works great
Other reviewers have questioned the effectiveness of this antenna, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I have a vodafone badged huawei k4511 dongle and where I am working, I was really struggling for a decent signal. Usually got a very flaky gprs (green led) and not a chance of a g3 (blue led) signal. I've been using this antenna clipped onto the back of my laptop screen all morning, and got a g3 (blue led) signal steady all morning. For me, it works as described. Better signal and more reliable connection. Will be recommending to my colleagues who have the same dongle reception problems.

Actually works!
I honestly thought when I saw this gadget that it wouldn't work! And I also thought that when I saw the other reviews on it that they were probably fakes just to get you to buy it! BUT, IT ACTUALLY WORKS! unbelievable! I usually only get GPRS signal in my house and is very slow for my laptop when I'm using the Internet but once I bought this aerial and a 3G ROUTER, plugged my dongle into the router and plugged my new antenna into the dongle, it's now superb! Get near full 3G signal and Internet surfing is quality again! HIGHLY RECOMMEND GETTIN THIS IF YOU HAVE POOR SIGNAL!- ACTUALLY WORKS!!!

Useful performance boost
I use this aerial for travelling on the train with an 02 dongle. I still get dead spots, but it has improved the overall experience of using a broadband dongle from marginally beneficial to OK. So for the money a worthwhile investment. Lead is a bit short, but it clips handily to the safety notes on an intercity 125. Service from Mobilefun was prompt and painless.

Just what I wanted
The antenna was sold at a reasonable price and did exactly what I wanted - to boost the O2 signal in low reception areas.

Basic facts
Get real. This aerial provides just 2db of gain. In a decent area of reception you'd get 40+db of signal. so 2dB is a really really small improvement.
There are other aerials that add ~7db or even more but these need to attach via a metal connector to your dongle. So go for one of those if you can.
Ultimately if you need higher gain, buy a dongle that has one of these screw on connectors and put your sim in that.
Alternately get a USB extension lead and put your dongle on a nearby window sill and use the extension cable to attach it to your PC.
You can't beat the laws of physics.
Radio waves need a decent length of wire!

Clip Antenna for Huawei USB Modems
I have found the clip attenna to of no use in improving my signal at all either in3G or GPRS I feel it is because I live in a totally dead area between 2 masts I am with Vodaphone, when I get a good signal by driving my car nearer to a mast rhe aerial has not given me what I was hoping for. I still feel the product is good but will depend on where you are in the country.

Antenna does'nt work.
I have just received the clip antenna for my Hauwei USB modem, plugged it in, and now I have NO signal. It's worst than not having it at all. I get frozen web pages, no upload or download. But when I unplug it, the signal returns. Either it's damaged, or just not what it says it is.

hmm this didnt work 4 me as a booster i guess too far from cell plus flat sit in strange place??? nearest 2100mhz cell 2miles at 24dbw :o( will try outside booster...

My dongle connection was very slow and this antenna is a great help,still not as fast as it could be but much better as was. Good little item. Would recommend with no hesitation.

RECEPTION IMPROVEMENT
You get an even better signal improvement with the Mobile Broadband Antenna, if you place the aerial on a windowsill and connect using a USB extension lead.

Just not worth the price tag
I bought this item a while ago so have had time to assess it, i bought it on the strength of the positive reviews. Personally i wish i had wasted my money and have in fact banished it to the junk room. It made absolutely no difference to my conection, where i get a 2/3 bars signal on my dongler it stayed at 2/3 bars connection wasnt stronger or made any faster. Where i have a 1/2 bars which frequently drops off to nothing then comes back the aeriel booster again did nothing to maintain the signal or improve its strength. Had this item been £5 to £10 i wouldnt be so bothered but at £25, I have to say its close to being a rip off.
Dispite all the positive reviews I'd avoid, i honestly believe the people that say they got a better signal would have got that anyway had they removed the aeriel.

Misleading and Crap
Right, first of all, do not waste your money on this piece of crap!!
i get 1 bar of crappy 3g signal in milton keynes without the dongle, and guess what ....... i get 1 bar of crappy 3g signal with the antenna plugged in. its just been one disapointment after another with 3g or anything product to do with it. was thinking of getting the high gain more power full device, but seeing as i had absolutley no improvement what so ever with this clip on antenna, im not guna bother. its just a flimsy piece of thin plastic that looks like it probably cost £5 to make, and this webiste is very misleading. its not a booster at all, it simply gives you a more stable connection. so now i have a more stable 1 bar crappy connection .... not what i wanted at all. honestly, dont buy this. i read the reviews and thought there was enough good reviews to give it a go but honestly its just rubbish. very very disapointed.
do waste your money, im returning it asap, and will be advising anyone and everyone i know to steer clear of this cone!!!!!!!!!

improved signal in the deep forest
The antenna improved the signal from none at all to aprox 0,2 MB. Not impressive, but just enough. Without a signal there would have been no competition (athletic race) as we are depending on online acces to database and online server for generating live results.

Plug in and away you go. Good quality item. Instant improvement in signal. Previously had to place dongle outside window to get intermittent reception. Now happily watching youtube videos with dongle inside room. My friends have tried it and will be ordering soon.

really dose work
this really dose work a have a 3 dongle pluged it in and it worked a wasent to sure at first but a haonly one bar now have 2 and sumtimes 3 and now a can kill people on cod4 and dont have to worry about lagg thanx mobilefun and came super fast to

Very poor
Did not improve my signal strength on network 3 by one increment. I do not recommend this product to anyone, waste of money, just a gimmick.

Not good
I'm in a basement flat in central London and only usually have one bar signal. This dongle doesn't improve the bars at all and pages are still very slow. When I sit in the courtyard it doesn't get better either, but improves a lot when on street level (which doesn't really fix my problem). I think the issue is 3 itself!

Might be worth trying our High Gain antennas, which can be mounted elsewhere (i.e. Street Level) and then an extension cable to your basement flat.

No GOOD
Spent £30 on a O2 Paygo dongle, £15 credit and just spent £26.97 on a clip antenna that does NOT work. I get a GPRS on a fairly strong signal, thought it might click over to 3G for a faster connection but it made NO difference. Complete waste of money in my opinion, Sorry. Any Refunds?????

The antenna is ok it looks a bit cheap but feels well made the wire is very short.
Its made little difference to my connection when indoors or in built up areas but when it does get a good signal it seams to load web pages a lot quicker than the dongle on its own.
I think signal issues are due to the 3 network til that improves you wont get a good signal.

After jut receiving this, I have to say I did not see an improvement in the signal at all.
With the 3Connect program, I usually get 3 bars. With the antenna I still get 3, every now and again, I sometimes get 4.
This test was based on testing on the ground floor of my house near a window.
I'm sure the signal "may" be better enhanced upstairs, but that's not the point is it.

Mixed signal
I was in a poor reception area only getting up to 200 kbp/s. Tried this device and reduced signal by half?
Have used it in places with much better reception and boosted by up to 1mb. Hence a mixed review as it does work but not in the location I needed it to work the most.

i ordered the clip antenna for huawei usb modems, yesterday just before 6:00pm.it came through the post this morning! it took that long to order it online! my signal was very low to low at best, now

does it's job well
If you have mobile broadband then this item is an essential purchase. While not perfect, it does remove some of the hair pulling frustration involved with getting a reliable mobile broadband connection.I would recommend getting one from mobile fun as I found them to be easy to deal with and provide great service and communication.

Fab! BUT use with E160G NOT MF627
Great signal booster. Our very bad connection/signal now 100% consistent, Skype clearer and at least 2 computers can now be used together.
HOWEVER, this is NOT compatible with the PAYG Mobile Broadband dongle from 3 (the MF627) as there is no CRC9 connection. Instead, the E160G dongle IS compatible and has the right connection. A great deal all round! Thanks guys, good service too :)

Service from MobileFun was excellent - got txt message when product was shipped and received product within 24 hours of ordering !!
The antenna works well. It hasn't improved my signal strength (suppose 3 Network needs to help there) but what it has given me is a much more stable connection. My connection speed has also improved. Before buying this, i was loosing my sanity with my 3 Connection, where I would have to fight with it for an hour to get a connection - with the antenna I get a connection almost every time on first attempt.

My 02 mobile broadband was a bit flakey and kept dropping out. The arial made an instant improvement and I'm now browsing at consistently higher speeds than before. Well worth the money

clip antenna gives good performance!
i recently purchased a clip antenna for my 3 usb modem and it has given me better signal strength and faster download speeds,although the quality is'nt as good as i expected i am very happy with it's performance and was well worth buying !!!!!!!!!

Worth it
Took the plunge and placed a order at 5pm one day and it arrived the next day A+.
Wired it all up and a immediate improvement in signal strength and speed. Without the antenna (on 3 by the way) was getting 1 - 2 bars and intermittant. Now 3-4 bars and solid signal. A++

Vague improvement
I bought one and it has added an extra signal bar to my 3 modem, but that only means I can get 1 sometimes 2 bars from 10 now. Not the real improvement I was looking for.

Worth Every Penny
Absolutely Brilliant, recently moved house and found it very difficult to get any signal in many room of the house. Was worried it was simply adding more signal bars to the device without any actually increase in connectivity.. but now have faultless connectivity. Fab!. Mobile Fun delivery was fantastic and even got a SMS to tell me that it was despatched! Highly Recommended A+++++

Inproved signal ?
I was having a great deal of difficulty trying to improve my signal strength with this aerial. Unfortunately it's not actually designed to do that, but only to get you a better reception on the move by physically moving reception from the USB port of a laptop to higher up i.e. the top of the screen. If like me, you need to improve a signal the same company makes a different aerial for the job ( W21 ) but I'm not sure if mobile fun stock it!

didn't work
plugged it in and it didn't increase the signal strength no matter where i positioned it. Might have received a faulty one. I'm going to try a more expensive type.
