Wind-up Torch/Phone Charger
Very bright light, charges my phone quickly but doesn't charge my ipod very well. Handle is also quite flimsy, so you need to be gentle when winding. Only using short-term for camping so not much of a big deal, but I would've thought that the build quality would be better.

good idea BUT
Fantastic idea and reasonable price, but handle flimsy and comes away if you are vigourous with winding it up.

Wind-up Torch and charger
Brilliant piece of compact kit. For once, it is a torch which does not fade after about 10 seconds illumination, but retains its brightness. Winding and looking at the red LED is a bit of a challenge, becuase it is so small, but at least it does exactly what it says. The red LED indicates well if one is winding fast enough to be giving a charge. Should have bought two.

A real wind-up!
Don't bother buying this item! I went camping for a long weekend, hoping that I wouldn't find myself stuck without the means of communication by taking this with me. It sucked! Rather than charge mine and my son's phone's, it actually seemed to drain them of the little charge that was remaining. We actually considered that we might be winding it the wrong way! Save your money. Don't buy this product

Wearisome, but works
Torch works really well with a few turns. Charger works fine too, but it's hard work! Nice to have on hand, though, when you're caught in the wilderness without a socket in sight.

Good for emergency use ONLY!
I bought this as a last minute realisation that despite all hope, the battery on my Sony X10 would never last through Glastonbury festival! I was very impressed by Mobilefun's service - first class delivery arriving the very next afternoon - however very quickly realised that the charger would not be up to the job. For a very basic phone which consumes little power, this charger may be adequate for a single emergency call, however with a power-hungry phone such as the X10 (which also switches itself on once a charging current is detected), around 15 minutes fast & very laborious winding gave just a 1 percent increase in battery level! A similar poor performance was replicated on my friend's iphone. The build quality is also somewhat questionable: the bearings melted after around 5 minutes winding and only unstuck with a good deal of force (although once free it did operate as normal again). In it's favour, the charger does come with every sort of adapter imaginable and the torch works well. It is also very small which, although making it difficult to wind for any period of time, also makes it portable and therefore ideal for true 'emergency' use. Having given up on my purchase for it's intended use, I have since tried out another couple of options and would recommend the Trevor Baylis "mini eco radio"as the most effective of the wind up chargers generally available. This provides a full 500mA charge current and has an inbuilt battery capacity of 1800mAh (approx one full charge of my phone) to allow for "wind now, charge later" operation.

Cool little gadget
Hi all, Ok so I bought this with the thought "cool I can have a torch that doesn't need batteries" - and as a bonus it will charge my phone in the grimmest of days when I am stuck somewhere with great reception, no spare battery, no landlines, and no charge in my mobile!! Imagine a Blair Witch type scenario, middle of the forest, torch batteries have gone, mobile is dead. With this thing you can happily light up your tent and charge your phone to call mummy! hehe To power something like my HD2 I'd end up with arms like popeye and enough power for a text message I think, but can't see me ever NEEDING it! I've dropped it and spilt tea over it and its still in fine working order.(my warranty just died to bring you that info!) The LEDs are nice and bright. Great Product! As I said think "Unending Torch with benefits"

Good Value - Does the Job
Happy with the product. Bought it for the Glovebox of the car - for use in emergencies. Torch is very good, tested to see if it would charge my Sony Ericsson C905 and my BlackBerry 8300. Should do the trick!

Life Saver
Brought my Nokia 6300 back to life when I went camping. The torch is much more compact than expected. Very happy with the build quality. Torch is actually very good with three powerful LED lights. Not sure how long you would have to spend winding it up to charge your phone completely though! Would recommend. Very fast service from Mobile fun.

Not worth the money
The first charger sent to me did not work at all. Non of the functions were working. I had to spend additional postage to return this product. However the replacement seems to function and it appears someone tested it prior to dispatch. Time will tell if this product keeps functioning.
