ToughGuard Shell For HTC Hero - White

I had a similar experience. I had already dropped and scratched the phone after removing it from a sleeve case I was using temporarily until finding this. I bought 2 online, and happened to chance upon one at a shop in Fulham, London, before my order arrived. So in the in I had three. one white, one clear and one black. However careful, you try to be, there is little chance of removing this case without breaking it. I have now spent UK£40 on cases for this phone. I recommend a cover which is very similar to this, which is T-mobile branded, and available intermitently in T--mobile stores. I't just like the Toughgurard but much better build and is also £4 cheaper. I tis designed for the T-mobile HTC G2, but fits the (almost?) identical HERO.

I bought the black version of this for my Hero a few months ago and all was going well - it fits perfectly around the phone, it feels solid enough to protect it if dropped and doesn't interfere too much with the workings. It's really good value for money, BUT... Because of the raised edges of the protector, it can cause you to miss the outside selections on the keyboard and makes sweeping sideways a bit awkward. Those are minor annoyances though, compared to what happens when you try to remove the thing... There are 5 clips that hold the 2 halves together, and 3 of them snapped clean off when I tried to take it off. So now, I need to buy another case - and it won't be this one. Shame really.
