Holds Well
This product is deceptively good,if a bit pricey. I was disappointed at first look, but after using for some time find it works well. The only addition I would make is a telescopic arm to change viewing distance.

Good purchase

Upgrade your car kit, and buy this!
This state of the art and dependable mobile phone holder looks the part and does the job. It will not shake about in your car like some others on the market. Easy to use, extremely stylish and very good value.

HTC HD2 Car Upgrade Kit - CU S400
I only wish I had known about this sooner. Easy to use and robust and even looks good. Definately worth the extra money. The cable that comes with it, is probably double the length of other usb cable. So there is no problem with reaching your phone. The navipanel launches as said but it does require a fix which can be found in xda forums.

HTC HD2 Car Upgrade Kit - CU S400
This is a great piece of kit. It looks good, and works well. The price is high but don't forget it includes the in-car. You get a long charging cable, which, if you have a big car, gives you some flexibility of where you might route the cable. In my case it is far longer than needed, as I can actually mount it behind the dash and up through the ashtray. A cautionary note though: because you have to twist the unit through 90 degrees to mount and remove it, be sure - if you route the cable in some "clever" way like I did - that you either leave enough slack for this 90 degree turn OR unplug the cable before turning. Otherwise you will pull the head off the cable, like I did.

Excellent kit
Installed the kit no problem, and it works exactly as advertised. A nice touch is that the power lead is actually long enough to run neatly.

HTC HD2 Car Upgrade Kit - CU S400
A long time in the making but worth the wait - I have used other phone holders whilst I was waiting for this one to arrive - this exceeds my expectations in terms of quality and stability when driving - also recognises the phone and switches it to sat nav mode - found it a bit fidly to get the holder exactly where I wanted it (bottom right hand corner of dash) and it fell off a couple of times - it seems very secure now and wouldn't be without it.

Good but not without design mistakes.
Took an eternity for HTC to replace their HD2 car holder with this update. The build quality is very good & it doesn't look bad or bulky on your dash or window. It is supplied with a high quality car charger, the usb cable detaches from the cigarette plug body if required yet holds firm if not. Also supplied is a self adhesive backed pad so you can attach the holder suction cup to flat surfaces other than your window glass. The power cable socket is well situated on the cup ring, the plug that fits into your phone is spring loaded (looks bent in rest position, insert with care !) and has a switchable postition to suit other models of phone. On the negative side it can be fiddly at first to attach where you want. It requires a ring to be pressed towards the window while rotating to lock the suction cup. This can result in a few failed attempts at first yet gets better with time. Though fiddly, this mechanism probably results in a strong, lasting grip on your window. Does your phone have a protective case/skin ?, you will have to remove it as there is no room for anything but the phone. That goes for a HD2 extended battery too, there seems no way it will fit as the back plate is flat with no cut-outs for the battery bulge <sigh>, can not be modified either. Time will tell if the spring loaded plug that connects to the phone will overly wear the socket. Would have had only 2 stars but for the high build quality and I'm also pleased with the charger. Regards

Excellent, but expensive
As you would expect from an original HTC accessory, this is very high quality. It is pretty good looking, works exceptionally well and the automatic switching to the Navipanel is brilliant. Unfortunately, a Rolls Royce product has a Rolls Royce price. In my opinion it is too expensive so 4 stars, but if you want the best holder for your HD2, this is the one to get.
