NOKIA 5800
I have had the phone just over a month. The sat nav has been really useful and accurate. I use it more than my Tom Tom. Don't forget to disable "Assisted GPS" and "Network GPS" if you don't want to incur internet charges when you use it, just takes a bit more time to get a fix. Downloaded Google Maps for satellite and street views, as Ovi Maps don't give this feature even though it is on the menu. You will pay internet charges if you use it. The music player is nowhere near as good as my old Sony Ericsson W810i which had a rich bass. The touch screen has variable sensitivity which can be a little annoying at times but on the whole works fine. WiFi connection useful and quick and good e-mail access. Camera adequate and battery life ok. So far very pleased.

Great phone, 5 stars. See other comments on this page.
Be aware that you may receive a phone that does not have a generic Nokia code (as I have) and any firmware updates will not be available until a number of weeks (months) after release and may not have full functionality etc.

I love the Nokia 5800 so easy to use, this phone like all Nokia phones, I just plug in charger and play, you soon get use to it. I use phone only as a phone and for texting, cameras good. Noticed reviews have mentioned screen getting scratched and finger prints I bought screen cover and crystal case for this phone all you need to stop screen scratch finger prints and damage to the phone it s self. Don t know about music on this phone but the call sound is very good. The touch screen is good because you can adjust the sensitivity of your touch, love the qwerty key pad makes texting so easy, just use the plectrum or your thumb nail. A key pad lock, Battery life depends on how much you use it. Can’t see screen in sunlight, I’ve never had one I could.

Good touchscreen...
I waited a while to get this phone and wasn't disappointed. There a few niggles like not been great at using your fingers but the stylus is great for input and the 3MP is rubbish these days but for the price it's great!

Excellent
I was using the Samsung i900 Omnia and found it slow and unresponsive. Thankfully the Nokia 5800 is nothing like the Samsung. Top marks to Nokia, if you are looking for an easy to use reliable touchscreen phone look no further.

5800 Music Express O2 sim
I had the N95 1gb before, but did not find it idiot friendly, and it kept freezing. But this baby is fantastic. Feels great, easy to use, features well this phone outdates all others. And the picture when watching videos and t.v. are better than HD. A real winner.

Fantastic!
When I was younger, at school I asked my teacher what was the best report you could get, and he said "a one word report - Fantastic". I've used a number of smart phones and mobiles over the years, and I think the 5800 deserves such a report:
"FANTASTIC!"
Does everything you need it to, and keeps it nice and simply, and with a few things that make you smile along the way. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The Dogz
After years of N series and an E90 I was looking for a change and waiting for the N97 to be released when I noticed a Nokia Rep at a shopping mall playing with the new Nokia 5800. The phone seemed pretty neat with touch screen, 8 gig memory, on board sat nav, music player etc. and then he showed me a movie clip and the screen is fantastic. I said I was waiting for the N97 and he said dont! The N series are overpriced this does everything that does for half the price.
So I ordered one from Mobile fun and next morning it was delivered ( brilliant service once again Mobile Fun Guys). Thie phone is BRILLIANT. I cannot fault it in any way, the touch screen works well in a logical way, the sat nav is faster thean my E90, N95 etc. you dont have to learn how to write again as on HTC phones and PDA's as the handwriting recognition works well. The casing feels a bit plasticy but is very solid with no creaks. I would recommend a screen protector. iPhone pah, all show no go!

Nokia 5800
I bought this sim free after returning an iPhone, I would definitely recommend it, Nokia even know how to make a phone with MMS that you can forward texts on and accept files via bluetooth, all things missing on the iPhone!
As for mobilefun themselves, service is always 1st class, I never look anywhere else, I just rely on these guys, order at 5.55pm and have it next morning, why would I go anywhere else!

Nokia 5800
Well, I was lost for words for the first 5 mintues after opening the box. This phone seriously is the best phone I've ever owned, I thought the N95 was good but this wins. Also it makes the iphone very dull and boring!! So nokia keep up the good work................
