Hmmm. Contrary to the reviews here I was very surprised to hear a siginifcant difference in the bass response between the these and the bass reflex phones that came as standard with the phone.
My first impressions of the HPM-82, across a wide range of music styles was "tinny" - as if the treble had been ramped up, with little bass being detected.
I'm not so sure I would go as far as previous commenters have gone, but then we do have to factor in personal preferences and on this ocassion, I felt a little let down.
What would be quite helpful is some form of comparitvie chart listing phone type against music type or at least some way of providing a reference to distinguish the tone quality and range. (No idea if possible though!)
The service and site functionality I experienced on this site was first class.

Mind Blowing Performance !!
After a lot of R n D i bought a HPM 82 yesterday. Its really a good one.The sound quality is amazing n far better dan HPM 85.The most imp thing abt HPM 82 is dat almost all the outside sound is reduced to minimum n u get perfect crystal clear sound wid huge bass reflex. This product is also provided with 3 different sizes of ear buds which can be used according to ur size of ur ear canal. Also the earphones has got a 3.5 mm pin that can be connected to any other device.A person sitting near to u cant even listen to what u r hearing even if u r pumping sound at full volume.
One main drawback i realised abt HPM 82 is dat the remote n the microphone are seperated,n the length of the cable is too short
It is compatible with K750i All the features of the remote works well with K750i but u cannot change the radio stations with the remote u have to do manually from cell
WORD OF WARNING :
U CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT IT ONCE U HAVE USED IT U WILL GET ADDICTED TO IT !!

Better than HPM-70
Very rich bass and 3 different sizes of earbuds. It works perfectly with my W300i in music mode, but when in radio, there is a big problem with cyclic interference (noise from the remote I think) and so I have to find a specific spot to minimize the noise and listen to a station. SE does not recommend this headset for W300i, so I have no complaints.

WOW!!!
I bought this earphones as a replacement to hpm 64. I was awestruck with its quality in sound. I felt really deep bass and the external enivornmental sounds are reduced to minimum. This can make you live in your music and one more excellent feature in it is others cannot hear the sound, even if you are listening at full volume. Design, quality, performance exceeded my mark. I would recommend these earphones to anybody without any doubts.

HPM-82 Headphones
I had been using the headphones I got with my k800i to listen to music when I was at work and unfortunately through misuse they got broken, I got given the HPM-82 headphones as a Christmas presents and they excellent, a cracking upgrade set of headphones!
They fit nicely into your ear and stay there securely. They are also very good at keeping out any surround noise, even when at a very low volume.
The only downside that I can see of the headphones is that the remote control to control the volume/track you are listening to is very low down on the cable and is separate from the control/microphone you use to answer calls with. It would have been good to have the two controls combined so you could clip it near to the top of your jacket for easy access, as it is it is very fiddly with the two separate controls.
A minor annoyance though, overall a very good set of headphones. Well worth considering if you are looking to upgrade/replace your current headphones.

Amazing sound quality, great comfort for your ears (Due to silicon buds they manage to lower the external noise to minimum. You feel isolated from external sounds. Suggested also for noisy environments such as the underground), nice and solid design.Overall rating as excellent Product

good but not perfect
yeah like the other guy said Sony should have looked at the idna mrh200 for their design specification - but you do get the cool sony earbuds that cost £20 on the highstreet - idna ones are whack. Also I'm not sure how the two remotes compare on quality - the idna isn't a sprung loaded clip (moulded) and it might break quicker (especially with a heavy handed dude like me!!) but i think in terms of quality it's a draw (hong kong china taiwan doesn't really matter where they make it - they both cost about £2 to make and this is £20 the idna is £12 - who do you think gets the money??)
I think sony just had too many mic housings spare and is using them up before combining remote and microphone!!

Earphone size maybe just a tad too small. And always feels as the control remote is upside down.

Terrible
Looks nice and Good quality... but that's all.no fast forward/backwards ...why?when push on button it takes a second until he reacts ...why?microphone and remote are separated...why? no radio stations control.. again why?no key lock ..... all this things i have already with the Touch SRC 100 /iDNA MRH 200 remote control. It took Sony Ericsson more then a year to come up with this worst remote control that sony ever had! and i have and had many! the only light point is that he will last longer then the others (cos i will not use him)piotr

Official Sony Ericsson walkman headphones
At first these I never understood how these headphones worked as they go right in your ear... But as soon as you get to grips with them they are magical!
You put them in and you are shut off from the whole world, and they are very discreet you can wear them in the office and no body will hear them even if your pumping the music at full volume!
An my walkman phone has the equalizer if you put the phone on mega bass its like you are in a rave you cannot hear anything... someone can be sitting next to you and call you and you wouldn't even hear them!
I've lost mine (I say sobbing) thats why i am on this site... I'm going to buy a new pair
I recommend them to anybody
P.S WORD OF WARNING:
Once you have them you will never be able to live without them... AGAIN!!!!!
