Ronseal - it does what it says on the tin.
Can't complain - it is more impressive that I thought it would be, and with the HTC ROM upgrade (and hopefully forthcoming port of Android 1.6) is well worth it. CoPilot makes it an extremely good SatNav replacement! Battery life is (so far) my only complaint!

Amazing piece of kit
This is a great device for all your organisational needs. Handset build quality is excellent and the user interface is great. Absolutely no regrets about getting this phone. It more than exceeded my expectations and its one of those devices you cant put down. ROM update definately make a difference to performance so update if you get this phone. Camera and Video recording not the best in the business but more than acceptable results. There really isnt anything to complain about with this phone. User interface takes a few days to get used to but after that it is very easy to navigate around. The Android apps are also very useful and are mostly free to download. Overall a great phone with very cool and polished user interface.

On reflection ...
Not sure if I can post a second review on the same handset but here goes. Despite my previous review saying that, for me, it was too customisable, well yes, it is almost infinitely customisable but that has to be a good thing right? I am now able to compare it to my iPhone 3GS and that just drives me potty. The iPhone is just far too restrictive in terms of running applications, you cannot simply jump from one to the other when the mood takes you - you are always taken back to the home screen which is very annoying. I love the notifications on the Hero as all you have to do is select the specific notification and it takes you right there, like if you have a new email it will take you directly to the message as opposed to the email account. I've had a little time to play with this beauty now and downloaded lots of very useful apps etc (make sure you update the ROM/firmware) when you first get yours and it s a great bit of kit, certainly won't be sending it back to the peeps here! Go for it!

Lovely little handset but too customisable for me!
Great little handset have had a play for a while with a friends handset though I did buy one from the lovely chaps here exceptionally fast delivery as always thanks MF and it s a great little handset you can do so much with it almost too much even for me I like to have a handset that you can customise to your own preference but even though I love my toys and am quite gadget literate if there is such a term I think this is just a little too much for me It looks very sleek and the screen is very clear It does appear to be a little laggy buggy but perhaps that will improve with ROM updates Be aware that you CANNOT use this phone with the Macintosh platform at all it is only PC compatible Windoze XP and up as far as I m aware I will have a long serious think about whether I should keep the handset I ve not actually done anything with mine yet but may have to return as it s pointless having a phone that you won t benefit from all the features from.
