Nokia N97 Carry Pouch - Black

Nice snug fit for my N97. I'm not getting the "magnet" problem that some earlier reviewers have suffered from so I'm assuming this has been addressed by the manufacturer. My only gripe with this case is that there's no "quick release" way of fixing it on your belt. You have to take the belt off, thread through the loop on the case, then thread back through the loops on your trousers. Not ideal in this day and age where a pop stud or a bit of velcro would have solved that problem.

Hey I experienced the same problem. the magnet automaticaly opens my camera application. i stoppped using this as it might have a very bad effect on the phone in the long run

This case is a great fit and the belt fixing is a loop so no flying off your belt when you sit down as happens with some other cases. However, the magnet closure imparts a strong magnetic field within the mobile phone. The problem is that when you withdraw the phone from the case it passes through the magnetic field and your N97 may be in any number of states with any of the application opening screens looking at you. There is no screening within the case and this is a serious flaw. You can reduce the effect by placing the phone in the case battery side out but given that the N97 also has an inbuilt compass I do not know what the long term effects will be. I have cut out my magnets and replaced them with velco (hook & loop pads) this gives me a great case that has no adverse effect on the N97. If it wasn't for the magnets I would have given it 4 stars as I have seen better quality cases but for the price it is good.
