Nice idea, shame it breaks easily
I liked this a LOT when I first got it - seemed tough and fitted the phone much better than competing products.
Unfortunately the plastic clips securing the case to the phone broke in a matter of weeks, so it's no longer any use.
Shame as, whilst it lasted, it was quite the best of it's kind that I've seen

indifferent feeling
The toughguard does make the sony W995 better looking, and its remarkably easy to carry on texting and using the keypad.
I have however found the front on several occasions separated from the phone even though i'd taken it off only once to clean the screen..... its nice but be careful when purchasing.

w995 TtoughGuard Shell review
excellent fit and feel,works well and has saved my w995 after a fall. Biggest problem is that the manufacturer needs to provide better protection of the clear plastic front during shipping. This is my third shell and all had surface scratches upon arrival.

ToughGuard Shell For Sony Ericsson W995
The front clear screen guard isn't the best quality but then it does protect the screen I suppose....and you can still see through it clearly. I was very impressed at first, and still am to some extent. However, like Jane's (in a previous review), I also had mine just two weeks before my front cover guard broke. I never dropped it so I'm not really sure how it broke, I just took it out my pocket one day, and there it was, broken at the corner by one of the little hook clips. I think perhaps it may have been caused by excess pressure from sitting down when it was in my front jeans pocket. I wouldn't call this a ToughGuard, more a ScratchGaurd. Mind you, I've had a few good comments and they look cool and fit perfectly. One thing I would advise, the more you remove the covers (especially the screen cover) the more warn the little hooks get, so make sure it's clean, fit it once and leave it! I'm going to buy another one, give it another chance after all, it's cheaper than a phone repair!

Neat but broke easily
I've had the Toughguard for about two weeks now and today the phone slid out of my hand and dropped gently and not very far on a spongey bathroom floor. That was enough to break the little clips on the smaller part of the case - the part that goes over the screen. Shame because when I got it I was really pleased with it but perhaps its asking a lot to get something tough when it's only got a small surface to cling too. Wondering what to get now?!

Good case
The case fits extremely well and since i have the black W995, the whole thing just looks right.
All the keys around the phone are accessible whilst giving the phone a very well protected feel.
Only thing is that I do think if you take the case off more than a couple of times, i think it would become loose and will need a new one. The whole thing works on the premise that the flaps that snaps round the phone remains strong and tight, when they go, the case becomes loose and no good.
All in all a good purchase and works very well, just as long as you do not have plans to take the case off often.

TtoughGuard shell for W995
The item is excellent value for money, does what it says on the tin, fits the phone perfectly without adding extra bulk to the size of the phone. all phone features are accessable. Bad side: my unit had minor scratches across the screen area, this could be a quality control issue at mobile fun or the actual supplier, but for protecting your phone, you can't beat it...

this case is good because you can open the phone without having to take the case off it all so protects the screen dont need to buy an extra screen protector

Although I was told by Customer Services that this didn't cover the screen, it does in fact do so. This is a definitely advantage but, unfortunately, on arrival this was found to have a nasty scratch across the screen. I am asking for a replacement and hopefully this will be in mint condition, in which case it is defintely a good buy
