Better than expected!
Does more than I ever imagined. I wanted a grown-ups phone without all the games, gizzmo's or touch screen or frustrating predictive text. This is it a 'Misters Phone'. Comes with a 4gb card, upgraded to 16gb. Most of my music fits on, in WMA so as to get 'Album Art' displayed (to display must be done via usb not direct to card although hot swappable). Plays well on blue tooth speakers in full stereo. Video very good too.Keyboard fantastic. Like the torch feature, handy. All other features spot on, email, surfing, camera, even an OCR scanner via camera. The breathing light is cool. The last of the sensible phones?

E72 Problems from new
The phone's interface is generally an improvement on E71 which I have. However, my new E72 failed on two key points right out of the box;
1) SMS texts to groups failed after 4 recipients, no amount of settings changes would fix it and my E71 still works perfectly
2) My E72 dropped calls intermittently when talking in strong signal strength and quality areas, again my E71 does not do this.
I called Nokia, they did a software and hardware reset, the problems did not go away and so on their say so, I took it to the Nokia Care Centre in Swindon.
They found the same fault and have now sent it off to Nokia for me.
As a sim only phone hand set costing £249 pounds this has knocked my confidence in Nokia. Add to this some comments from the Nokia Cake Centre who said they had been getting similar feedback from other E72 users asking for their E71 back from a reliability perspective, Nokia still have some work to do before this is as reliable as the E71 which is still an excellent despite an older interface.
So buyer beware, maybe this was just a Friday phone or perhaps Nokia have a firmware or other software updates to do before it's as stable as the E71 which I am using again now.
Last point, the Ovi suit in my opinion is beta software and the Nokia PC Suite is much better.

Happy!
I previously had a Nokia E71 which was fine and the E72 is an updated and improved version. I am very happy with it as a workhorse that gives me push email and a long battery life. It also has the benefit of using a standard sim which could be transferred in an emergency scenario.

Great update
I had a Nokia E71 before and I had alot of problems with it including it locking up, I know a few people that have had a E71 and had problems aswell, so was not that keen on the idea of having the update model E72. I tried loads of different mobiles and different makes and just couldn't get on with them. Even though I had a lot of tech problems with the E71 it was a phone other wise. So I tried the E72 and have never looked at an other phone since. Nokia have updated it so well, and I admite and I am very picky on the mobile I choose. The camera has gone from 3.2 to 5 mp, the case is easier to open, the covers on the memory card slot and usb cable are more secure, speaker is more stirdily built and nicely placed on the back and the whole phone looks better. Love the the idea of the tourch using the flash I find it very useful and is very strong.
Basically I love the Nokia E72 and would recommend it to anyone.

E72
Excellent service, arrived in sealed box with full manuals, charger and Nokia phone case. After inserting vodafone sim new settings for MMS and WAP were texted automatically. Note on first starting the password required is that from your old sim card not the default 12345 in the manual! Set up of Exchange 2007 email using NHSnet was easy and is working extremely well keeping calendar, contacts and email syncronised with my 3 desktops. Battery life a big improvement on the N95-8gb. Wireless performance also much improved connection stable and quick. Quick Office enables viewing and editing of MS Office 2007 docs. Camera performance good on par with N95.
Only improvements would be possibly the key board could do with being fractionally bigger as could display but then the size of this phone is one of its attractions it really is small and fits neatly into pockets. In summary everything I'd been led to believe and its not an iPhone.

NOKIA E72
I was hoping that this version would not have the E71s problem of freezing up, how wrong I am. Given that, it is a much advanced version I just hope a software update will sort out the frozen screen problems
