ToughGuard Shell For Nokia N97 Mini

Good quality hard case still in one piece, have tried 2 clear cases previously and managed to break them both, guess that's why I need the case!

This is my third case in as many months! Need I say more?

Fitted well, allows full access to all switches. A bit brittle, snapped easily but did the job of protecting the phone! glued back together, so still working ok.

Great easy to fit product really does not spoil the look of the phone like some others.

I've read the comments before ordering the Toughguard Shell and knew I should handle it carefully (which is kind of ironic since you are buying a product that's supposed to offer protection). Anyhow, after 2 months of use, the top part snapped off. As mentioned before, this thing hangs on the phone with very tiny and delicate clips. I am sure any kind of drop would break them clean off. In my case, I haven't dropped the phone even once. The clips snapped while my friend was opening the keyboard. He was trying the phone and pushed the top part a bit too fast and the Tough(!)guard clip snapped. Mind you, there was no damage on the mechanism of the N97 Mini. Which means the action was within N97's design parameters. Last week I ordered the InvisibleShield. Hope that does what it says on the box. Because this product needs a protection for itself, that defies the purpose and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Having seen the above-titled review I have had to remove and refit the case quite a number times (eg to take the battery out for a hard reset!) but have done it very carefully, and have had no problems with the vulnerable retaining clips.

I cannot imagine managing without this (plus a screen cover). For a modest outlay, my phone is protected from bumps and scratches. It fits well, doesn't impede the device opening, and looks great. Only minus (trivial) is that the controls around the phone's edges (vol/zoom buttons, keyboard lock/unlock slider, camera shutter key) are a little less easy to access, but this is a small price to pay for keeping the phone protected.

This case is nice when its on but it lasted 5 days until the front part snapped off. it has these little clips to hold it on and they are very easy to snap. the back is still on my phone though, so basically once its on dont take it off again.

Brilliant case, really adds to the sleekness of the Nokia N97 mini
