The Sim Free Nokia 6300 has been given an average rating of very good by 5 customers.
Good phone, always a fan of easy to use Nokias. Really like the blue alert lights on the said as i usually have my phone on silent. Not sure about other features as use the phone for making and receiving calls. Only problem I have noticed so far is that the battery life is pretty poor.

Good quality phone
This phone typifies Nokia quality. No wizz bang - latest gimmick - style features, just a reliable, smart and well thought-out phone which will do what it's meant to, well. The user interface is excellent, as you'd expect from Nokia, everything can be accessed via a clear, quick & logical manner; no Motorola/NEC style, "5 confusing menus to access text messages" etc.
Battery life is pretty good, not the best I've ever seen, but still very good. It was the easy-to-use MP3 player WITH DIRECT USB CONNECTIVITY! (i.e. the phone can connect to computer using standard USB cable!) that sealed the deal for me. Not a gimmick but a genuinely useful feature that will leave you thinking "why the heck don't all phones have this?"

6300
I bought this phone to replace my 6230i
BIG screen, the sheer slender form of the 6300 makes txting a little harder on the thumb as the keypad is on the lower 3rd of the phone - keeps moving in my hand especially when driving.
easier in the jeans arse pocket than the 6230i
same speedy menus and main features as the 6230i apart from no wallet function.
calender is better - notes for the day are displayed automatically on any bold days.
60minute voice recorder
camera - ok i spose, never use it
1000 contacts in phone memory + 200-250 on sim
useful feature is the blue lights on each side that flash when activity has been ignored on the phone.
does flash and audio messages
MAIN FEATURE
This phone supports the A2DP stereo bluetooth profile which works great with my
motorola S9 bluetooth stereo headphones.
rock profile with stereo widening ON sounds great - plenty loud enough.
6230i doesn't support this!
mini usb port is handy - any old mp3 player cable will connect to phone to pc.
signal recieption doesn't seem to be as good as the 6230i?
alarm/ringing volume - not a loud as 6230i

Hurrah for the 6300
I just replaced my Motorola L7 (which gave up the ghost last week) with a Nokia 6300 & hurrah!
Quick, easy to use menus (the L7 seemed to take a longtime switching between pages) + I can get reception where the L7 had diddly squat. The 6300 lets me divert calls where the L7 just sat and sulked if it had less than three solid blips on the signal strength.
I wish I'd binned the L7 sooner.
The 6300 seems to do exactly what it says it would.
