Great product
This is a fantastic product I purchased a vehicle specific mounting bracket and this fitted onto it perfectly.
It has a soft feel and won't damage your iPhone and looks great

Brodit Active Iphone 3GS Holder
Fantastic bit of kit - easy to install, looks nice and solid. Only slight criticism is the cable would benefit from being 6 inches longer.

Four stars
Nineteen quid feels a lot to pay for a piece of bent plastic that as soon as it arrives you have to make holes in to attach the phone holder to. But it is bespoke and presumably short-run production. And it does do the job very well.
When the backing plate and tilt and swivel frontpiece are fitted they hold the iPhone snug and secure without needing to permanently mark or glue anything to your car.
I am wondering whether to keep a small screwdriver in the car to tighten the central screw which secures the tilt and swivel mechanism. One gets the feeling that it might become too loose in regular use.
Conclusion: expensive for what you get but cheap and effective for the job it does.

Loving it
This holder fits my iPhone 3gs perfectly. I bought the Brodit ProClip for my make and model of car and this holder screws on perfectly and easily. My phone is now secure, handsfree and visible when driving. Was all done in 10 minutes

Slightly disappointing
I purchased this along with a HTC HD2 version. Plan was to use on my two phones so I could switch on one holder in the car. However the universal holder recommend for this is not a great fit and only comes with attachements for one holder. Therefore I need to buy to holders which defeats the purpose. They need a single holder that will take either. I'm now going to send back and replace with the £5 universal one.

Up and running in 10 minutes
Already had a car kit bracket fitted from a previous phone- the holes on this matched perfectly, does what it says on the tin, sorted.

Iphone Passive Holder
In reply to Andy (Bournemouth) review. You need to purchase and adjustable passive holder rather then the padded holder. The adjustable allows you to insert the phone with its case. The padded one (which you have) is tight fit and does not allow for the iphone in a case.

what a find
Really good product. i spend a lot of time on the road so a car holder is a must and this is the best one as i have a i phone 3g. you will tho need the bracket for the holder to screw into.
the only down side (and it is only one) is that it can't sit in a case as these holders are made to mesure. so if like me you will need a wallet to place your i phone into.
