Just what it says!! Good quality headphones!
The quality of sound is good, much better than cheap head phones bough on e-bay. ( I bought headphones for 7 pound and quality was quite bad)
the mic works fine. I believe is a good value for money. I recommend it.

Not quite what I wanted
As I drive a lot, I have my HTC in a cradle mounted on the fresh air vents and used the hands free headphones that came with the phone, but I found the length of the headphone cable supplied was a little short. I purchased this item hoping to lengthen the lead, but found it to be exactly the same, so although the item is good and does what it says I feel it would have been helpful if the length of the cable was given in the initial description. Also a bit expensive for what you get and you don't really need the extra headphones supplied.

Does the job
This adapter is very good,it allows you to use your own headphones and answer calls as well. You can even connect to your stereo amplifier.

Exactly what you need
This is the microphone handsfree adapter that lets you use your own headphones, rather than the horrid 'bud' type that are often bundlled with smartphones.
I use this official HTC adapter with my Desire and my Sony noise-cancelling headphones on the daily commute, but now I don't have to unplug to 'answer the phone'. Quite hard to get - even on tottenham court road!

Expensive but nice.
I wanted something to allow me to use my sony earbuds with my HTC desire and still have access to a microphone etc in case a call comes in.
I bought an adaptor off ebay for about 5 quid, but it was complete rubbish. The HTC adaptor cable was excellent - nicely built, good quality cable, button on the mic to talk.
Frankly, I just wanted the adaptor/mic bit, but you get a pair of earbuds as well. However they are the large ones which sit in your outer year, and I like the small rubber ones that fit inside.
HAd them for 2-3 weeks, and very happy.
Would have been 5 stars if could buy adaptor on its own.

Use your own head phones in HTC Desire
Hands free kit with wire. Use your own headphones for music and calls.
Comes with ear buds, bud I use my own stero headphones in 3.5mm jack. Use in my HTC Desire as a hand free kit, have bought cheaper rubbish off Ebay, but this is genuine product and you can tell by the quality, person im speaking too as no idea they were on a handsfree kit, buy cheap buy twice and thats what I did, whis i just bought this one to begine with, deff worth the extra few quid. I have seen people moan that there is no media controls on it, but this is something I have never used as phone is in my hand anyway, i dont see the need...
P.S ordered 5pm thursday, turned up first thing Friday, Top marks all round.

Whats the point!
For standard phone calls the supplied headset is sufficient and has full audio controls when listening to music. You would have expected a product such as this providing higher fidelity music listening via your own headphones would provide music controls !!!
I really don't see the point, what were HTC thinking?

Does what's needed
Works decently with my headphones and allows control of call answering. Doesn't control audio playback (using media player at least) - pause, stop, volume etc. - except automatically when receiving a call.
