Second review
I've been using my replacement desktop stand for two weeks now. If you read my previous review immediately below you will see that I bought two of these when I bought my HD2 over a year ago. This replacement for the one that died arrived promptly and works great. I find it very useful to have a fast mains charger, USB PC sync cable and speakers connected all the time. Note it will charge from the PC sync if the mains is not connected which may be useful to you but obviously takes longer. This is a pleasing unit to look at with glossy piano black. You can use the phone when in the dock for everything you would normally do although obviously you need speakers connected to year anything when the phone is in the dock - note that the alarm still sounds anyway which is great as my second cradle is on my bedside table as my clock/alarm at night. Some people have said that the blue LED on the front is too bright but I sleep next to this every night and have never noticed. I rather like the wide blue LED but then I also have the phone screen on the home page showing the time constantly. I guess some people need to have pitch dark but I'm not one of them. As an aside I also have the active Brodit mount in my car so I am never far away from a rapid charge, hence I have never needed a second battery which this desktop cradle will also rapid charge for you. I hope this and my previous review helps you and I again stress that this is still the best desktop cradle/charger available for the HTC HD2 (I do check regularly) despite the need for you to be careful when plugging in and removing the micro USB sync cable which is provided.

Best available despite weak USB connection
I bought two of these when I bought my HD2. One for my office desk and one for my bedside table. The Audio jack gives the phone great stability in the cradle, the mini-USB mains charger gives fast charging and the micro-USB gives data sync to your PC. Plus there's a space for a second battery if you need it. The only complaint I have about this device is that the rear micro-USB connector is just a surface mount soldered socket on the internal circuit board and this snaps off all too easily so care is needed when inserting and removing the PC cable and it will not tollerate any vertical pressure on it. This is not a problem with the mains charger's larger mini-USB socket as it is more substantial. Having said all that, I am about to buy a replacement identical unit because this is by far the best device of this type for the HTC HD2.

Useful gadget--does what it says
If, like me, you like to carry a spare battery for your phone it becomes a complete pain having to take the back off your phone, put the discharged battery in, plug the phone in and then have it tied to a lead for several hours whilst it charges. After that you reverse the procedure when it has charged. So this little gadget is a godsend--it does what it says on the tin--it charges your batteries without having to open up your phone or have it tied to a lead. And you can also put the phone on the cradle and charge that at the same time and/or synch your data too, if you wish. The first one of these I got didn't work, but mobile fun were, as usual, very efficient in getting me a replacement which works beautifully.

Disappointing
Poorly made, very cheap look & feel to this product; this docking station is decidedly underwhelming. Having expected HTC's usual high-standards; the manufacturers of this model are not nearly able to uphold those standards as well. Would not buy again.

The cradle works AOK, is perhaps a bit particular how the phone is put in but otherwise its great. One with built-in speakers would be great

Rubbish thing
The cradle looking nice, but the synchronization socket disappeared into the cradle when I tried to insert the plug. It's rubbish thing, without quality control. Moreover there is not screw to open it and repair. It's rubbish.

deluxe HTC charging cradle
The cradle is great provide a quite stable base holder for the htc hd2. This is my second cradle the first stopped working. I changed my phone holder and due to the difficulty get the phone out the holder hardly use the cradle. Still a well thought out usable piece of kit.

Nice aesthetics but...
Very nice aesthetics, the battery compartment cover is a nice touch. However, I wish the cradle itself had allowed room for a HD2 with a protective cover fitted.

Does the job.
Had to return the first unit as neither the phone charger or sync functions worked. This one charges the phone ok, but the sync is still a bit hit and miss. It holds the phone securely and it is easy to use it in the cradle, all the buttons are accessible .....and despite what some people say, provided you don't lay there at night staring at it, the blue power light is NOT a problem !

Great Product
Great product. does just what i need. A couple of things to the negative.
(1) The indicator light on the unit is big and very bright.
(2)When the HD2 is in the Cradle its not easy to get to the Phone buttons.
On the whole it is worth the money.

It certainly does the job
The product looks good and does the job. The User Guide however is little short of useless. I personally cringe a little everytime I plug my device into or take it out of the Cradle, as the dock into the tiny Connector is so precarious. A guide/slide would have made this operation more positive and less tentative, for me. The blue/red indicator light is too big and too bright. It is also a pity that you can't charge the extended life battery in the Cradle in your Device, but, not the end of the World. In summary, worth the money.

This is a classy piece of kit. Its shiny finish makes it stand out. The covered (spare) battery compartment means that the smooth lines of the cradle are not ruined by the sight of a battery! :)

Deluxe HTC HD2 Desktop Charging Cradle.
Great product.
Looks good on the table & the HTC HD2 fits well. I haven't tested the synchronisation features of it yet.
Delivery was very quick: I ordered in the afternoon & it was received the next day!

Just the job
Pretty much does what it says and looks great!
It has room to charge a second battery and unlike all the other docks I looked at, this one will accomodate the larger extended life battery both in the second charging slot and whilst connected to the phone.
On the minus side, the built in headphone connector means your phone is mute unless you connect it to an external speaker.

Works Nicely
This product is very nicely packaged. My HTC HD2 is very at home in this cradle. There's a bright blue light on the unit near the front to be aware of, aside from that the aesthetics are very pleasing. The feel to the product is somewhat 'cheap plastic' but since I don't really handle this product often (i.e. it just sits there) this doesn't really matter. I haven't used the extra battery charger slot yet, but plan to when I buy a spare.

The Good:
compact unit works OK;
overall unit is compact;
3 ports on back (micro-usb data sync, 3.5 audio out, mini usb power)are well made; dock holds HD2 firmly;extra-battery bay is OK.
The Niggles:
Led charging indicator is too large and bight. Had to put black tape over most of light. The hinge on the extra-battery bay door seems a little rickety but should last if handled carefully.

Cracking dock
Really like the build of this and the bonus of having an audio out when my phone is docked. Only one down side is that if the charger is plugged in and the dock is plugged into my PC, it prevents my machine from booting up until I have unplugged the USB or charger...

HD2 Desk Cradle
At first I was a little concerned about the cradle with two inserts for the base of the phone. I did wonder how easy it would be to place and remove the handset without damaging the sync and audio inputs. They are very well seated and at a logical angle so as not to encourage a poorly directed forced seating of the phone.
The finish of the surface sits really well with the handset - achieving the desired effect of being made for one another.
The blue light which indicates the existence of a charger is a little annoying and would be better if it stayed off until being used.
Not having a spare battery yet I haven't used the spare charging point but I'm sure it is as good quality as the rest of this unit. A bargain and must have.

Great Purchase
This cradle will not only charge your phone and a spare battery, but you can also plug the item into your HI-FI and play music from you phone if you choose to. It was a pleasant surprise which I use all the time. Well worth the money.

So good, I bought two!
Since I bought two of these I have been asked to write two reviews. My last review was complimentary, and my opinion has not changed. The service from MobileFun was excellent, and as for the product, see my previous review. I should add though that I always buy two desktop charging cradles for whatever phone I use - one for my office, and one for my home office. In other words the fact that I bought two is not in itself an indication of anything other than that it is "good enough". I would add that a desktop charging cradle for an earlier phone - a SOny Ericssson - worked as a "desktop hands free kit" - I could take and recieve calls without picking up the phone, by pressing a button on the cradle and using voice commands. This device is not so smart - or of it is I have not found out how to do it.

Desk Top Charging Cradle for HTC HD2
Whenever I change my phone I always buy two dest-top chargers, one for home the other for work. Not only do they charge the phone and enable me to synchronise, they also save me looking for it amongst the pile of papers that accumulates on my desk. I use Outlook Exchange, so have no need to synchronise. I therefore set my USB connection to function as an external hard disk - it is brilliant in that mode. As for the HTC HD2 Desktop Charging Cradle, this is beautifully designed in highly polished black plastic, and has a bay for a spare battery. I have not yert decided whether I need a spare battery. With a cradle at home and office the main phone battery is usually fully topped up anyway. Oddly, when you put your HD2 into the cradle you simultaneously connect the USB, as expected, AND the audio-out, since there is a min jack plug in the cradle. This does give more support, and probably means you can play your music through your PC should you so wish. I don't know if you can also take phone calls through the PC speakers/microphone - that would be handy, particularly if you could operate everything through the keyboard. Whether you can or not it's a great charging cradle, which is what I bought it for.

Item took 21 hours from order to delivery - Incredible! First class product when you look at some of them on the net. Can be used with a powered USB and charger included is not necessary if connected to the computer.Fab!

This is a great product, sleek design and holds the HTC HD2 firmly in place. Comes with an additional charger too. There is also space to charge another battery.
Seervice from mobilefun was Excellent - ordered 5pm Monday and was delivered Tuesday am! Kept up to date with emails regarding dispatch too.

This is a quality product if the highest standard , i have bought a more expensive one and it certainly doesn't match up to this one.I am really happy with the build quality and it looks really good aswell and is a far superior charger compared to my other ( more expensive ) one.Don't be fooled by the price of other ones , expensive isn't always better , especially in this case This is the bees knees for the HTC HD2.

Great Product
I bought as it ticked all the boxes and I can report that it looks and works exactly as expected. It's well made, holds the HD2 at just the right angle and the charging light for the internal and external battery is clear. It came with all the necessary cables and a little tab to help lift the battery compartment is a nice touch. The only thing I can criticise, is that I need to remove the HD2 from it's leather case to fit in the dock, but all docking stations suffer from this, so it still rates 5 stars.

Essential Kit for your HD2
Even a moderate user of a pocket pc will know the frustration of a flat battery. This cradle will end this. Not only does this cradle charge the phone, it will also charge a second battery either on its own or at the same time as the phone. It has a micro USB socket on the back, and comes with a lead to dock with your computer. A 3.5mm audio socket is also handy if you wish to use the phones media player through your HiFi. It is glossy black and nicely built with a large blue led bar that indicates power on, but changes to red to show second battery fully charged. It holds the phone firmly at a nice viewing angle, and is quite stable.

Delux HTC HD2 cradle was a total let down....
After ordering the cradle, Mobile fun delivered in record time, very good service. The cradle design looked good, and after the basic set up, placed my nice new HD2 into the cradle, it then started to go rapidly down hill! The cradle instantly made my HD2 crash, the Tuner on the reciever the audio output was linked to would only produce white noise when the cradle was charging, there was clearly something very wrong with this cradle. (The phone works perfectly with standard HTC charger and 3.5mm jack to Phono pluged into reciever) I Reset HD2 and checked all connections but same problem happend again. Mobile Fun refunded without a problem, (have used them before for other products, all good) - but am reluctant to try another cradle as I like my phone, and do not want to Kill It!!

Great Cradle
Excellent service from Mobile Fun. Ordered after 3pm and still recieved item next day.
Cradle works like a dream just plug and play.
Feels well made and securely holds the HD2 in place. USB was detected immediately and syncronised without any problems straight away.

Great product. smart looking.
Only gripe is that when phone is on dock you have to have speakers plugged in to hear music. (that is the phones problem and not the dock). i easily opened the dock and placed jack in the base out of the way. can now use phone speaker and charge. can easily place jack back if i want.
Very fast delivery. Will be ordering another.
