lifesaver
Brilliant little bit of kit. I do a lot of fishing in quite remote places for long periods at a time. Now I have an emergency power supply should I need it. Great peace of mind.

Handy sized charger
A very handy and compact charger battery for any phone using the micro USB plug. Its small size makes it easy to slip into a pocket when travelling.

Handy ... but needs more power
Bought this charger for emergency recharge for my new galaxy s2. Very handy to carry about and easy to use. But only charged my phone battery to 75% starting from 35% full. Still good emergency boost tool!.

Great features, but unfortunately did not work
I love the idea of this device and the lights on the device to give feedback about how charged it was were great, even with a button to check the charge while not charging. Unfortunately it didn't work with by HTC Desire phone so I had to send it back, but the returns procedure was easy and I had Connect+ shop just across the road! Don't know yet if it was a compatibility issue or a faulty charger.

Micro USB charger review
Bought this charger purely for convenience, an official HTC battery wasn't much more expensive but do I want to remove my Desire from its case, fiddle around and remove the Desires case to get at the battery? No, not really. This charger is maybe a little cheap in construction and it's a shame that fitting it to the HTC Desire (standard, not HD or other) means that you have to lay the phone on its face due to the angle that the charger is placed at to charge the Desire. Now to be fair this isn't a fault with the charger. My son has an Orange San Francisco and the charger fits the correct way around and means that the phone can be laid on a surface flat and you can see easily the charger status aswell as acess the phones features. Not so with the Desire, you have to install the charger back to front and it's angled too due to the build of the Desires charging port. That said, it does charge the phone just fine. I experimented with this yesterday. I totally flattened the battery on my Desire and then charged the phone up with this device totally fully charged and the Desire turned off throughout. I got a 55% charge from this device before it gave up the ghost. It took just short of 2 hours to achieve that. All in all, it's useful for quick boosts if you use your Desire (or other phone) heavily. I'm happy with my purchase, it's useful to keep my Desire going under the heaviest of surfing sessions and whatnot but I'm sure that I could live without it too. Knowing what I know now, would I buy it? Yes. I'm the sort of person that prefers to keep my phone as near to full capacity as I can and I panic if I dip below about 40%. This tool ensures that I can stay near fully charged for far longer than is normal and for the price it's a worthy addition.

Useful
The product arrived in good time, as promised and looked reasonable although connecting it to the device was initially troublesome. However, given that the ad said it was suitable for an HTC Desire I perservered and it did work! However, thought the price was a bit high, but then ebay wasn't any cheaper! Still it could prove invaluable when travelling.

Functional if it doesn't break
I bought this item a few months ago and it's quite convenient to carry around. It is, however, rather cheap: for example it fits only clumsily and if you want to make a call with it attached you have to be very attentive in your handling. The problem, at least with mine, is that after maybe 10 charges the micro-usb socket detached from the charger, making it effectively unusable. In short: convenient but cheap.

Poor quality but works.
When this arrived, I was disappointed by the quality. It looks and feels very cheap. Despite this, it works very well...so far!

Does it's job but capacity less than battery
Although it's specification is 1,500 mAh it fails to fully charge the original HTC battery rated 1,200 mAh so a little disappointing but appears to hold its charge and is very convenient to carry round and top up in the car.

Excellent piece of kit!
I thought, spare battery for my new phone, great BUT charging is a problem, so is swapping it over. This brilliant device does away with both those probs. It can charge from any USB slot (powered) and keep it in the car / office / brief-case. If your battery is running low this device will boost it BACK TO FULL, no hassle, just plug-and-play!
