up and mp3 player while driving so you can listen to music while driving the only downfall is that if you have a mazda3 it gets in the way of the gear stick and where you plug it in it is hard to see who is calling you

Within 2 days it stopped working, the light lit up but it did not charge the phone and after using my charger at home I realised it was this. Also the USB port is in the way if power supply is located horizontal rather than vertical

Good with some reservations
Works well as charger with my HTC HD mini. A bit wobbly when driving and doesn't easily change position - have to keep unscrewing and screwing up the lock-nut. Not stable in the landscape position which does limit it's use when mobile phone is in sat nav mode. Overall good value for money though and avoids having to us an air-vent or make round circular marks all over the windscreen from the sucker-type holders.

Right! this product is great, I own a Samsung wave and it's a perfect fit.It's fully adjustable and can be tilted in any direction to give you perfect visibility, it also comes with every adaptor known to man so I'm sure it will fit almost every phone meaning that you won't need to buy another phone holder/charger. Mobile fun's service was unbeatable too! order made on Thursday item arrived on Friday! GREAT ALL-ROUND!

Seemed like a good idea
Bought this to charge a HTC Desire in my BMW 6 series. It only just fits, although I drive an Auto, and a manual (stick shift) is likely to have not fitted.
The design appears to be missing a ball joint on the "holder to arm" piece, in addition to the "cigarette lighter to arm" piece - so it will only rotate within the ball socket on the lighter adapter, meaning you can't get it in landscape mode, or rotate the device out of the way of the car controls.
Nevertheless - I used it to charge on a long journey, and (I don't know if this is true for all chargers?) - but it can't charge a Desire that's in use using sat nav... the battery drained after around 3 hours or so.....
To top it off - the unit failed completely after around 5 hours, and I threw it in the bin... :-(
Good job it was only 12 or so quid.... I'll be ordering a Brodit now - like I knew I should have done in the first place ....

Received the parcel day after ordering....usual excellent service from MobFun.
Tricky to install into my Peugeot 407 SW. I eventually found the best orientation for the phone holder, unfortunately it blocks access to the passenger climate control for their side of the car.
The main downside for me with this device is that I cannot charge my Nokia 6230i mobile. No adapter for this phone despite it being probably the most used Nokia charger size around.
I am using the phone with a Sony Ericsson HCB-150 Bluetooth Car Speakerphone, also from MobFun. This is a brilliant piece of kit for the money.
All in all a good handsfree setup now, but totally let down that I cannot charge the phone from the TrailBlazer.

useful but....
Great holder but doesn't have a big enough range of adjustment for all cars. I have mkII c5 and have had to modify the bracket by cutting and re-sticking with epoxy to set the right angle. Now a perfect custom fit though.
The charger only produces 500mA max so won't charge most phones rapidly. Takes a few hours to charge my HTC desire which charges much quicker with a mains charger.
However it holds the phone well and with connections for most phones (mini USB, micro USB, Sony Ericsson, Apple, mini Nokia and a couple of others I don't recognise) it's pretty universal.
Still a really useful gadget despite the effort required to get it set up right.

Unlike most car kit, this one remain close to the power source, therefore you don't have power cable going between the AC source to your screen.
All adapters are in the box, tested with HTC Desire and Iphone 3GS.

when item first arrived it was faulty followed instructions on internet which were simple and within a few days had a replacement it is great value for money very pleased would order again if need be

Does the job really well.
My Peugeot 307 Sport also has the 12v outlet next to the gear stick but rather than whine about it, I used my brain & fitted a socket adaptor which takes the unit away from the gear stick!!! Simples!!

Disappointment
This product was listed as being compatible with my Vodafone 533 but none of the connectors would fit my phone. I am still waiting for a replacement or a refund. It may be a very good product but I cannot use it.

Good basic product, fits any size & shape mobile phone & plugs easily into your cigarette lighter. However, can be a problem to access your phone depending upon where on your dash your cigarette lighter is located. The swivel ball doesn't rotate a complete 360 degress so positioning the phone holder can be tricky in a mini.

Good sturdy product.
Really sturdy, hold my iphone securely. I have it in my van, which is fairly bumpy round country lanes, and still holds it well. Delivery was fantastic, orderd 5pm and it arrrived next morning! Really pleased all round. Thanks.

iPhone in a Ford Focus - 59 plate
I cant believe that a lot of people gave less than 5 stars because it doesn't fit perfectly in their particular model of car. That's not the devices fault. I found that it fits nicely. Needs to be horizontal because of gears, but 'as we all use a headset when driving now' ........ and most sat nav software works in landscape anyway, i dont see this as a big problem. Great gadget, great price. Oh, arrived next working day as well.

Good holder, not so good car.
I have a 2005 Renault Megane, where the lighter socket is mounted horizontally in front of the gear lever, and using an HTC Desire.
In portrait mode, the phone fits, but if you have the auxiliary cable fitted from the "Update List" head unit, and plugged into the headphone socket, then the unit will foul against the Hazard Light switch, and only landscape mounting will work.
Perhaps if the L-Shaped bracket on the holder was separately hinged, or if the holder could clip onto the ball joint upside down (then you could rotate the whole unit around 360°), it would fix the problem and still retain use of the extra USB port.
Folks with regular in-dash vertically mounted lighter sockets won't have this problem.
Probably still the quickest solution for my car!

Looks cheap, but it does what it says it will. I use it for work, in my van and I therefore happ with it. If I lucky enough to have a fancy motor, I would think twice.

Trailblazer - well, sort of.
I found that the trailblazer was quite a neat unit but it had a few drawbacks;
1. It was an awkward fit in my car as the power socket is recessed in a center console ashtray so I could not get the unit positioned quite as I wanted.
2. As a follow on from point 1, the unit was a bit close when changing gear.
3. When using the SatNav on my Nokia phone the unit fails to charge adequately so after an hour the phone shuts down.
Overall, a decent idea but make sure there is adequate room in your car.

Could be better
You must be very sure before you buy this product that it will fit into the curvatures where sometimes the plug is located. In my MX5 for example the "holder" can only be fitted in a portrait orientation. That along with the huge usb adaptor, limits the motion freedom of the person seating to the left.

Yes, like you (probably) I am sick of spending £'s on crappy bits of plastic. This is better than that, it's good quality, is easy to get in the right position, it stays there (even in my crap old bumpy volvo)it arrived almost before I ordered it as well! Thanks. Recommended if you have also been foolish enough to buy an HTC HD2 (and not a nexus one or iPhone. Why didn't I wait? WHY?!)seriously though, I like my stupid HD2 and am about to order a new case for it from these guys (mobilefun0 JUST TO SEE if it also arrives in double-quick time. thanks.

Good but no good for Astra
Quality of product and speed of delivery good.
Unfortunately this is not suitable for my Astra (08 plate) as the cigarette lighter is too near the dash. Shame as it was just what I was after.

Versatile and great value for money
Given the price, I was expecting something pretty flimsy, but the holder has exceeded my expectation.

This arrived promptly and I was delighted with the neat and tidy mobile holder. Unfortunately however it did not fit into our Nissan Note. I did try an adapter with 3 charging sockets which worked to a point but there was a tendency for the mobile and holder & phone to slip. I seriously considered returning the item but then decided to give it to my daughter. It fits her car nicely.

Not Ideal for my Audi A4 Avant
Conceptually, a good product but my rating is for my vehicle. It grips my Desire really well (with its silicon case or without). However, where the car's cigar lighter is one you depress for it to pop up from the central gear/brake/armrest area, as on my A4, the holder & therefore phone simply don't stay still - they rock backwards and forwards on acceleration and deceleration. A strong elastic band attached to the cigar lighter cover and gearstick works but it's not ideal. Also, the silver surround on the holder's lighter attachment just fell off as I plugged it in and, as my luck was dreadful that day, it's now resting somewhere in the handbrake housing. Oh hum.

beware. lack of power
had this for 2 weks now for my Sony Xperia X10 (awesome) this seems a great idea but there are a few issues.
firstly: the connector is very tempermental and can very easily stop charging the phone if moved slightly
secondly: even if you get the charge connector to stay put, it takes hours and hours to charge. In fact it doesn\'t have enough power to keep up with phone if its on SatNav or making a call. I drove for 2 hours with the SatNav on and on charge a the battery almost died.
Thirdly: the cradle wobbles and sometimes lets the phone slip unless you squeese so tight you feel like your going to crush the phone. NOT recommended for Xperia X10 or similar htc hero, desire etc.
Only good point is the price and good delivery.

It's ok
I got this in the clearance. For the money I got what I paid for, though I wouldn't have been happy if it was the original price.
Overall its ok, it's nothing more or less than you would expect.
My only niggle is that the metal bars on the lighter end stick out a little too much. I can understand this is to allow a better grip to prevent phones from falling out at the worst time. However, combined with the fact one of the pins is badly seated, so that as it's depressed when it's pushed into the lighter, it catches on the body of plug, it makes it much much harder to get into the lighter socket. Taking it out is just as bad, I think I nearly pulled out the whole lighter panel on my dashboard. I don't doubt this can be fixed with a pair of pliers though.
And for reference, fits my HTC Desire just about ok (with a bit of fiddling) portraight/landscape in a 2008 Mazda 3.

Economic Car Charger/Holder
Product was ordered on the Sunday before a Bank Holiday Monday - goods arrived on Wednesday - excellent service. Good value for money as well.
The Trailblazer is an excellent piece of kit. Very solid and extra USB port is very useful. Only small point is that the right hand "arm" partially blocks the power socket for my Blackberry. Need to "jiggle" before it can be used!!

Arrived in less than 2 days but unfortunately it didn't work. Sent back faulty one Saturday and new one arrive Tuesday morning...really good service well done Mobilephone. Product is value for money. If you have an Accord beware it might be a bit close to the gear lever although you can manoeuvre it around to make it more comfortable. I'm happy.
BTW I have a Desire which fits fine.

The actual hold is a fantastic concept but NOT for a Fiat Punto as the cigarette lighter is just too close to the gear stick an interferes with the actual use of the phone which in this case is a HTC Desire. Having to send this back but looking for a holder/ charger that wont mess up fone use. Delivery serice brilliant no problems there an will use again no hesitation .

GREAT BIT OF KIT
Super fast delivery and a very well made charger holder, I got this for my HTC Desire and it fits perfect with no problems. My car has an inset cigarette charger and this holder was very tight to the dash so I have used a twin charger which acts as an extension that brings the holder away from the dash so problem solved.

Its not really suitable for Audi A3 where the cigarette lighter is an inch or so within the dashboard making it a bit tight and only possible to use in landscape mode. It also shakes a bit when driving despite tightening the tightening nut tight!. Id be disappointed if it wasn't so cheap. Also you have to house the HTC lower than you would like due to the position of the volume controls this perhaps add to the shaking while driving. Not bad for 10 quid but not great either.

Great Purchase

Brilliant - Just works!
Can't fault this cradle/charger. Using with an HTC Desire in a Honda Civic ('06 model). Fits the lighter sockets tightly and doesn't get in the way of the gear stick too much.
Has all the charging sockets I'd need for my many gadgets, especially the new micro-USB format used by Jabra and HTC.

Very useful!
I found the holder to be very useful and no long wires dangling aroun. Depending on where your connection point is in your car, the holder may interfere with the gear stick but this is no big deal as this is the best holder/charger I have found.

I'm so upset by this product, I ordered it at about 5 o'clock on Tuesday and it was here before 1 the next day. On top of that, it's incredibly useful and flexible, fits well, holds the phone securely and comes with a range of adapters. I'm now going to expect all web sites to be this efficient and as that's not going to happen, disappointment awaits. I'm so annoyed I'm ordering another one for my car.

Works a Treat with my Blackberry Curve 8900
Been really struggling to find a decent holder/charger for my Blackberry 8900 and only managed to find expensive ones where you need more money than sense to buy them. This little gem is the perfect mix of functionality and price, it holds my phone perfectly, the various adapters means you can charge various makes and models, and the additional USB charger built into the case is a much appreciated bonus, meaning we can charge our iTouch while travelling also! It fits into the cigarette lighter of my 2008 Mondeo nicely and the adjustable neck means you can angle it to suit your viewing or to move it out of the way of the gear stick.
All in all this is a great device that just does the job it was designed to to, with one or 2 added bonuses!

I can safely say that this product ticks all of the boxes.
I was worried that it wouldnt fit my 3 series ac outlet in the ash tray. However, with a little adjustment (you can easily take the ball joint out and change the position of the 'L' shaped bar, it fits perfectly and looks good also.
Great product, iPOD sits very snug, no movement and it charges my phone as well. Fantastic

Fits in a Ford Ka!
I was worried that this wouldn't fit in my Ford Ka. They're not the largest of cars(!), and the cigarette lighter is tucked away. But it's fine, because you can adjust the holder to any angle. bought one of these recently and its by far the best phone holder i have had. the cigerette light plug fits securely, and doesnt wobble, and it holds my iphone very firmly, it even opens up far enough to hold my iphone sideways, so if you have the tomtom satnav application on your 3g/3gs then no need to buy the expensive holder, just buy this as it does the same job, with the added benefit of charging 2 things at once..definately a best buy

Beyond Belief
Ive tried a few of these type before without being impressed. This one however offers some great additions. The stops at the bottom ensure the ohone doesnt slip down, the release mechanism is smoth but reassuring hold the phone in place. Lastly im going to ignore Mobile Funs caomment"Please focus on the item itself", They have suroassed my expectations on communication and delivery... I'll def be usinhg them again... in about 20 mins i think to order a few more things

I needed a charger for my vehicle as my bluetooth hands free kit was draining the battery from my phone. I ordered the charger Mon afternoon and it was delivered with my post the following morning. A great service from MobileFun & Royal Mail. The charger is excellent. I put the correct connector for my phone into the unit & set the cradle to sit correctly within my vehicle. (simple) I managed a full days work using the phone and it was fully charged when I got home. Well worth the money.

Great, but not for Saab 93
Great bit of kit, but if your car has the lighter socket fitted low down on the console behind the gear stick then this isn't the one you want. My '02 Saab 93 does, and once fitted, putting the car in 1st knocks your mobile into the passenger footwell, and skins your knuckles. Great service though

not ideal for N900
Surely a nice little gadget, especially for that price but beware proud N900 owners, this device does not provide enough juice to charge your phone up while it is switched on and would take ages to charge while it is switched off. What you really need is a charger that gives 1200mA like the more expensive Nokia
DC-10, which is about double what this charger does.

fantastic item,at an even more fantastic price,I ordered this item on friday 8/1/10 at 17.15 and received it on saturday morning 9/1/10 I cant believe the service (brilliant) well done mobilefun.

Great idea! The cradle simply plugs into cigarette lighter socket, so no need for suction or other mountings. The cradle jaws adapt to any size or shape of phone and there is a one button 'smooth release' action for easy removal of your phone. Just what I was looking for. Highly recommended. Thanks.
