Astonishing Value
Easy hook up to my PDA and Laptop without reading the manual :-) Worked out of the box after charging. Remarkable for the price.
And I can only echo what is said below about delivery, ordered at 5pm one day, arrived before 10am the next day, all for £2.50. It can't get much better than that!

Stunning
I had a whale of a time trying to get this working on a laptop or netbook, but after a bit of tinkering with Windows Mobile the TomTom Nav GPS status screen lit up like a christmas tree. It's a lot more powerful than any internal GPS receiver I've ever used, including that in the TomTom One. I can't find one good reason to deduct a star.

Great Product
Product worked straight out of the box..GPS location accurate within 8 metres on average. Refresh rate good enough to use for driving and walking. Works with Nokia E50 Navigation, Trekbuddy, Google Maps, Nokia Maps. Took some internet research to get it to set up first time...easy to connect to E50, but getting Maps software to recognise it as bluetooth GPS device took a few attempts and a few reboots of the phone. Works every time once set up...plenty of advice on the internet. Does work with Google Maps despite Google saying they don't support bluetooth GPS devices, but it was tricky to set up. Worked straight away with other software. Instructions weren't much use if you don't know what you're doing. Device itself is very robust, been knocked around and dropped several times without any issues...great value for money....

Top service - great device
Ordered at 5.30pm last night, arrived 11.00am this morning, can't argue with that! Quick setup and paired with my phone (HTC Touch) perfectly, fired up TomTom and away I went. About as genuinely pain-free as that.
Top work Mobile Fun for a rapid dispatch - great product too.

what customer care !
What a disappointment, after waiting 5 days for delivery I then find that although my nokia N73 paired immediately with the receiver, no GPS was available. having deleated and paired again a few times without any success I turned to mobile fun customer care for help and advice. Next day I received email to say they had received my enquiry and would contact me within one working day, I`m still waiting and finally had to contact a competitor for help who immediately gave instructions to rectify my problem The nokia N73 GPS connection to sirf 3 receiver issue is well known according to the web community and with a few simple instructions can be resolved in minutes. I waited 4 days for a response from Mobile Fun and then gave up. So far I am very pleased with the receiver

Great device - not reliable?
Great device - worked out the box with Nokia N800 and N770.
Fixed location quickly when had satellites in view and accurate.
Slight drift of location when in marginal reception area.
BUT - it dies without warning - BT led continues to flash but no green led and no BT connexion possible.
Would have got 5 stars otherwise!

Terrible Product do not buy
After buying this less than a month ago the first thing I noticed was how long it took to actually detect any movment.
I began to live with this and then turned it on and the switch broke off the circuit board. I had only used it about 12 times awful build quality. It had been used that little that it had only had one small top up charge after buying it.

works with TomTom5 & Smartphone
While the manual is brief and the flashing LEDs are confusing I managed to get the thing working with TomTom5 on my E650 Smartphone, when you Pair the device you _have_ to name it 'Other Bluetooth GPS' (note caps) works a treat good signal even indoors.

Bargain!
I bought this item and turned it on next to my Nokia N73 with Nokia Maps loaded and within a couple of minutes it was all working. The unit works well even behind the Solar Glass screen on my Citroen. The pad on the back means that the unit stays put even on winding roads. Ordered late afternoon on Friday and had my mitts on the beast Saturday morning. Result!

Beware
Although this is a SIRF-III chipset receiver you need to beward. It works perfectly in NMEA mode but if you set it to SIRF protocol instead in any program it locks up and permanently destroys the device - there is no fix once that happens except a replacement.
So by all means use it but be very careful not to put it into sirf protocol mode.

I love it
Small and easy to use. I set it up for use with my Nokia e51 in moments and have used it with both Nokia maps and google maps on the phone. There is a one-off charge (something like €70 for 3 years) if you want to use the navigation software on nokiamaps rather than just the location finder, but not for googlemaps. In both cases you need to use internet access at some point. The GPS signal strength has been excellent so far. I am amazingly impressed by the wonders of technology.

Wonderful piece of kit
I got this to replace a new but faulty Touch G66 and I'm delighted I went for function over style in the end. The battery life on the first use was over 13 hours without a break! You can keep a spare charged battery which, on the face of it, would provide over a day's continuous use without needing access to a charger. And it works while charging so you can keep it plugged in if that's easier. It's not the most glamorous product but it's very compact and light. What's more it seems to work almost anywhere with hardly any view of open sky.

Great!!!
This product is great! It's tiny, simple to use, and reliable. It only has one button so even a total technophobe can use it. You press the button and a leds will show whether it is charging, charged, searching for satellite, found satellite, bluetooth yes/no. It's so easy. I use it with my Pocket PC. I can put the PPC and the GPS in my coat pocket, zip it closed, and the GPS still works perfectly! It even works in the house. You can charge it from car cig lighter, a PC USB port, or buy the optional mains charger (I did). If you hike, forget the pedometer - this is much better!

Good, but not perfect
I have been using this device everyday for about 6 months now. I have to say, I am very impressed by the signal strength it gets and how easy it is to use. I have never not been able to obtain a signal (touch wood!) and the only quibble I have with it is that sometimes it can take an age to initially lock on to the minimum 3 satellites but once connected it's fine. I would defenitely recommend it to anyone.

Is it really worth it?
sure is Worked fine straight out of the box, after about 2 weeks the device stopped working it powered on but the green LED for Sat lock status wouldn t come on Spoke to Mobile Fun helpdesk who were very polite and helpful and answered the phone within about 30 seconds I was advised that the unit would need replacing I sent the faulty device back on the Tuesday it cost 2 50 registered delivery and on the Thursday I received the replacement device through the post So far no problems with it Battery life is excellent reliability is good and it usually takes less than 10 seconds to get sat lock For the price this device is awesome and I can t see the need to spend more money on the other high end devices This GPS device sits in the glove box of my car without a view of the sky and it still gets full signal lock when used with tomtom mobile or Road Angel mobile on a Symbian device Excellent bit of kit throughly recommend it to anyone who wants GPS capability from their smartphone or PDA Instructions were basic it s simple to install

It's good but unreliable...
I use this in the car, to work TomTom 5 on an O2 XDA. Had to take the battery out,as it took longer and longer to to get satellite lock on each start up - thus hard resetting the device every time. Now it gets satellite lock 4 out of every 5 times, even waiting as long as 20 minutes in the open air. Hmmmm. Time to call customer services...

Great Customer Service...
Must say to begin with that Mobile Fun gave excellent customer service during this period and that has given me confidence to order from them again. In fact I already have :=)
However.
The first unit I bought failed after a day and a half (bluetooth OK, GPS refused to work). This was returned and replaced and the same thing happened again, this time in less than a day. All monies refunded very swiftly but I can't recommend the product on the basis of my experience

Great Product - Works well
I got this after trying my mates with my N95 and TOMTOM6. Works like a dream. The only thing I'm unsure of is how long it takes to charge, I've had it plugged in all day and the orange light is still flashing so not 100% sure if the charging circuit works properly as the instructions are a little vague to say the least. Overall though I'm thoroughly impressed, Works in the glovebox which is a bonus as it leaves nothing on show to thieving scumbags once you've taken your phone with you.

Great value, fast delivery, great item!
This GPS receiver is a great product, equally as good as my TomTom One standalone unit. I'm using mine with a Nokia N95 and TomTom Navigator 6. Poor build quality
Having to return a faulty product for the second time. First time battery would not hold its charge so GPS only worked when plugged into cigarette lighter or PC. Good customer service as replacement sent quickly with no fuss. Second time round the battery did not fit properly but fixed that with matchstick which wedged it in place. However the on-off switch has failed so cannot turn off power and the battery drains down. Shame as product works very well when plugged in. Unfortunatley my bike does not have a cigarette lighter!

Wow!
I ordered this on Tuesday morning and it arrived on Wednesday with the standard postage - great! I haven't had a chance to try it in my car yet, but I switched it on in my bedroom and it picked up NINE satellites immediately - amazing if you've been using a 12 channel non-SIRF GPS. I'd just say at this point that as it's a Nokia-style battery, I'm initially charging it for at least fourteen hours to try and optimise battery life.

Superb Product!!!
Ordered this reciever at 4:30pm, Delivered next day by 11:00am impressive. The unit itself is nice and small, sleek and compact design. Connected with my W950i without a glitch. Whilst Writing this review I have 10 solid sattelite connections, and so far while doing a little test drive, sattelites haven't fallen below 6. Don't pay twice the price just for a brand name. All in all reccomended buy for any double minded people.

Couldn't be better
I don't know who makes these. Mine's been thrown around the car chucked under seats and generally mistreated, and still it sits there happily. It did stop working recently, so I took it apart, messed around with it, and then realised the USB cable had snapped, and the battery was dead! All back together and still it worked.I've now purchased a SiRF III version of it.Its one of the smallest BT GPS units I've seen available, and is a lot better built than some of the unbranded crap you get on ebay.I cannot recommend this enough. The price is frankly stupid - It's worth double.Oh and by the way, mobilefun change £2.50 for normal postage, and I've not ordered anything yet that hasn't arrived the next day.Buy!

Good bit of kit once set up!!
I am now using mine on my XDA Exec running Memory Map It took a while to set up not due the GPS unit but the Mapping software I had to upgrade first to version 4.3. An earlier review discussing using COM 0 did not work up I worked it out that I have to use Com 8 but with set up to NEMA not SIRF!!
I kept getting error cannot open com port. As soon as I got the setting correct it picked up 16 sats inside my house which with my old Etrex Garmin will not pick up one. I am well impressed.

Great Value - wow with a big W!
I had a problem initially getting my PDA (Qtek S100) to recognise the GPS receiver even after pairing and enabling ports. After some initial 20 minutes of tinkering I was giving up for the night, but after I removed the USB charger cable it started to work, mysteriously. And it is a marvellous little thing.
Signal – great. I live in Denmark now and I get at least 5 satellites constantly, even in the glove box.
Delivery - top notch. Ordered Sunday evening, received Wednesday morning from the UK to Denmark, great service.
Documentation – very little but enough. I did see a link somewhere for this device, but can’t remember.
Highly recommended, both the device and mobilefun.

Very Impressed
My first experience of bluetooth GPS and was sceptical that such a little device could be as effective as the reviews have indicated, but was swayed to purchase by the reception qualities reported....Well it has proved to be more than I had dared to hope for. I'm using it on an o2 XDA EXEC running TOMTOM NAVIGATOR 7 and "see" up to 8 sats within 10seconds INSIDE my house!!!
Pairing with o2 xda exec was a doddle BUT my inexperience meant at first I thought it wasn't working as I hadn't realised on my xda I had to ALSO set up a "new outgoing port" for BTGPS..sorted that, used COM O and now up and running a treat(thought it worth a mention for other "novices", could avoid possible "faulty" returns? )
The BT receiver itself is a really neat, nicely weighted little box, with small rubbery feet that help keep it from sliding about, but why keep it on dashbosrd when it works just as well in glovebox/pocket/handbag etc..
Also being powered by the Nokia type battery and charged by mini usb is a bonus
Altogether absolutely FAB!!

Fantastic piece of kit. This replaced a Tomtom wired unit which gave up the ghost for no apparent reason. Gets excellent signal and map viewing is very accurate and smooth compared to old unit. Fast warm up. Tested battery and got 10 hours continuous use.Sits nicely under sun visor making it easy to hide from wood be thieves. Can easily disconnect iPaq and store under the front seat when out of the car and all is ready to go on return!Thoroughly recommend this unit worth every penny!

Well Impressed
Had a look around for Bluetooth GPS receiver and got to this one
What an excellent bit of kit - I am linking it to a Nokia N73 and it work exceptionally well and finds the sats within seconds.
The service from Mobile fun was excellent too - next day delivery no fuss - just what you want and expect

Ordered 15:30 and recieved the next morning. BT-GPS works perfectly and is very well priced. Will find satellites within seconds from indoors which cheaper GPS devices are not capable of. Well worth the money.

A little gem
First a mention of the service from Mobile Fun. Ordered 17:00 arrived 08:30 the next morning. I coundn't wish for better service. As for the SiRF III BT-GPS reciever all I can say is it has exceeded all expectataions.
Connected immediately to my Nokia 6230i and iPAQ. Maintains good signal lock in my car and even inside my house!
If needed you can get the full spec of this by googling 'GNT-120 Compact Bluetooth GPS'. Why pay twice as much for a name?

Excellent product so far
Just wanted to mention how great this cheap device is! Quick delivery, unpacked it and charged it using supplied USB cable + laptop for about 1 hour. Next I tried it in my backyard with my Acer N30 Pocket PC and MapSonic software. 50% of sky is blocked by buildings and trees, sky very cloudy, and still a perfect position fix after..not sure, but max 20 seconds I think.
I also own a Navman S10, same type of device, same price (but no sirf3). S10 has real problems in cities, or when sky is slightly blocked, plus is >2 times bigger than this little thing. Now just which I would have bought/tried them in the opposite order....

Great once it's working
I've had a few problems with my SiRF III GPS receiver. I've found at times it can take up to 30 minutes to get a steady signal, thats if the Bluetooth doesn't disconnect first. I'm using it with a Palm Treo 650 with TomTom 6. Once I've worked through the problems with the device, it works perfectly. I would give this 5/5, but due to (what I have found to be) slow cold start-up times, it only gets 4/5. Also tested with an i-Mate PDA2k, experienced the same problems with start-up times/disconnections.

excellent so far
First off, super quick delivery from MobileFun it has to be said. Ordered the item 12:30pm Monday, received it in the post Tuesday morning by 10am. Ace!
Paired straight away with my Sony Ericsson running TomTom Mobile 6, and seems to be working fine in a test run today. Only 4 satellites found so far but not really had a chance to take it on a long journey yet, but im sure it will handle the challenge fine.
Good product!

Very very good - a huge step up from the other budget bluetooth receiver (not that that one was bad either!)

Superb bit of kit
I use this with a T-Mobile Vario II and TomTom 6. The only problems I had were of my own making - not understanding how Bluetooth worked on the PDA! It is lightning quick on start up and even works from within my glove box. Great buy.

Pretty Good...
Worked pretty much out of the (unlabelled) box. Absolutely NO documentation, which is a real shame.
Does seem to work pretty flawlessly though.
I'd like to know what the red flashing led means when it's being charged - is it charging or is there a problem?

excellent piece of kit
I was very impressed with this receiver, it works very well and it's so simple to use. I put the receiver under my car seat and it still had an excellent signal - no problems at all. Cheapest sirf III receiver I seen on the internet!

Get them while you can !
This unit is only slightly larger than a box of matches and weighs slightly more. It paired up easily with my v1640 (aka HTC Universal) although I had to guess the pairing code was 0000. Even though there are no instructions and not even a company name on the item, the single button does it all. Hold down for a few seconds for off and again to power up.It takes a few seconds on power up to aquire about 6-7 satellites and you're away.Accuracy is good enough for me,street corners came up at the same time that I arrived on them and the speed was only a couple of MPH's out, and that's on a converted Jap import Pajero.I'm not sure if that's the TomTom or the GPS unit which calculates that. I've had one problem whereby it didn't find any satellites but the PDA could talk to it OK but that was cleared by removing and inserting the battery.
