Great but....
It all seems good, except you can't use the Venturi to move the track back and forward

So there is such a thing as magic
What a great little product this is. Easy to set up first time - took about a minute. Recognises my phone. (unlike other reviewers, it connects easily with my Blackberry each time I get in the car). My only issue is that the thumbwheel is a little fiddly, but that's partly because the socket I use for it is quite low down from the driving position, so I use the phone buttons to change track, answer calls etc. Call quality excellent.

Overall - good
When you spend 60 odd quid on a device you expect it to work well at what its meant to do. Its core features are handsfree calling and sterio audio streaming. It does both of these with grace, however anyone with an iphone will struggle to get any of its bells and whistles to shine. I cant get the skip track function to work so i have to manually change tracks which means you do have to get the phone out of your pocket. Caller id fails to display on the v mini also, which means the rds function is rather pointless ( other phones that support the phonebook dow load will probably be fine on this issue) If your 12v socket powers up when you start the car, you will have no docking issues. If its always on, sometimes you need to reset the device ( simple button hold, takes 10 seconds) Ill give it 4 stars as it does what its designed to do well, i cant mark it down too much on compatability with iphones, as thats probably down to steve jobs rather than venturi. Good product!

Good little kit
Quick and easy to set up; excellent quality radio reception, well over - riding other weak transmissions on the same frequency (a problem I found with audio - to - radio adaptors in the past) so it works, same frequency, everywhere from Wales to London for talking books. Very impressed.

Nice product
It is best for its value for money. Easy to install and operate. The buttons could have been designed better.

Venturi Mini - pairing and review...
Regarding pairing with a mobile phone: if you have to keep pairing the device then you have not set up your bluetooth settings on your mobile phone correctly, or you have reset them to default by upgrading your phone firmware, as I did. Auto bluetooth pairing is a function of your mobile phone not the device. You can play music wirelessly from your phone or wired from your MP3 player via your stereo speakers. You can take wireless handsfree phone calls via built in microphone in the Venturi Mini and your stereo speakers. You can also charge any device that has a USB charger cable be it your mobile phone or MP3 player. The phone book function only works on a few phones so dont expect too much there. Now to clear up another fallacy by another reviewer: it does NOT pause your CD and auto switch to radio to take a call no matter what kind of stereo you have, this all has to be done manually when a phone call comes through, but that in my opinion is the only drawback. Otherwise the Venturi Mini is the best piece of bluetooth kit on the market.

How cool is this!!
I love my Venturi - its easy to setup and I was astonished at the audio quality playing music from my phone. Hand free calls are good even at motorway speeds though call quality does drop as the amount of speed and noise increases, but still perfectly reasobale. I was surprised at the other reviewers comments that you have to pair eveytime - you don't - once it is setup with your phone connects automatically when you get into the car - its seamless. Great product, great sound, get one for your car- you wont regret it!

Venturi Cigar Lighter Transmitter
What a superb product! Using an XDA it plays the songs I have on my memory card and stops when a call comes in - like an expensive "in-car" system at a fraction of the cost, and is transportable from car to car.Brilliant!

problems
I don't know if it was a defective unit or the design but when i tried to use it for a week the bluetooth kept dropping and i couldn't hear the conversation through the speakers, although the ring tone was fine?? I've now sent it back and swapped for a parrot unit. Mobile fun have been great throughout, helping with return and replacement unit. It's a shame because i really wanted it to work.

Dreadful
Purchased two of these. Easy to set up. But each unit required to be paired with my mobile every time the car ignition was switched on. Ended up returning both for a refund.

So quick and so easy
I ordered the Venturi Mini at 5:pm one day and it arrived on my doorstep at 8:45 the next. By 9am the car radio was happily connected to both my iPod and my mobile phone - it does what it says on the packet. One tip for tuning, try the top and bottom of the FM range, not many radio stations anywhere exist at the extremes

Forget Bluetooth Stereo Headphones this is better
I was looking at A2DP stereo headsets and then I came across the Venturi Mini and relised this was a better soluition for my needs. What I wanted to do was listen to music and audio from my phone using its A2DP audio capability not realising there are more options for stereo bluetooth than headphones. This is just the perfect solution for the car. Its easy to setup and has great sound across my car speakers. The handsfree calling is the icing on the cake. Initially had a hiccup with FM setup but once I created a Venturi channel on my radio in a fairly clear radio channel it worked fine. The interface is easy to use while driving and its one of those 'set-it forget it' things that now I wouldnt be without. Highly recommended.

Fantastic little product
Was a bit sceptical at first that it could work, I was highly suprised to find that it was better than I thought. The bluetooth works extreamly well, and the music streaming too. Finding a clear station is a bit tricky in local radio land. Do be aware though, as with all FM transimtters of this kind, either the 2 cars in front or behind you can pick you up, as I tested this out at work in convoy. Especially if your having a phone conversation with your wife etc.... people can tune in to your brocast. But overall, a superb little gadget that has made me throw all the wired headsets out. The RDS works well too displaying the info from phone/venturi to your radio i.e phone contacts etc and music. Phone calls come through very clear from car radio and the person on the other end of the phone hears you crystal clear. Well worth the buy.

Not Just a Bluetooth Car Kit
I bought the Venturi mini thinking it was just a Bluetooth car kit. Since I have been using it I realise that it also streams music from my phone. Once I had found a clear frequency to use, I find that the sound quality is very good for an FM transmitter. The real win though is for music – I bought a bigger memory card for my phone and now have all my favourite tunes on my phone. When a call comes through everything is paired and ready. Concern would have been that playing music via Bluetooth would kill the battery but I now use the Venturi USB to keep the phone charged.

Simply The Best
This product does all that is required and more. It is easy to use, easy to set up, looks fantastic in the car and does not get in the way. I have tried other FM Transmitters for my ipod in the car and this one is much clearer. My stereo has traffic annoucments and automatically pauses the CD when a call comes through like a fully fitted car kit. Thank you Mobile Fun for this fantastic product.

Venturi music
A great little device, easy to setup and sounds brilliant, fantastic to be able to listen to music or podcasts from my phone, and handsfree works a treat.
